Avoid at all costs!
I should have known better than to buy from an online shop I'd never heard of before. But on the other hand, I like to give small businesses a chance, especially when they are cheaper in price and because in the past online shops had offered a speedy delivery and great customer service.
So I placed my order with EveryDayMaternity. Big mistake! The order comprised of 4 maternity bras and 2 packs of reusable breastpads. As any breastfeeding mum will know, a speedy delivery in maternity related items is a must.
It took 5 working days for the delivery of the 4 bras only - BUT they were the wrong size! the invoice actually stated the correct size, but they had sent a size smaller! Obviously can't wear them so I phoned them immediately. There was an answering machine and I left a message (I had received the parcel on a Saturday and later realised they don't work weekends).
They did not phone me back, so on Monday I tried calling again. This time the message on the answering machine had changed and advised to contact them via a form on their website. So I did. Two days later, still no reply. So I used the form again asking why they had not contacted me yet.
They finally replied to the second e-mail asking what the problem was!!! I explained it again that they sent me wrong size and asked for my correct order and for return instructions.
They told me they had not received a return! Complete shambles. I had to e-mail back to say I did not expect to pay for postage for their mistake!
They finally sent the correct bras together with a return label and I posted the smaller ones back immediately. But still no breast pads. They said we'll send by the end of next week. That then turned to the end of the week after. And the week after. Then they said they had sent them. Then that they were sending them a "second time".
When queried about whether they had them in stock yet (the original reason for the delay was lack of stock) they insisted they did.
The order was placed on the 9th of June and it is the 1st of August and no pads have arrived. When I asked for my money back and that I don't want the pads now as it's too late, they made up an excuse about waiting for the outcome of royalmail investigation.
Looks like they are stalling long enough for the deadline to pass, after which I won't be able to claim my money back through other avenues.
Bottom line: If you'd rather receive your order and not have to wait ages for the wrong items or no items at all, if you'd like good customer service and advisors you can talk to over the phone, then do not order from this company.
