If it was possible I'd give them 0, I joined the MegaMall branch just 4 days ago but since then am moving back to UK for rest and be with famiky due back injury so am unable to make use of the Gym.

They have no cooling off period, so provided them my flight tickets, they then wanted a visa cancellation paper.

Then wanted a doctor's letter for my injury, due to time constraints and flying tomorrow I maamged to get a last minute appointment and my prescription which shows my back issues and medication not that was also not good enough.

Their customer service responses are canned copy and paste messages and they have no real customer service or empathy for their customers.

I would not recommend anyone joining them after jy experience.

It was easier for me to cancel my UK membership by providing flight tickets then this with all the documents they want just to cancel a membership.

Its a joke.

Response to gymnation response, your reply is a lie I have not been able to cancel my membership at all even with your apparent membership cooling off period. I have proof in form of email for this.

I have been trying to cancel my gym membership due to my pregnancy. It has been very difficult to find someone to contact regarding this matter. When I finally reached out, I was assured that my membership would be canceled.

However, I have noticed that payments are still being withdrawn from my account. This is unauthorized and not legal, as I have already requested cancellation.

Please address this issue immediately and confirm the cancellation of my membership to avoid any further charges. I expect a prompt resolution.

I’ve had my GymNation membership since may 2024 and completed over a year with their mirdiff branch before I decided to cancel the membership in June 2025.
When I was at the branch I requested they cancel the membership through the reception and was told that it will be cancelled from the following month (July). But my July payment was processed but declined multiple times coz I’ve blocked them ,just incase an issue like this happened . After I got a call from a person called max saying there was no cancellation request that was entered in the system and to further pay the months fees along and it will be cancelled. As rude as he was I did not accept it as I was promised that were would be no extra charges as they were informed mid June. How ever after seeing that there is no one processing the cancellation and I later found out that cancellations are done online,the July payment was made just to get a text back from them to make the August payment before cancellation as the request was placed online two days ago. No one, either max or muhammed from the reception have made an attempt to cancel the request. Further if I do not make a payment there will be a collections team who will be in touch with me. I do not see why cancelling a gym membership is so difficult and why I need to make a two month payment for free without using their facilities just to cancel the plan .

In all honesty every time anyone has been in contact they have been extremely rude and unprofessional. Just a heads up to anyone who’s thinking of getting a membership there.

I joined GymNation just before Ramadan but only managed to visit a few days after Ramadan started. Shortly after, I informed Mr. Gabriel, one of their staff members, that I wanted to cancel my membership, giving the required one-month notice along with the advance payment as per their policy.

I even informed them again during my vacation to India, requesting cancellation. However, despite repeated requests, GymNation has not responded or processed my cancellation. Every month, they continue to deduct money from my account without any confirmation or reply.

I feel disappointed, especially for the five friends who joined based on my recommendation. My overall experience with GymNation has been very negative — the gym facilities are often overcrowded, the equipment is outdated, and classes get canceled without any prior notice.

I strongly advise everyone to be cautious about GymNation. In my opinion, the authorities in Dubai should look into their business practices and consider taking appropriate actions.

Horrible Experience with this Gym.
Be careful to do membership with them that they will try to sell it in all ways offering very competitive prices to lock you in. They say you can cancel with one month pre notice but they put terms that only pops up when you try to cancel asking for absurd documents, very sensitive documents like regency contract, termination letter from your job , or visa cancellation and a one way ticket to any country overseas and if you refuse they reject your cancellation request and keep debiting your card till the end of the contract.
I had a car accident and living away from the Gym I could nt take a taxi every day paying at least 160 dhs per day to go to the gym. They said they replied to my cancellation request by email and this email never reached my inbox and they kept debiting my card for 6 months for two memberships mine and my son’s and I had to finally go there and only because I changed my bank and and credit card got cancelled they couldn’t debit me but they kept threatening me with a fine and sending many msgs and emails to me and to my son’s. Went there and they were really rude launching me to each orher’s then they said you have to pay this month then we will consider your cancellation request and the account manager was so rude . My next step if they carry on is to report them to the police . And I have all the proofs that I sent many cancellation requests to which I never received any answer. Also the rude responses of the account manager.
Customer service is horrible and they are just a cash machine gym .
Paid 8 months membership for 2 persons for 3 accesses to the gym . It’s really shameful. And absolutely NEVER AGAIN.

For a cheap gym that has most things you need I gave an extra star. But that is it.

This is why you shouldn't go there:
1. The place is over subscribed. Peak hours are a nightmare.
2. They lock you into a subscription that is hard to get out. You can't just cancel. Customer service is exactly what you would expect with these dodgy gyms... Non existing. You pretty much chatting to ChatGPT.

I was okay with the terms and conditions until my recent experience. My contract finished and instead of cancelling the monthly payments they kept taking the amount out. Even though I moved and wasn't using the gym. Then when I got through to them, they had to take the two months out that I had blocked on my credit card, plus a 200 AED overdue payment fee just to cancel that account. I was then ghosted from reception when I asked for an explanation.

This gym is just after one thing... your money.

Too much rush – it’s like a fish market in the evenings and you have to be in queue to use machines… And the cancellation policy is hideous. They’re asking for Ejari or letter from employer if i want to cancel my membership…

I have contacted the support, and now they want me to pay the whole 1 year amount and cancel my membership… moreover, the guy in email support was acting so bossy and unprofessional.

The service is fine until you need to cancel your membership. During my 12-month contract, they increased the fee in January. I emailed them about this and apparently they have a 5% increase at the start of every year - something they did not disclose during signing.
Moreover, a 12-month gym membership contract should be at fixed rate.

With regard to cancellation, before singing, they will inform you that you can terminate the membership due to relocation but they will not discuss the full condition so please beware. Per their cancellation condition: “This agreement can be cancelled in the event that your new permanent address is 30km away from any GymNation gym, either the site you originally signed up for or any other GymNation site.”

Having multiple branches across Dubai means you will never be 30km away from any of their branches, unless you move to a dessert. That means you cannot cancel your membership at all and you will be forced to pay.

The condition itself is unjustly crafted leaving customers with no choice but to be binded to a contract. The condition only favors Gymnation but no regard to its members and the real scenario that it’s very common to move to a new neighborhood in Dubai.

I wrote to them about this but they did not address the issue.

This kind of condition should not be allowed.

I had a very frustrating experience with GymNation. As per their terms and conditions, I informed the gym desk 30 days in advance and also submitted a cancellation request through their app. Despite this, my membership was not cancelled.

Even worse, they continued charging me via e-mandate, which kept failing due to insufficient funds—something they tried to process multiple times a day! This is not only unprofessional but feels like harassment.

I have permanently left Dubai and made it very clear that I won’t be using their services anymore, yet they are still attempting to withdraw payments. This is completely unethical, and I will not be paying a single dirham for a service I no longer use or have access to.

Would not recommend GymNation to anyone who values transparent and fair business practices.

Hi, I am really troubled by GymNation. I lost my job so I tried to cancel the gym contract with them. There is a clause like that. Firstly I gave them 5 docs confirming that yet they kept on insisting a letter from the company on their letterhead for the same. Then somehow they agreed to cancel the membership after 6th of April charges, now after I’ve been charged they are insisting on charging for the month of May before cancellation. I lost my job, I’m in India yet they are continuously harassing me. Pls advice what do I do as this is disturbing my mental health

Once you sign up, you're basically stuck for life. I lost my job and physically cannot afford the gym anymore. I need to focus on finding work and getting my life together — not stressing over gym fees. I emailed, called, and messaged them everywhere, with official documents proving I lost my job, and they still rejected my cancellation request.

Their response? “Your case doesn’t qualify as exceptional.”
EXCUSE ME??? I literally lost my job — what more do they want? A plane ticket out of the country??

I’ve seen tons of other people online go through the same crap — being ignored, charged extra, even having debt collectors chase them down. Just search Reddit or TripAdvisor and you’ll see it’s a pattern with them. People moving countries, losing jobs, or getting sick are still being billed.

GymNation doesn’t care about its members. They’ll happily trap you in a contract and drain your money, even if you’re going through real-life struggles. This isn’t a gym — it’s a money trap. STAY AWAY.

it's a scum😭, join at your own risk, my friend has been scummed 1750aed in one day, after that the next day they again tried to take 219 aed from her account but luckly it was insuffient. when we went to the gym to complain they told us to only contact the account manager, and when we did tge guy was so rude he told us to f'offand we can't do anything about it. join it you gonna regret it. someone to advice how we can get back my friend's money. the worst is that they don't have a head office you can approache, not even call center/ customer service you can contact in such cases, 🤦‍♀️ gym nation downtown i will never forgive you people.

The female staff present in the men gymnation has been very unfriendly and unhelpful. They were very rude over a minor inconvenience and didnot bother helping out. My experience here has been very unpleasant.

The worst gym in the entire world. GYMNATION are money leeching. I signed up to the gym when I was a tourist in Dubai and their receptionist put me on an annually subscription. How wicked! I contacted the team to cancel my subscription and they refused. I informed them that i wouldn’t be in the country and I even sent them my flight details and after 2 years I’m still being charged 200aed for my gym plan. I will never recommend this gym and I hope someone sues them for all the money they have fraudulently debited from their members account. I regret ever stepping in this gym
