My experience with this letting agent has been extremely disappointing and has left me feeling that collecting holding deposits is a higher priority than helping landlords find suitable tenants.

I sincerely hope regulators continue to clamp down on the sort of unethical practices that, in my experience, Greenco uses, where collecting holding deposits appears to take priority over getting deals done with good prospective tenants for their clients.

My opinion is clearly not an isolated one, and unfortunately my own experience lived up to the company's poor reputation.

I paid a holding deposit, after being strongly encouraged. I completed everything that was asked of me, and we were at the very end of the application process. I fully intended to rent the property. Unfortunately, my guarantor suffered a stroke and was suddenly hospitalised, causing an unavoidable delay that was completely outside of my control.

Despite the property being placed back on the market, and despite me being able to provide a different guarantor immediately afterwards, I was told I was not even allowed to reapply. That decision made no sense to me. If the goal is to secure the best tenant for the landlord—particularly when they knew I was a tradesman intending to replace and improve several aspects of the property—why refuse to consider someone who was still ready, willing and able to proceed?

Throughout the process, I felt there was very little willingness to work towards a solution. Instead, the approach seemed rigid and entirely focused on deadlines and whether responses from references would meet the deadline.

Everyone understands that deadlines are important. What I struggle to understand is why a genuine applicant, who missed one because his father had a stroke, is permanently excluded from renting a property that is still available.

Based on my experience, I would advise to avoid Greenco entirely, both as a landlord or a prospective tenant.

I believe they are exploiting the current state of the rental market.

My honest opinion would be to avoid this letting agents if you need your property sooner rather than later! If, however, you have plenty of time they may be worth it…?

Time can be so so valuable when you’re in the market for a flat and in my personal experience when applying for a flat with Greenco you’re left in the dark.

Email updates are sparse, if any, and you’re left with no choice but to ring up where you’re sometimes met with a bit of an attitude and made to feel like an inconvenience. Sometimes the person on the phone was really pleasant however and I understand it can be a frustrating/stressful job.

Property advert is now expired. I feel like it’s common courtesy to notify prospective tenants of these updates.

The only reason this is not lower rated review is because of the lovely blonde woman who was at the viewings. I believe she said she was was from Lithuania or Slovakia? You were wonderful! Had it not been for you this would be a 1 Star⭐️

I would highly highly recommend Green co estate agents they were so helpful so accommodating you could call them any time and they’re there to help you with any queries that you have. The transition was smooth. I just wanna say a massive thank you to Lucy, Megan, Isabelle, Joan and Diana I can’t wait to move into my new home so thank you all for forgetting me there. You’re all absolutely fantastic. X

just heard from few friends furst time buyers thath last min before completing the went up with 20k or 15 k there drive first time buyers mad after having the mortgage be avoided

I have dealt with Hannah from offer to completion . I have bought many properties over the years and often found that once the offer was excepted the agent lost interest in you. Hannah was brilliant and made this purchase much easier to deal with . Every problem that came up she dealt with. She answered all the questions and sorted every problem that came up throughout the procedure . She went on and beyond which I remain extremely grateful . She dealt with the whole process with professionalism whilst still having a caring helpful personal approach. Ten out of ten for Hannah .

Staff tell lies regarding promised maintenance to property. Keep getting fobbed off and work not completed. Gardens totally neglected with overgrown trees and weeds. No consideration to neighbouring properties. I wouldn't recommend this company
