I have read your email regarding cancelling my membership immediately due to the misuse of our DSO parking facility which i was using it overnight as stated on your mail which is untrue and unacceptable. I am a member on same location nearly 2 years already.

I need to be absolutely clear, the accusations you made are false. You did not contact me at any point to verify the situation or request clarification, yet you proceeded to make claims without any factual basis.

I questioned your staff (Philippine Lady) on May 8, 2026 1400H when she was on the parking facility as i was immediately there when she send the police message regarding the parking memo on my car as i was parked 3 hours by that time. I understand that i surpass the given time limit of 2.5 hrs which it was not my intention.

Then suddenly your Philippine Lady staff/management will just go on cancelling my gym membership same time without informing me as this was the first time it happened. My last day of membership was not even the same day when they decided to cancel.

This action was just very unproffesional and shows a very very poor management of a customer service and a very rude response by the Philippine Lady on duty that day when discussing about the parking.

It is unacceptable to issue accusations and take action without even attempting to confirm the details with me. I expect this matter to be reviewed immediately, and hope Gymnation will take action on this seriously.

Thank you for the feedback. We want to address this openly, because how we handle situations like this matters to our wider member community as well as to you.

Our parking facility exists for one reason: so the people who come in to train can find a space when they arrive. With over 200,000 members across our clubs, protecting that experience is something we take seriously - which means we do review our entry data, and we do act when the facility is being used outside its intended purpose (ie you not using the gym, but using the car park that is dedicated to members)

In your case, that review was completed in full before any decision was taken. Our team has shared the complete entry log with you directly by email - with gym scans and parking scans logged separately - along with an open offer to review CCTV footage for any specific date you believe is inaccurate. That offer will continue to stand.

We try hard to be fair, consistent, and on the side of the members who pay to use the gym as it's intended.

You are welcome back to use the gym (and the member car park) anytime

I appreciated being able to trial the gym for a few days before committing and I appreciated the tailoring of my membership plan. Nobody showed me around the gym or gave me any kind of induction but as a regular gym goer I was able to figure it out myself. A complete beginner would likely need more assistance.
Receptionists are friendly and PT Omar is also very friendly.
Blitz class is great, I generally strength train but enjoy joining Blitz once or twice per week. Kate is great, very energetic and engaging. Abdalla’s class also pretty good although not as well structured as Kate.

It would be nice if Gymnation provided a water fountain / drinking station in the gym which is normally found in most other gyms. If you want water there are vending machines that dispense plastic water bottles which generates significant waste. That said the gym is clean, has good equipment with friendly staff.

Really enjoying the classes…

Really enjoying the classes particularly Yoga, Pilates and reformer however find it very difficult to book and am not able to join waitlist. Would like to see additional classes at 4.30pm week days even virtual spinning or body pump in Al Quoz. Have also tried Motor city but the car park exit situation is extremely bad with queuing to leave for around 20mins which has put me off the club, definitely needs improving or a better exit system as barriers are extremely slow.
However overall I am enjoying the experience of going to GymNation in Al Quoz.

I love gymnation ....Both Mark and Comfort are excellent in…

Both Mark and Comfort are excellent in their work.They make my experience at gymnation so so good .If it was not for them I would have probably not joined the gym.

Also I love Blitz both Rasha and Kerry are so good .

Also I wonder why Wednesday we are not having blitz.

Earlier it used to be all 5 days a week now they have removed Wednesday why ?

Fake promises and misbehaving by staffs

I was thrilled to join gym nation. I visit burjuman center to know more about gym nation. A staff assist me to explain about the gym. I saw all the area and equipments and I was impressed. But my concern was the assistance of training in the gym. I was not able to take a personal training. So I asked him about that. He told me no need of any personal trainer there. Because they're providing all training and assistance in 1 year membership. Moreover he told me If there are any absence of trainer in any days this he can assist me to explain about the workouts and the equipments in those particular days. I repeat the same question to him about the training assistance. He said if I'm taking the membership at that time he can give me all and it's a limited offer. Only 4 seats left there. I'll get diet assistance also along with the training. After that I made the payment and I came to the gym the same night.

Then I met the trainer, and he said without PT I cannot do anything. Gym nation can provide only one session class that day. Rest of the days I have to do workouts by myself. And there are no general trainers in the gym nation. The trainers are another company. All they are taking PT only. As a beginner without guidance it's hard to move on and it's risky. So in this membership I'll get just an access to the gym.

I realized there was no trainer and he was lying. The only reason I joined there was because of getting guidance and assistance from gym nation trainers. He was saying they have numerous trainers on the floor. Nothing to worry like that. At that time also I asked if they required PT. He said no never.

Then I went to him. And asked about this. He told me the trainer is lying. He is not a part of the gym nation. Don't care what he's saying and his words. And he told me to wait for a moment. He will do the needful things. After a few moments he came back to me after a call with someone and told me the same thing that the trainer said. At the same moment he changed his words and he sent me gym rules which he did not send before. I asked my cash return if it's like this. Or he should stand in his words. At that time one of the supervisors told me to wait until the next day. He will hear both sides and he will do the necessary things.

So I went to my room without taking any classes or training from the gym side. I called this supervisor, he told me this is not a big issue. He will refund the amount. Told me to wait until that week. Because of the account management. And there were no updates in that week. Next week he told me they were waiting for the manager's approval and it was received from the manager. He approved the payment. So he assured me he will pay within that week. Maximum Friday or before that. I wait that week also. Then he didn't respond to me. Then the next week he's telling me I have to ask him. He is saying it's not in his hands. Then why are these people making fake promises and doing things like this. It's not only a matter of cash. It's a matter of my time, cheating, making me worry all these days.

So I didn't expect this kind of experience from the gym nation. Still it's like that only. There's no action taken by them. No responses. Not taking my calls. Many of my friends was waiting to join with me. Now I'm just letting know the gym nation how's going there. And we hope there will be an action from gym nation side. Waiting for your response.

Avoid at all costs!!

Signed up for a 3 month contract, and the salesperson told me before joining in person that after the 3 months I can cancel any time, no further commitments. I purposely asked about this as I knew I was leaving the country permanently in a few months.

I left the country after 2 months, obviously cancelled my bank cards and closed my bank accounts, and when I tried to cancel the gym membership even after having paid for the 3 full months they told told me first I would need to pay an extra month, and later another person called me, was extremely rude, and told me over the phone that I would need to pay for 2 months plus another 200 AED charge to be able to cancel, and that's with me already having left the country more than a month earlier. So basically I paid for 3 months, used it less than 2 months, then suddenly they wanted another 2 months plus 200 from someone who no longer lived in the UAE.

They kept citing terms and conditions although I insisted on what their salesperson told me when I explicitly asked him about cancellation and he clearly told me I pay for the 3 months and then there would be nothing else if I wanted out.

It's been around a year now and they keep sending emails with balances of around 5000 AED and threats of courts and travel bans 😅 makes people wonder if they are abiding by consumer protection rules, as in how can you continually charge membership fees, when in effect this membership and gym access is effectively blocked...?

Oh and despite this I anyway offered to pay them the one month notice after digging into their terms and conditions which they hide behind, even though the guy clearly said after the end of the 3 month contract I'm free to cancel, but they didn't want and continued with their inflated figures and threats..

Basically they give you the best experience before joining, tell you what you want to hear, then suddenly it's "you voluntarily agreed to the terms and conditions".. NO I'm sorry but life doesn't work that way, verbal trust is a very important factor, especially for gym memberships lol, this isn't a property purchase or a mission to go to the moon..

I've been to countless gyms in the UAE and elsewhere in the world, it was always pay for your membership and that's it, never have I even thought of encountering something like this...

They also tried random charges on my cancelled card multiple times of amounts that don't reflect any agreed fees.

In summary, PLEASE AVOID and don't get attracted to their offers and low memberships! Otherwise you may find yourself constantly harrassed for years by them or their poorly rated collection agencies, hundreds if not thousands of reviews here and on google are witness to that.

Now I'm sure they will reply with their standard copy pasted message about "the terms and conditions were clearly explained upon joining" (which they were not and I was told the opposite) and to contact them on their webform, however this is useless and nobody responds when you raise any complaint on their website.

Misleading sales tactics and poor customer handling

I signed up at the GymNation Bur Dubai branch, and while the facility itself is decent and well-equipped, the way memberships are sold is highly questionable.

I was pushed to sign up through an online link by a staff member who failed to clearly disclose key terms—especially the long-term commitment and cancellation conditions—despite me asking directly. The focus was entirely on the promotional price, with critical details either glossed over or avoided.

When I attempted to cancel within what should reasonably qualify under their own stated terms, the response shifted to technicalities and inconsistent explanations. Instead of addressing the issue transparently, it felt like the goal was simply to block the refund using interpretations that are not clearly reflected in their own published policy.

To make matters worse, the front desk/sales handling was either poorly trained or deliberately evasive. Basic questions were not answered clearly, and important information was only revealed after the fact.

This creates the impression of a business model designed to lock customers into agreements they don’t fully understand at the time of signup.

Proceed with extreme caution. Read every detail yourself ; do not rely on what staff tell you.

I would have given negative star if there is any option,

They scam you with the contract, they will tell the contract is for given period, and they will take money even after the period

If the payment is delayed, their collection goons will call you saying they are customer support, these people are very rude and shouting, having no manners and logic, zero professionalism, infact zero knowledge on how to talk with customers ,

Their membership is kind of a trap, make sure you discuss with them before joining

Mindblowing gym

Excellent experience I must say..........To be frank, I am lost when it comes to words to explain about Gymnation as it has crossed my level of expectations before joining.
Gymnation is undoubtedly the best gym in the UAE.

Poor Communication, Broken Promises & Mismanaged Referrals

I’ve had a very disappointing experience with GymNation.

From the start, I requested a simple change to my billing date due to a change in circumstances. Despite following up consistently for over 7 months, this was never properly addressed. Instead, I was put in a position where I had to rely on staff every time I wanted to work out.

The communication has been some of the worst I’ve experienced. At one point, I requested to freeze my account, which was rejected the night before my due date. GymNation then immediately attempted to charge both my account and my wife’s account. It took 2 weeks for anyone to respond and resolve the issue.

What’s even more concerning is the referral situation. I was promised a full year of membership if I referred 5 members. I referred 8, yet my account manager stopped responding for months. When they finally got back in touch, they couldn’t even locate one of my referrals in their system. This raises serious concerns about how referrals are tracked and managed.

Overall, the lack of accountability, poor communication, and failure to honor commitments has made this a frustrating experience. Unless this is resolved properly, I will be cancelling my membership along with all members associated with me.
