Back on Grasshopper!
We previously used Grasshopper and migrated to another service when we took on a new office. That experience was not positive and we recently made the decision to terminate the other service and go back to the Grasshopper platform. It is a really good fit for our professional services related business with our folks always on the go!

It is hard to appreciate when it is hard to share your account and lines with your time unless you let them have access to admin logins.
And I still can’t figure out how to allow my sales team to use a line without logging in as admin .

No Customer Service, Scam Practices
I gave them months to try and get the SMS verified. (You cannot text out without this) They strung me along, I paid fees while they gave vague suggestions, I spent days on the phone waiting, on hold, redoing suggestions, while STUCK on an annual plan. I ended up having to leave telling them to cancel and refund me, they told me they couldn't refund $500 even though I was only a few days past the renewal date. (I was a customer the previous years, I had only experienced okay customer service at best, bad connections were often an occurence). They strung me along, then waited until I couldn't port out quick enough, and then refuse to refund money AT ALL. It is a part of their policy they are trying to tell me ZERO REFUNDS.

ZERO STARS!! Horrible is an understatement!!! Customer Service is poor. I wish I had come to Trustpilot 1st. I signed a annual contract and then found out that their system doesn't work with my mobile carrier. This was 10 min after I signed up. I tested to see if I received a call to my phone and how it would display. We'll I didnt receive the call and the call went to a generic voicemail. When I called to complain and talk to support, they said they could fix it where I received the call but wouldn't know if it was a personal or business call. I asked for a refund and they said all they could do is cancel the auto renew next year. So I disputed with my credit card. They suck and I think only 2 people work there

Extremely Disappointed with Grasshopper
I signed up for Grasshopper on May 15 and was charged $25.81 CAD immediately. Just two days later, on May 17, my account was suspended by Grasshopper without warning or explanation.
I’ve tried reaching out to their support team — no response for over 60 minutes. It’s incredibly frustrating that they can take your money, cancel the service without your consent, and then disappear when you try to get help.
This is not how a customer-focused business should operate.
Avoid this service. There are better, more transparent alternatives out there.

When using the app on my mobile phone
When using the app on my mobile phone, if I put a caller on hold to answer another call, the app loudly and continuously repeats, "Your caller is now on hold. To return to the call...." I can't hear the new caller over the recording, and I can't see which caller is active because the app doesn't minimize the first caller on the screen. Also recently on the desktop app, either I can't hear the caller or they can't hear me. Grasshopper is about to lose my business.

False Advertising. Unlimited Extensions means 7 Extensions.
Signed up two days ago for my small business. Enrolled in the Small Business plan with "unlimited extensions". While spending those 2 days trying to set up for my needs I found out that it is not "unlimited extensions", but rather only 7 Department Extensions. I need 11 departments. So I called to cancel. They have a no-refund policy, but broke with that to give me a refund less 33% of what I paid. So I had to pay 33% to find out that unlimited means only 7. I feel like had they been honest in advertising upfront it would have saved me time, effort and money. Glad I did not pay for the year upfront. Should always read reviews first.

Terrible customer service
I received an email from Grasshopper saying that I needed to "right size" my plan because I had too many extensions. So I changed to a small business plan. However after doing the math I realized that it is less expensive to keep the solo plan for 10 extensions, and tried to switch back. Unfortunately I have already received an invoice for hundreds of $ more than my current plan. I spoke with customer service who advised that nothing can be done to change back my mistake and that no credit is possible and I am stuck with the higher price for a year. "Read the terms and conditions that you signed" was the main response. I find this absurd and very poor customer service. There has to be a credit available or something else that can be done to keep me on a solo plan without charging for me for responding to their email which incorrectly advised me to change.
Update after emailing customer service, which was a difficult email to find: I received a “one time credit” to make me whole. Upgraded to 2 stars. Thank you

Terrible website
Terrible website. Hidden fees. Clunky app. If you want to cancel your service you must jump through so many hoops. They straight lie by saying sms included when you’re required to pay to use it.

Barebones and cancellation is a nightmare
Rudimentary features that pales in comparison to its competitors. Its pricing for business is not competitive as well and even after you cancel they will charge you (My business has been charged twice since we cancelled and can barely get a hold of support).
DO NOT USE GRASSHOPPER. If you're looking for a phone system go anywhere but here.

Worst customer service!
One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. This company enrolled my account in automatic renewals without my consent, and canceling has been an absolute nightmare. I’ve had to dispute charges through my credit card provider just to get my money back. Attempts to escalate the issue were ignored, with no managers available to assist. Their lack of accountability is alarming, and based on other online reviews, my experience is not unique. I would strongly advise against doing business with this company. Don’t waste your time or money.

Grasshopper is an awesome platform!
Grasshopper has a great, simple, easy to use and navigate a business phone tree/system. I had been looking for something we can update ourselves when needed. It has lots of options and additions if needed. I have already told 2 other business friends about your system.

Absolute garbage customer service
Absolute garbage customer service. Wasted an incredible amount of time switching to this service and lost the ability to use my long-established business number.
First, I requested to port my Google voice number over, confirming that it would also be able to port back out of grasshopper if I didn't like the service. They said it was totally possible - this turned out to be a lie and I had to change my long-established business phone number on all flyers, websites, online listings, clients, etc. The porting request SLIPPED THROUGH THE CRACKS? So it was just not ported over for over a month. Once I had it ported, I was asked to jump through a 1000 hoop process to verify my business for texting which includes having to recode your website to include a texting opt-in disclaimer. NONE of this was explained beforehand during my multiple customer service calls about it.
After giving up and changing my number on everything, I called to cancel and receive a refund of the $330 I paid. They said No chance.
Scammy, unethical behavior. I cannot recommend this business in the slightest.

I was charged for setting up text…
I was charged for setting up text messaging, but there is no way to get authorized to use it despite updating privacy policy on website and jumping through all the necessary hoops to get this setup. They charge you and then decline the service. Constant robo calls, no refunds. I need text messaging to follow up with customers as a rental business. Do not fall for this service this has been an expensive, wasteful learning experience. Pay more for a real carrier.
