I recently used Bell Financial Solutions for my first property purchase. As a first-time buyer, the whole process was completely new to me, but the team made everything feel straightforward and ensured that everything was handled correctly.

They were always responsive, helpful, and happy to answer my questions throughout the process. A special thank you to Charlotte and Hayley for all their hard work in helping to get the purchase over the line. I highly recommend them!

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received during my remortgage application.

Over a period of approximately eight weeks, I experienced significant delays, poor communication and a lack of clarity regarding the progress of my application. Despite requesting documentation on multiple occasions, I was never provided with a mortgage illustration in writing, although I was repeatedly informed that it had been sent.

During this time, I was contacted by third-party solicitors who advised they were acting on behalf of Halifax. This was confusing, as I had not received any formal documentation outlining the details of the proposed remortgage.

When I raised concerns regarding the lack of communication and requested clarification, the remortgage process was discontinued rather than my concerns being addressed. This resulted in a considerable amount of wasted time and unnecessary frustration.

Having since read other customer reviews, I noted similar complaints regarding communication and responsiveness. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this service.

Joe Turner was a huge help when I was trying to secure a mortgage for my first home.
The advice and guidance he provided was invaluable and he couldn't have done more to aid me in choosing the right option which suited my circumstances and requirements.
He was always available for a consultation, constantly checking in with me at every stage of the process.

The service provided was excellent, always Daniel and Joe giving a clear explanation of each step of the process, when I had questions, very kind they helped me, they gave as well great follow up in order to complete all the process of my re-mortgage, and even they helped me to get a cheaper life insurance which I appreciate, I recommend 100% their services.

Very helpful and easy process

I had a great experience with my previous mortgage broker. However when remortgaging things went radio silent. The point where unknowing what was happening. We were dealt with someone different, with short, sharp responses. No contact, when dealing with finances and changing over mortgages we wanted to know what would come out and at what point. There were unclear lines of when one mortgage would end, what payments would be deducted and when the first payment would be deducted for the mortgage. As you can appreciate this exceeded £3k+. When dealing with this and bills etc you would be highly concerned. We were asked to sign documents for the mortgage and got one word answers from them. Like thanks. We gave up at that point. I was introduced to Bell Financial through a client I worked with for years. We were not informed our mortgage broker left the business and when informed we assessed why the communication dropped rapidly. The client service in which our previous broker provided was exceptional, contacting us on annual leave, when she was getting on a flight, I was so disappointed of the lack of client care recieved after her departing the company. The one word answers and the no empathy or understanding of financial transactions left a sour taste in my mouth. Even when asking further clarification we were asked abruptly “please see previous messages”. This was not the experience we had with our previous broker. The fee we paid our previous broker was worth more than the money, however this transaction felt disappointing.

To add to this the response which the company gave after this review was worse than the original. The managing director sent this dated 16/04/2026 at 10:22pm, which was extremely unprofessional:
“ It’s a shame you didn’t contact me in the first instance before you left a review. It says a lot about you, not us, that we have had over 500 5* reviews and you are the only person that feels we didn’t deliver. In fact qthe real reason was you wouldn’t listen, you were more incompetent than anyone we know, and the rudest client I have ever come across. Your situation was explained more than 10x (I’ve counted) and you still ‘didn’t get it’. Just because you can’t handle your own finances- doesn’t mean you should blame the one that got you your home. I’ll respond accordingly.”
