High prices and terrible service from Greystar..

Worth a read before you decide to move here.

I made the mistake of moving in a month ago and need to share my experience with prospective tenants. Will not call out the leasing staff by names, but this is entirely the wrong company to be leasing this new building. My issues started literally after signing in to move here with my leasing agent. I sent numerous emails to her and not a single one was answered to the point I wasn't even sure if I was moving in or not. Then called twice and didn't even get a call back until the day before to confirm what time I would be here to move in. So, there was a 2 week period of no communication from this leasing staff. They're just rushing in people to fill the building fast. Was told 1 month free was only if you moved in June, but it's still going.

Was unaware the parking garage was shared with the church so the first 2 levels of the garage are not for tenants and I lucked out getting the basement level, the lowest level B5, in the garage for my 2 bedroom unit that cost more than most of the building. Asked to move up to a higher level and told it's not fair. Then again I've asked about getting a second parking spot and those emails are also still unanswered. Was told by someone in the building they were told to park on the street if they didn't like their spot. The building has 20 or so units that are low income and they park higher than I'm allowed. Also had my first run in with some of those tenants over the weekend and really changed the atmosphere of the building. I'm paying too much to live here and you will too.

There is no concierge at all, there's not even a desk person. Which makes me jealous every morning I walk past The Park building and see someone always there. I've never lived in a building with this high rent that was lacking so much. Now here's the best part about the "Package Concierge" and the main reason I'm finally writing about my experience. I had to drive to the post office to pick up my packages because the leasing staff turned them away just this past Friday and then also again on Saturday. I got berated at the post office for the way the leasing staff is treating the USPS. Leasing staff wouldn't let them leave packages in the mail room and then wouldn't let them in the package room. What? You also pay $20 to use this "Package Concierge" which is just a tablet and USPS said this is the only building in the area they're having problems with. At the post office they told me they were called back to come on Saturday to drop everything off, but the leasing staff just ignored them the entire time they were here. I emailed the leasing staff yesterday and got no response so enough is enough.

Now problems with my unit and the building before/after moving in. I was told the ceiling's were 9ft, but my entry way and hallway barely comes out to 7 1/2" and the living room is just about 8ft. My master bathroom ceiling height is even lower. I almost had to return my Article couch because I couldn't get it around my entryway due to height and being on a corner. Made the mistake of signing before even visiting, my fault. There is a MASSIVE homeless problem all around the building. I swear there is more homeless than non-homeless people here. I have the pleasure of seeing them every morning going to the bathroom from my unit on the street and church property, which you share grounds with. There are giant pillars in most of the units and some units even have shared balcony's. My master bathroom isn't even a shower and it's a tub with a shower curtain. My window shades are not automatic and you have to pull them up and down, window by window. They're also not black out at all and let plenty of light in. It is very loud hear and they should of used better windows. Greystar really seemed to cheap out here. They're complaining about dogs using the grass around the building while this place bills itself as pet friendly. So, just put turf in?

This building is over priced by at least 40% considering all of this. There are better run places in the area. Do your research please.
