The problem I have with a lot of these…

The problem I have with a lot of these companies is their software is designed to get you to call in to an 800 phone number to sell you expensive remote support package that you don’t need. I appreciate that Cyberlab is maybe the only company selling a PC Cleaner/PC Optimizer type software that doesn’t try to sell you on expensive remote support products that are usually a scam.

Great product and great support

Great product and great support! Only issue I had is their documentation could be a little better so I had to contact them a couple times but they always get back to me the same day. That’s better than the couple other companies I’ve tried out.

While their drive shredder is about as fast as all the other shredders I’ve tried, I still wish they could make it faster. It takes many hours on each drive. I like they don’t try to upsell you other software or unwanted services. That’s rare online.

Been using this great software for a…

Been using this great software for a couple years. I like how it gets rid of the tracking cookies and I can shred browser history so there’s no trace left behind. Love the file shredder and security tools.

I agree with recent posts

I agree with recent posts. Don't waste your money. They seem to have disappeared with with mine and several other peoples money. I paid as usual for the Ultimate cover which I haven't received. No response from them for over 2 weeks since they took my payment on automatic renewal with my debit card so no chance of getting my money back and I'll have to cancel my card so they can't take any more. Let's hope the US authorities look in to their dealings.

I have used their software for over 10…

I have used their software for over 10 years and this year after renewing it thru paddle I received 2 numbers neither are good. A dozen emails and chats garnered zero responses DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. And here we are 5 days later and no response I wish I knew what happened to their customer service

Five stars for Cyberlab!

Cyberlab (formerly Zookaware!) has been my super-support-system for many years. Their enabled scans, tuneups, defrags, etc. are a regular routine on my workstation, and I recommend them to friends online and off-,especially for their quality service and personal support. Thanks Cyberlab, I'm looking forward to many more years of connection!

I've been a customer for 9 years - maybe not again

I've been a customer for 9 years. I live in Canada. I informed support that auto-renewals are not legal here and that I don't like them anyway. Until this year, it has been no problem to have a renewal notice and a link sent every year so that I can decide if I want to renew and review the price before I do. I don't know what changed this year - they told me I had no choice but to auto-renew. The customer support has gone way down hill. I always get the same guy (Oliver) and he always denies I'm having a problem, sometimes after fixing it. Sometimes it takes days for him to get back to me. Never happened before this year. I used to love chatting with the support techs in Anchorage about any issue. Now its not live, and from somewhere in Washington State (I think) and the issues can take forever to get resolved. The "I don't see any problem" response after it gets fixed is really annoying. (13 year Nortel employee - not a novice here).
Response to your response Carl: For 8 years I received a renewal notice with a link where I could renew after reviewing the charges and approving them. Not this year. I voiced my concern over "negative option billing" and your support crew responded with a solution, until now. My review is not false. NOT FALSE AT ALL. My previous concern was about my activation that was good for 5 computers, but I only had 3 activated and wanted to activate a 4th. The code didn't work. I notified support (Oliver) on July 18 at 5:12PM. I tried several times that day and the next to use my activation code until it somehow worked (copy and paste each time) just before 9PM the next day. Just after, around 9:45PM July 19 (more than 24 hours later), I finally received a response (Oliver) that he looked and could not find a problem. Coincidence? Again, maybe it was, but........... Incidentally, I was not rude, hostile, or threatening - how dare you! - he was. I stated facts. His conjecture about my cellphone, cable, and Netflix (Canada), none of which are autobilled incidentally, as some kind of comparison was not appreciated at all. Gaslighting me into thinking I was wrong over the last 9 years, or lying about what I wrote is totally inappropriate. I have the records from each renewal and copies of all of the correspondence to prove it.
Again, no false statements here. Edits were made to ensure accuracy. I assure you that your support has not been within minutes until yesterday since the name change/sale - it has been over a day and sometimes days. I can see that accuracy is not your strong point, nor is truth. I just switched to a company that does (like you did in the past) the ability to turn off auto-renew and enables me to delete my credit card info from the order company. Too bad you're slipping and you won't even admit it. I'm sure I'll have to come back here and correct a number of your inaccuracies. I don't have the time or the desire to correct every inaccuracy you made in your latest edit. You're not worth it any more.
Hi Carl again, For 8 years I was never auto-renewed. Your wrong. My last 2 support requests about software problems took 26 and 28 hours to get a response. You're wrong. I never had any disrespect for your or any support reps. You're wrong. I never requested any cancellation. You're support tech canceled my subscription without any such request coming from me. We were still working out the auto-renew change issue. You're wrong. At this point, I don't think I need to respond further to your changes/additions. I have time stamps on all the emails (sent and received). I have all the subscription expiry notices and all my credit card statements. You seem to be proud of responding to me on a Saturday. What did you fix? Nothing? Let's see how many other customers out there want a response from the CEO of a software company they do or formerly did business with to antagonize, falsely accuse, harass, gas light, and attempt to bully them to take down a negative post about a real experience?........................I'm hearing crickets Carl.

And thanks for the most interesting review I've read to date about our company! It's the first time I woke up with 14 emails from Trustpilot from the 14 times your review was edited over the period of 7 hours last Friday night. I especially thought it was odd because our support team answered all your questions in less than one hour and most within a few minutes. You were well informed multiple times prior to posting this review that what you posted is false.

Like most software companies (even large ones like Microsoft and Adobe), we use resellers to sell our software online. Each reseller provides us the order form to use on our website and they each have their own compliance departments and legal team to ensure they follow Visa/Mastercard rules plus all government laws and tax regulations worldwide. We have accounts with currently or are approved to sell our software through all the major resellers, including two in Canada.

Jim, I believe this one star review is solely because you misinterpret a law in Canada and because our reseller, Paddle, has different features than our reseller, 2Checkout and for personal reasons you don't like the change to Paddle, which is fine, you can switch back to 2Checkout, we use them as one of our resellers as you know.

I was delighted to spend over one hour on Saturday writing in detail via email to you how things work at our company, how software resellers work, what the laws are and explain that the law you are reading is being misinterpreted, to assure you everything is being done legally and ethically. I've owned the company since 2004, so I believe I know what I'm talking about, how subscriptions work and how software resellers work. I hoped you could have a better understanding of our industry and how it all works in relation to what the stated concerns were.

Jim, your previous ZookaWare/Cyberlab subscription through 2Checkout was partially refunded at your request in 2019 which cancelled the subscription (that's simply what 2Checkout does, it's not our policy) and due to a mistake on our side you got a free year of our software. Then you switched to a different reseller, Paddle, who handles subscriptions differently, and better in our opinion. If you want a subscription through your original reseller, 2Checkout, all you have to do is ask us because we'd be happy to send you the order link to sign up with 2checkout again!

Over 90% of our comments about switching to our reseller Paddle have been overwhelmingly positive, but I understand sometimes people don't like change or they like different features or the way one thing looks over another and that's why you were welcome to keep your original 2Checkout subscription or sign up for a new Cyberlab Ultimate subscription through 2checkout!

Our company sold our software as a yearly auto renewal subscription since 2004. We have not changed anything about how we handle yearly subscriptions. You are emailed at least one week prior to billing any subscription and you can cancel any time (including on the thank you page you'll see a couple seconds after your initial purchase). Some of our resellers allow you to cancel in the emails too, each one has different features.

All purchases, including yearly subscription renewals, always have a 60 day money back guarantee.

I reviewed the 14 emails you sent to our support department over a 6 hour period last Friday. Considering how rude many were, accusing us of criminal activity, credit card fraud, illegally storing your credit card (we don't), telling our support they took 6 days to respond to you (it was less than one hour), I feel our support handled your emails in a professional manner.

We don't handle any credit card data, we don't store credit cards, we don't charge credit cards, or manage subscriptions, thus it's impossible for us to even commit the crimes you accuse us of. This was all explained in incredible detail by me and I hoped since you've been a subscriber for 9 years we could reach a mutual understanding. It seems I failed at explaining things well enough, maybe the wildfire smoke is starting to effect us all.

I believe your original complaint regarding support is because you contacted Paddle, our reseller, who is based in London England. Our reseller does not provide support for our product as they stated to you and told you to contact our company. Our reseller does handle billing, charging your credit card, PCI Compliance, subscription billing, storing payment information, legally selling you the software and collecting/paying sales tax. They ensure everything is done legally in every country worldwide and they are very good at it.

Jim, I personally reviewed your support requests in the past 18 months, I see one time you waited 12 hours for a response because tech support had to look into a technical issue to see what was causing your issue and it was solved within that time. I see one email last month that took 3 days to respond to because we had a couple emails go into the wrong folder in our support center and didn't see them because they are not supposed to be in that folder. We contacted our support center company about the folder bug and are watching so it doesn't happen again. Other than that, I see that we always responded quickly to your requests, always the same day, sometimes within the hour and sometimes in real time.

Plus, I doubt you will find any competitor of ours whose owner or CEO will personally email you on a Saturday.

Our support team deserves to be treated in a professional manner. Our support team does not deserve these false accusations posted about them in this false Trustpilot review or what was said to them. Our support team is an incredible group that gets high marks from almost everyone.

I like to say that support is a two way street, the better you can describe your issue or question, the better and faster we can solve your issue!

Rare need of tech support, quickly resolved.

In all the years I have subscribed to ZookaWare, this probably the second time I needed tech support. They quickly responded via chat with accurate directions. I was again able to process the app.

You pay for the pro and then unless you want to pay veagain you are sent a link that states we sent link to your email. I have been waiting and multiple attempts to get assistance. I have not been contacted yet. I started chatting over 90 minutes and can't get acknowledged. Worst service I have ever seen for a paid service. Looking for a replacement on the first day of service.

You purchased a subscription for 5 computers so your download link is good for 5 computers. You can uninstall ZookaWare Pro at any time to remove a computer from your subscription!

Your ZookaWare Pro download link is also emailed immediately upon your purchase from support@zookaware.com. These emails normally go into people's inboxes, but depending on your spam, or folder settings in Gmail please check your "All Mail" folder or your spam folder.

I see that our support team already replied to all of the 4 emails you sent today, with the longest response time being 2 hours. I'm sorry it took this long to reply as it's longer than normal, but once in a while we get a morning with more chats and emails than normal.

I had to reload Zookaware as I got a new computer. I found I could not register it and was somewhat frustrated. I sent off a quick email to Zookaware support and within 24 hours I had a prompt, friendly reply with expert advice and in no time I was up and running again!!.

Hi Joseph, I agree with you, ZookaWare does not start up fast enough and the ZookaWare Pro spyware scan is not fast enough. We’re planning to release speed improvements in the first or second software release of 2021. I believe all other features are running as fast or faster than all our competitors, but please let me know if that’s not your experience. The spyware scan in ZookaWare Pro can take a while to run depending partly on your computer and the number of files, folders and everything else on it, but you can automate the scan entirely in ZookaWare Pro’s Scheduler so you’re not sitting around waiting for it to finish.

I just responded to your recent support email requesting a few more details from you to make sure we address your specific concerns about how fast ZookaWare runs on your computer in our upcoming releases.
