1 item was missing from my order so I sent an email and after nearly a week I had no response.

Ordered sweets
Ordered sweets, stated free delivery over £20.00 which the order was. Next thing I know is that I get a refund with no explanation on why my order was cancelled.
Due to this I would not recommend purchasing from this company.

Sweets didn’t arrive
I’ve waited to post this in hopes someone could respond to my urgent emails, and messages but that hasn’t happened and is well over the 24hr response time. So far I’m still waiting for my order, Ive had no emails or dispatched emails only more advertising. I’ve messaged on messenger, and emailed twice. It’s now too late so I’ve had to order elsewhere and now want a refund if someone can please look into this. It seems impossible to contact anyone.

Rapid delivery and good value for money!
Super fast delivery which was FREE because of the amount ordered. Each 140gram bag cost £1.00 and 20 bags attract an additional four bags given away for free. The total order (including free bags) was £24, which places the order in the free delivery category. My order was placed on Saturday, 19th July 2025, and delivery was received on Sunday, 20th July 2025.
It is a fair comment to say that I had expected to receive Jakemans throat and chest sweets because the web page link uses the Jakemans name and the illustration shows Jakemans sweets. Managing expectations is the responsibility of the vendor. I expect that there are some vendor obligations to the buyer which comprise legal implications. My opinion is that One Pound Sweets should not use Jakemans Sweets images nor should their web page tell the viewer that the link is to Jakemans sweets. The description should use the image of the actual product being sold and the text should indicate that they are a substitute sweet for Jakemans. I would not be unhappy to have received the product sent to me on that basis.
The product received is broadly similar to Jakemans. It possibly does not stay in the mouth as long if just sucked and it may be missing the menthol, eucalyptus and aniseed flavours of Jakemans (these flavours are not listed as ingredients). I estimate that it represents about 60% of the Jakemans experience. The 3.36kg received for £20 and free delivery represents good value. As a standby, I think it is a creditable substitute. I would prefer to buy the original Jakemans once they become more widely available again. Other people may be just as happy with either product.
Let Down Before My Wedding
I never received a confirmation email, delivery update, or any communication regarding my order — only automated marketing emails, which makes the lack of actual service communication even more frustrating.
Only half of my order arrived in time for my wedding party on Saturday 12th July, with no explanation or delivery note to clarify what was missing or whether the rest would arrive. I contacted customer service twice after the delivery, well in advance of the Wedding party and never received a response.
It was also really frustrating that there was no phone number available to speak to someone directly — especially given the time-sensitive nature of the order.
To top it off, the quality of the sweets that did arrive wasn’t great either.
Overall, a disappointing experience at a time that should have been special. I wouldn’t use this company again or recommend it based on the poor service and lack of communication.
Short delivered and left in the rain!
1st time using, thought looked really good value until I received my package, left out in the rain on a day of a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms, box socked that much it tore when picked up.
Not only was outside packaging wet so was the packaging of the products I ordered for a sweet buffet at a wedding! Not the only issue, also had products missing .......
Sent pictures of delivery but company not interested. Can't unwrap sweets to give out so now left with products unfit.
Offered a refund for missing products - still to receive this.

Terrible customer service, package was repeatedly attempted to be delivered when we were not in and one pound sweets refused to deliver or help, rude and unhelpful over email.
Package finally arrived and most of the crisps are popped with bags broken to being not properly packed.
Would never use again, terrible service and better to pay more and get what you want.

If you would have helped it wouldn't have been moved as many times, also if you had packed correctly it wouldn't have been damaged, the other crisps that were not loose were not damaged. Terrible service, would highly recommend to anyone NEVER to use your shop.

First and last time as a customer
Ordered last Wednesday (two boxes of snaps crisps) Promised delivery within 2-4 working days, the last day of which is today. Strongly worded email sent yesterday as so far no order updates, no tracking info, yet bombarding me with stupid marketing emails. How about less of those and more emails updating me on order status? First and last time being a customer. If I don't get a reply by close of business tomorrow (Wednesday) then I'm logging a dispute with PayPal
IN RESPONSE TO REPLY FROM ONE POUND SWEETS - I haven't received a tracking email lol! That's the point, you haven't sent one, nor any useful update on my order at all.

Used to order a selection of single packs of crisps to be able to get a variety of types/flavours, but disappointed to see that you are phasing single bags out and just offering full boxes.
