Renewal of said policy had a catch on …

Renewal of said policy had a catch on premium. As a new customer I received a discount on aware of it at the time then renewed my policy and premium went up even though I pay a year ahead one time payment and no discount applied agent apologized after I called and said there's nothing they can do so highly disappointed in there response on premium increase even though my bike value decreased.

There may be some additional discounts available in the next year or so that could help at your next renewal. Beyond fair rates. Extremely easy to contact an actual human. And easy to make policy renewal payments in minutes, right over the phone.

Average, just average in every way.

easy company to deal with for the most part. I like that they are locally based (& have a local office)
Staff could use a little more motorcycle knowledge.
And my biggest gripe, was when i still rode sportbikes, they cancelled me mid policy, because of a speeding ticket. Way to support the biker community.
But as a business they are decent.just decent.
If progressive or geico had better rates , id leave.

1st off thats very invasive. Nobody asked you to check in to my policy.
how did you get my info? My full name is NOT posted above.
2nd, i am in my 40's i have been riding motorcycles for more than 20 years . How far did you check back, if you did indeed have my correct info.
I assure you i was cancelled and upset. I had insurance for a few years with another major company. I only came back , because my family all uses rider, so it is simpler.

We are not seeing a cancellation on any policy in our current system dating back to 2006. What most likely occurred was an underwriting issue was discovered during the first month of your policy term and it was cancelled due to too many tickets during a 3 year period for your age and type of bike. Customer satisfaction is very important to us and we sorry if you feel you have not been provided with the level of care you expected when contacting us. We have many enhancements in the works to improve the customer experience. If in the future you contact us and you feel you are not provided with excellent customer service, we encourage you to email feedback@rider.com and let us know what could have been done better. Again thank you for choosing Rider all these years and we hope we have the opportunity to serve you for years to come!

Reply to updated post: Please understand that Trustpilot is not responding to your review or looking into your policy. Just as Rider invited you to review us, we are also the ones responding to you. The email you were sent was linked to you policy number. Although no one publically can see it, Rider is able to so we can properly look into to any issues. We are by no means disputing that your had a policy in the past that was cancelled, however we were only able to look back as far as the one started in 2006. We are very glad that you chose to come back to Rider after having a bad experience and we hoping that you will allow to continue to be your motorcycle insurance provider. If you would like us to contact you to discuss this further, we will be happy to do so. We're sorry for the misunderstanding.

Company needs a serious overhaul....

Unable to do anything with your policy online such as add a bike or change coverages. Took two days and many phone calls to even get a bike added to my policy, ridiculous. Payment date is clearly listed for your policy however if it is due on the 20th you better pay it on the 18th as you apparently are "Unable to pay on your due date." Again, ridiculous. If your payment due date is the 20th then you should be able to pay on that date. Calling them to ask anything is irritating as you are met with rude people whom do not seem to want to be bothered with answering the phone let alone your questions. We have had our policy for years, never had a claim or ticket or anything yet our policy goes up every year, you ask why you get the answer of "Well our costs went up so that means yours do." Really? Nice, it is cheap insurance, well was before they raised the rates again this year, and we are searching for a new insurance company, ya know, one that actually wants to deal with their policy holders.

Rider Insurance ROCKS!!

I have insured many BMW motorcycles through the years with Rider and have been extremely satisfied with the coverage, service and processing of claims. It is my hope that Rider remain unchanged with regard to the way they have been and are currently cunmducting business and I will remain a loyal customer.
