Great Service from a experience service technician.
On time and very knowledgeable. Fully checked and cleaned the air source heat exchanger and updated some of the heating performance curves to give better efficiency.

21 Degrees installed an 8kW air source heat pump in my mother's home. They had a good service to do the heat loss calculations and a really pragmatic approach to thinking about where to locate the heat pump. When it came to the installation the team were friendly and got the job done done with little mess. After a few hiccups after commissioning they got it all working and my mum is pleased with how it's all working.

However, throughout the process the communication has been poor: most emails were never answered. Their sales team quickly pick up the phone but if you have a question about the installation, when it is going to happen etc. you will be lucky to get a reply. In their defence, when there is a problem with the heating, they do respond quickly which is encouraging for ongoing service.

Importantly, and what has led to my score of 2, is that the paperwork has not been done and there has been no communication as to when it will be done. Really important documents such as the power company confirming it is ok to install the heat pump, the electrical safety certificate, and the warranty for works have not been provided. Without these documents it could be challenging to sell the house should she choose to in the future and we may need to retrospectively apply for them and pay for them (e.g. the electrical certificate) in order to ensure such problems don't happen. I have chased three times but they do not answer.

While their installation team worked well, their office function does not seem up to it and you should think carefully about using them - frustratingly paperwork does matter.

An excellent one stop shop for all our mechanical and plumbing services for our house build. Excellent advice, excellent service and fantastic onsite team. Particular shout out for Chris who is exceptional.

Most of us do this only once. But, from our experience, to get a great MVHR system (such as we ended with) you need V.Good design, specification and recommendations, Freddie @ 21 degrees (and others) provided all of the above.
Some things (niggles) could be improved but overall we end with an excellent system, pleasant environment, quiet & effective :-)
NOTE : We fitted all the specified rigid ducting ourselves - beware not for the feint hearted.

Over the past 12 years or so, 21° (or as it was previously called 'Green Building Store') has supplied us with a number of products. Our most recent project was the most ambitious. As part of a complete makeover of our house, our builder installed new windows and external doors throughout, as well as retrofitting an MVHR system, all supplied by 21°. He’d never installed MVHR before and 21° provided full technical and practical support. All the company’s products are of outstanding quality and perform to the highest specifications. Issues inevitably arise with building projects, but customer services will do their utmost to sort things out. We doubt you’d find better products or service elsewhere.

This company has professional technicians that are polite, helpful and knowledgeable. My installation was neat and tidy and the battery system is working very well

I can not fault this company. We have been deliberating installing solar panels for a long time but never found people who didn't feel like pure salesmen. Totally not the case here. They were up front with costs from the start and felt very trustworthy. The team Matt & Dave were excellent in their pre installation assesments. The installation went smoothly with very little disturbance. The work has been done to a very high standard. This was a big installation with a lot of wiring - It has all been neatly done and buildings left immaculate. Thank you. I would totally recommend this business.

Have delt with the company before and there service has always been first class and it has again they do what they say when promised can't fault them.

Excellent solar experience!
The 21 Degrees team really impressed me - I felt the surveyor really listened to what I was looking for, made some excellent suggestions and at no point did I feel pressured to sign up with 21 Degrees (unlike with other providers who gave me quotes). The installation team were super professional, consulted me every step of the way to make sure I was happy with how things were being done, and completed their work to a very high standard. I think they are excellent.

Superb quality triple glazing installed by seasoned experts who understand airtightness and how to minimise cold bridges.

Had a few hiccups and delays during installation but was their first installation in a bungalow roof space. Design was spot on and performance excellent with savings made against previous gas system. Was also compensated with a first service free which was expertly executed. Would recommend.......and was the cheapest quote by far.

An excellent experience from quote to installation. They installed a solar installation on my property in York and even though I had to move the installation date at short notice, due to the roofers running behind schedule, they were able to accommodate my request. We had a couple of issues but these were dealt with professionally and in a timely manner. The installation team were very professional and ensured everything was operational and to my satisfaction before leaving. I am using their Huddersfield office for a MVHR system and whilst we are only at the design stage at the moment the service received has also been excellent. I would definitely recommend this company in the future

Do not touch this company. Installed new air source heat pumps and system for our new build home. Have had appalling service throughout, they send a different engineer each time who don’t know what the previous guy has done. We have moved in and still don’t have heating. The service is taking so long and we have been offered no compensation. We have had leaks, errors and no end of problems with it. I am fed up of taking days off work to let their engineers in to my home. This is a brand new system that they installed and they can’t even get it to work. It should have been completed months ago and I’m still having problems and work ongoing.
Take my advice - do not touch them with a barge pole.

They were easy to work with and flexible which is really helpful when you have a 60's building filled with community groups every day of the week from 9am to 10pm. The odd frustration in a 70k project is to be expected and more than balanced by satisfying some changes that we needed. I'd choose them again.

From start to finish, 21 Degrees delivered a truly exceptional service for the installation of our solar, battery, and EV charging system.

Pre-Installation: 21 Degrees were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful during the initial site survey. 21 Degrees took the time to understand my specific needs and designed a system that perfectly matched them. I wanted a robust setup capable of powering our home independently as we both work from home, with any surplus energy diverted to the hot water tank and EV charging. Matt recommended a 10-panel, 4.4kWp solar array (south-west facing roof), a Tesla Powerwall 3 (which is a combined 13.5kW battery and 11kWh inverter), a Zappi EV charger point, and an Eddi solar diverter. This configuration has proven to be incredibly powerful, allowing us to run both ovens, an induction hob, and the rest of my house without relying on the grid during peak times! The quote was clear, detailed, and provided promptly. 21 Degrees also took care of the DNO application, which was approved in a remarkably quick two days, simplifying the process immensely.

Installation: The installation itself was flawless. The scaffolders arrived on schedule, were clean and tidy, and handled both installation and removal with professionalism. The team did a superb job on the installation. They were meticulous and even worked with us to route the cables through a void in the house, maintaining a clean and aesthetically pleasing installation. Working with limited garage space, 21 Degrees created a neat and functional setup that looks fantastic. The Powerwall and Gateway installation took two days, with the Zappi and Eddi completed on the third, and I was kept in the loop with every aspect before proceeding. 21 Degrees patiently guided me through setting up the two ecosystems via mobile apps, demonstrating how to effectively monitor and manage the systems. During final sign-off I was provided with valuable insights on optimising the system for maximum efficiency. 21 Degrees expertise and willingness to explain everything was greatly appreciated.

Post-Installation: All necessary paperwork and handover documentation were provided promptly after sign-off. I received all the required certificates (MCS, G99, etc.) to apply for an export tariff, whilst ensuring compliance with building regulations.

Summary: I am genuinely amazed at the speed and efficiency of 21 Degrees. The entire process, from initial consultation to final installation, was completed in just 21 days! Their communication was excellent, keeping me informed every step of the way. The installation team’s dedication and pride in their work were evident. I was also delighted to support a local company. Their quote was the most competitive among several local and national providers, and there was no pressure to make a sale. I wholeheartedly recommend 21 Degrees to anyone considering solar, battery, or EV charging installations. They are a truly exceptional company.

Savings: 4 months post installation the savings have far exceeded expectations, our combined home energy use, heating the hot water tank, and EV charging (travelling 3,984 miles, all charged from home) has come to a grand total of £11! saving us £1,455 vs our old, standard tariff and ICE car. We have generated 2,417kWh in solar, Imported 4,029kWh from the grid during off-peak rates @ a cost of £288 and exported 1,848kWh, generating an income of £277 netting out at £11. Incredible!

A fantastic company who couldn't be more helpful. I had a range of questions about airtightness and I was given all the help I needed (and more) to help make a decision on what products to buy. Will be a returning customer for sure.

They were off to a good start because both my brothers had used them. I got a couple of quotes and they were about right.

Everything happened as they said it would from Scaffolders, to fitting the panels, Battery and then the sparky doing his thing. Good set of blokes who didn't need too much Tea:) Talked through everything and now I'm saving a fortune and making money off my export. Set up looks good and neighbours are asking for their number - I have no hesitation recommending them.

Very professional. They do what they say, when the say they will do it. They designed and certified our Mechanical Ventilation System which is extremely quiet, extremely well balanced and only uses 25 W to run. Extremely happy to work with them.
