I've been using 4dev for four or five months. The first months were mostly fine, but this month completely changed my opinion of this company. I believe every business can make mistakes, but what matters is how they handle them, and that's exactly where 4dev failed completely

For the past 10 days I haven't been able to access my contractor payment. First I found out that 4dev had stopped supporting transfers to the bank where my business account was held, only after I had already submitted the payment request - no advance notice whatsoever. So I had to urgently open an account at another bank to get my money. Then I waited three business days plus a weekend for the transfer to happen. After that I found out I had made a mistake in the SWIFT code - that part was my fault, and I fully accept it. What I don't accept is that it took them about five calendar days to identify such a basic issue instead of validating the payment details as soon as they received them. After I submitted the correct info, it's now been more than three business days, and the payment is still "Waiting for approval".

The biggest disappointment wasn't the original mistake, it was the way the whole situation was handled. Support replied to my messages reasonably quickly, but nothing actually moved forward. I have to keep chasing updates while my payment remains stuck - fast replies don't mean much if no one is actually solving the problem. This experience made me question whether 4dev is trustworthy enough to handle money. It feels like they either don't have proper procedures for handling non-standard payment issues, or they simply don't follow them. Either way, that's not what I expect from a financial service, and I can't recommend trusting them with your hard earned bucks

Pros: Global contractor payments are always a headache, especially when you're working with people across Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. 4 dev made that part much easier for us to manage.
The onboarding process does not drag on, which is a big plus when you need someone ti start right away. The pricing is also clear: the total on the invoice matches what we expect, without the kind of the exchange-rate surprises or random processing fees we had run into elsewhere.

Cons: I would still like to see a more flexible reporting system. Right now, exporting data for customer internal analytics still means doing some manual filtering in spreadsheet software, which is a bit tedious.

Overall experience: it solved out main bottleneck. Payments have been consistently fast for us, the legal setup gave our legal team enough clarity, and the whole thing runs quietly in the background. Which, honestly, is exactly you want from a toll like this.

been using this for ~ 14 months with contractors across Poland, Georgia and Kazakhstan. writing this because someone in a founder Slack asked if it was actually worth it.
short answer: yes. especially if you're early stage and headcount moves up and down a lot.
longer answer: we tried Deel first. the subscription didn't scale down when we had a quiet month, and paying for 20 seats when 8 people were active just because that was our "plan" felt wrong. 4 dev charges per payout. show month, low cost. simple as that.
the other thing that mattered: our contractor in Kazakhstan went through onboarding without issues. I was expecting complications, honestly. there weren't any.
one real criticism: when a contractor is waiting for verification, it's not obvious which step they're stuck on. we had a few people message us asking what was happening. feels like an easy fix, but it hasn't happened yet.
anyway. does what it says🙌

Support team is super slow.
I have applied for a name change in order to connect my withdrawal bank account but the support team is just not responding.
At first, they sent me to an AI bot which mentioned my application will be approved by 5-10 minutes which was totally wrong, the next day and it was still the same.
When i asked to be connected to a human operator, they said i will be contacted under 5 minutes which was also false.
My problem is still not solved at the moment and I am still waiting for a reply. Anxiously...
I do hope 4dev can improve their customer service speed and actually give an accurate expected time range.

I'm a freelancer illustrator. One of my clients started paying me through this platform about eight months ago. I did not have strong feelings about it going in. Verification took three days, which I expected. After that, I honestly kinda forgot it was something I had to manage: payment show up, I check the amount, there's a document in my account.
The moment I actually noticed it was working well was when my tax advisor looked at the payment records and told me it was the first time she'd seen documentation from an international client that she could use directly.
She said that. To me. After years of me handing her a mess of PDF screenshots and email threads.

I have the opportunity to use 4dev to receive my payments. This is a great platform for freelancers who want to receive their payments easily with one click and less or no commission fees. I have to mention that withdrawals to bank account are totally free. Everything is made to make your life easier.
Also I have to express my gratitude to Support team for their prompt replies. They are really fast and helpful. Recently, I had an issue with one of my transactions, team was found really helpful in solving my issue. They did their best and I appreciate the approach they have toward every customer.
I definitely recommend this platform for freelancers working from anywhere in the world.

It is a meticulous process to pay international contractors all over the world: bank differences, legal restrictions, currencies, fees, etc. But 4Dev team made me feel supported and not alone against all the bureaucracy of 9 rounds of hell-a process. Позиционируют себя как платформа для фрилансеров, при этом требуют документы о месте проживания от людей, которые буквально фрилансеры и не имеют постоянного места проживания.
При этом им не нужна твоя прописка (как всем адекватным фрилансерским платформам), им нужна "квитанция за интернет". Конечно, я же на съемной квартире первое что делаю это меняю владельцу интернет на свое имя. Зависло у этих ублюдков 519 долларов и я не могу их вывести никак.

Выдатная платформа. Калі будзе свая арганізацыя, то ведаю да каго прыйсьці, бо ў сучаснасьці цяжка знайсьці каму можна давераць. Лёгка грошы выводзяцца ці на картку ці на крыпта гаманец. Прыемна, што можно адмовіць абмен ці нейкую аперацыю на платформе, калі выпадкова памыліўся.

Great experience and ease of use compared to most other services I tried (including Deel, etc.). Customer care is top-notch. More importantly, my contractors are also consistently happy with 4dev. Been using the service since October 2025, definitely recommend.

I've been using 4dev.com for almost 3 months now, and it's always a smooth experience. The KYC verification is easy if you read instructions in the Help Center. Withdrawals always take only one business day.

So far they ve confirmed they received my transfer BUT its been almost a week they ve been requesting some weird stuff i cannot provide the way they want. The result - i cannot pay anyone, the money are effectively blocked.

My company transferred me money for 3 months, but now it seems, that they should look for different provider. 4dev told me, that my legal entity did not pass their compliance, but did not provide any reasons. They suggested I should transfer money to my personal account, but I can't really pay taxes through this method.
Don't use 4dev, because not only they have high commissions and bad currency transfer rates, they also can just refuse to transfer your money

Got my payments two times as a freelancer so far and finally can confirm that service is legit. Everything works fine and smooth, KYC took just a few min or smth like that
