Set up for overexertion and failure
My recruiter seemed more interested in talking about my personal life and my country's strife during screening, while bragging about all his vacation time. He told me about my interview two days in advance in writing. It was clear during the interview that he relayed info to the interview panalists in a negative light after telling me they would "probe" me. The interview was a degrading experience, with TUSLA. The recruiter is not responding to my emails after inferring I would have other opportunities and presenting me with a nasty report card. CPL is not responding to my emails. Should have known when the recruiter's emails first went to spam, straight into the trash bin for this company.

Terrible place to work
Terrible place to work the last 1/2 years. Culture is gone to the dogs and alot of people are leaving/have left. Would be a much better place if Lisa left, as she is holding it back and people are afraid of her. Bad work environment.
I applied for a role
I applied for a role, and another recruiter asked for a call. I had put down my current salary on their form when applying. During the call, the recruiter asked me what I was curently on, and there was a loud intake of breath and "that's very high, come back to me if you decide to take a lower salary". It isn't the job of a recruiter to comment on a salary. The sooner pay transparency comes in and recruiters cannot ask these questions and must state salary on job ads. the better.

Extremely unprofessional and inappropriate experience
I have applied for a Recruiter position here multiple times. I am an HR MBA student with over 6 years of experience in healthcare.
A female recruiter called me and asked why I wanted the job. Then she started scolding me unnecessarily, saying my skills weren't enough, asking intrusive questions about my job changes, salary, and contract details. Some questions didn't even make sense. I stayed polite and answered.
She then told me my English wasn't good enough and that I wasn't suitable for the role. But then she said she actually called me because she is looking for a caregiver for her mother. She offered me 20 euros per hour and said she was worried after speaking with me.
I was shocked and hung up. This is highly unprofessional and a complete waste of a candidate's time. Using a job interview to offer private caregiving work is absolutely unacceptable.
Lack of Clear and Timely Communication
Over the course of my 5 latest job application via CPL Lifesciences, I have repeatedly experienced a lack of clear and timely communication. After applications were submitted on my behalf, I was unable to obtain meaningful information regarding progress, feedback, or outcomes which I think should be delivered by default. I have experienced this neglect sometimes despite a close follow up. In addition, I was once provided with an incorrect job description, which further undermined my confidence in the job application process with CPL Lifesciences. Dr Bulent Ulker MD. incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful
actual date of the experience was back in January 2023. I get an email for a role i am really interested in and we agree to have the call at 4pm. 4pm hits and then i wait 10 minutes 20 minutes. Anyway i do not recall the exact time they called but it was much closer to 5pm then 4pm. I am understandably quite flustered being on a bus. I am not sure if to talk now or later because i really want the role but i am really shocked and upset on how their lack of respect with punctuality and i am unable to make the call later. They mention some doubts on the suitability of the role due to the location (i was in south london the role was in west london). I was not happy with that statement and told them that and then they rudely hung up on me.

Worst recruitment agency ou there
Worst recruitment agency ou there. There are never legitimate jobs and the recruiter clearly don't communicate with each other. They have reached out to me for the same role in the past two years that apparently needs to be filled ASAP for the last two years, but when I apply they either ghost me or they tell me about another offer for a role that is way lower that they have contacted me for. Also they are literally advertising the same role for several years on certain job boards for which ** spoiler** you will never get a response but you will get a random call for a much lower role with a third of the salary a few weeks later. Avoid at all cost

Frustrating experience with outdated systems and poor transparency
I worked through CPL for 2.5yrs on a contract role for a large electronics company in the UK - and had a bad experience from Day 1. While the day-to-day timesheet processing was functional, the underlying systems and policies are outdated, confusing, and ultimately not contractor-friendly.
The biggest issue is their holiday accrual system, which is unnecessarily complex. They claim to offer 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, but in reality, it’s near-impossible to ever “earn” the full entitlement unless you work a full January–December stretch. Why? Because they delay holiday accrual until after the first full week of January, yet deduct bank holidays like 1st January from your balance – before you’ve had a chance to accrue any leave at all. It's a structural flaw that unfairly penalises anyone who leaves mid-year.
On top of that, pension contributions were mismanaged earlier in my contract – something I only discovered by comparing my payslips with colleagues from other agencies. There was no communication from CPL until I raised the issue myself, at which point they admitted the error but took no real accountability.
The systems they use for tracking pay, leave, and deductions are outdated and not user-friendly, which means it’s often up to the contractor to spot mistakes or inconsistencies. That’s not good enough. Transparent, modern systems should be a baseline – not a luxury.
I’m relieved to be moving on to an agency with clearer processes, fairer policies, and less admin burden on the worker. If you’re being given a partner colleague role with CPL, I’d strongly suggest you ask very specific questions upfront about how pay, pensions, and leave are managed – and get it all in writing. Or ask to move to another agency!

Very bad recruitment company. They call you only when they have someone for position you have applied to discourage you and after never call you again. l think your application is taken off then as no one is contacting you anymore.
This is an illegal practice and someone should look into it in my opinion.
CPL Ireland is discriminating people!
CPL recruiters, hiring managers are discriminating people.
I have applied many times to the positions in Ireland which 100% align with my skills and experiences and let alone getting hired or getting an interview, I have never even received an email from the company! I have been totally ignored, many times!
Maybe it is race, age and sexual orientation related but they are discriminating people!
This gives me clues as to what kind of a company CPL is.
Though it still is very disappointing and upsetting, I could have been treated in a worse way had I been hired.
You are better off without them, stay away!

Communication Nil
They have HSE contract but won’t reply to CVs. I’m a touch typist with Audio Transcription, Level QQI Medical Terminology, MOS Master Certification with 10 years office admin experience and they didn’t follow up. She told me we have loads of positions available in HSE hospitals that’s was the last contact. This contract needs to be reviewed by HSE. Got a job with HSE through different recruitment company a professional one.

Agency previously under the name of RIG Healthcare - used back in 2017 and it was an absolute shambles. Terrible pay rate, poor communication and plenty of times not getting paid on time! Dealt with Joe Bateman at the time and the manager Joe James and they were both awful. Would not recommend to anybody! Don't be fooled by a name change.
