Apparently they ‘save you money’ so…
Apparently they ‘save you money’ so they changed the Tarif to me then having payments for gas and electricity over double what I was paying before. When I questioned it, they wouldn’t change it back, leaving me having to contact my provider to get it sorted as it ‘apparently wasn’t their job’ avoid at all costs!!

Hi Rachel, thanks for sharing your experience, and we’re sorry it wasn’t what you expected. When you signed up to Nous you told us the size of your property, which we used to create an energy savings proposal based on the average usage. It sounds like this estimate was higher than your actual usage - but as you accepted the proposal and asked us to proceed with the switch before contacting us or uploading a bill, the tariff change was registered.
As we've mentioned, unfortunately we're not able to contact your provider and amend the payment amount on your behalf as they'll need to speak to the account holder. If you have any further questions, we’re happy to help.
I really like the simplicity of the app…
I really like the simplicity of the app and the way it uses AI to try to find the best deals. Unfortunately it didn’t find the best deal for me and ended up selecting a provider that would cost me more. So I had to cancel and go back to handling this type of thing myself in person.
But I think with a little more AI investment this could be an amazing tool to help this worth busy lives find the best contracts for utilities etc.
Great idea Nous just a little more work needed.

Hi Julia, thank you for sharing your experience - as a new company this is really useful in order to help us improve.
It sounds like the estimate of your energy usage that the savings proposal was based on was higher than your actual usage - but as we didn’t hear from you about the costs looking too high, we didn't have a chance to adjust it. The unit rates were lower on the tariff we switched you to, so it would have been a saving overall once your Direct Debit was set to the right amount. We always provide the full details of any potential switches via email and WhatsApp in advance, so you have time to review them.

Nous have been great they have managed to lower some of my bills which gives me that little extra money to last the month. Great service. Would definitely recommend.

Fairly straight forward process
Fairly straight forward process, we used it for an energy switch and so it tells you what you’re set to save but obviously the proof is in the pudding only over a time of seeing if you actually save that. A great feature is that we’ll be actively told when we’re out of contract so no trying to remember the timings or leaving it on the to do list to look at deals / do a switch ourselves!

I’m new to Nous but so far I’ve saved £288 per year on my energy without lifting a finger! they did all the work it was seamless, looking forward to making more savings while I’m sitting back having a cup of tea , highly recommended

£60 saved so easy
Nous found me a cheaper electricity rate with my current provider and sorted the switch for me so I didn’t have to do anything, they saved me £60 a year, well worth it! Also customer service is brilliant
