53 Degrees North Avis 

I bought two mummy sleeping bags €90 each and they were so tight and uncomfortable I brought them back and 53 degrees north refused to do anything for me .there was no after care at all .
Bottom line no come back so don't spend your money there .

Ordered yesterday a down wash for puffer coat and was delivered today ALREADY.
EXCELLENT service.

I ordered online a pair of glasses and the box arrived without the gasses in.. They solved it out quickly but it was such a disappointment to receive an empty box...

Visited the Carrickmines store the other day and bought a new pair of running shoes with great help from James. I appreciated his patience and attentiveness finding what was right for me. A brilliant service and never felt like I was being oversold anything. I’ll definitely be back to buy my next pair. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks guys.

Was recently visiting the Carrickmines store as I needed a new jacket and boots. I cannot be grateful enough to James for helping choose a pair of boots, and Fiona for helping me with choosing a new North Face jacket that will stand the fickle nature of Irish weather and last for a long time. The two are a credit to their store, and I'll certainly be back again. Fantastic customer service!

Extremely poor customer service. Ordered a jacket few months ago and got an email to say it was dispatched. A few days later, I got a refund which only meant the jacket was actually not in stock! Gave them another chance and recently placed another order for a jacket. This one did arrive but had it's security tag still on it! I emailed their webstore but got no response. I had to bring it back to their Carrickmines store to return and did not even get an apology! They just laughed at the fact that someone had dispatched the jacket without removing the security tag! Will never be shopping here again. Lousy & rude customer service is an understatement...

An update: Despite a standard response to my review above, I have still not heard from their customer service team.

Zips in Jackets NOT cover by Warranty - Their "Company Policy" is illegal & contrary to your consumer rights.

Having bought a North Face (great Brand) jacket in October, the zip broke in December. When I returned to 53 Degrees North in Carrickmines, to get a new jacket, I was informed by 2 members of staff that the zips on any of their jackets are NOT Covered by warranty.

When I challenged this, all they would say was it is company policy. When I asked to see the policy displayed, they didn't have it and nor could they find it - not in print, on display or on their web site. The main reason for this is that it would be illegal to have such a policy - a zip is an integral part of a jacket.

I'm off the the Consumer Rights Commission and will not let this go as I feel they have cheated me.

Here is the Latest - GOT A REPLACEMENT JACKET & A SURPRISE - the people in 53 Degrees North, Carrickmines replaced my jacket AND have Barred me from their shop for defending my consumer rights. WOW - I would NEVER, EVER go back there anyway, but this is offensive!

My Advice to anyone - know your rights and defend them - do not accept this fobbing off "Company Policy" of your rights - if goods are faulty, you have significant rights.

From the Consumer Protection Agency - your contract is with the shop and not the manufacturer. If they want to send it back to the manufacturer, that is fine but you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.

I’ve always been a fan of 53 degrees north and have bought everything from boots to baselayers over the past few years. I recently purchased a Rab microlight alpine jacket as it was on a fantastic price - chose to shop with 53 degrees north as I had always been a fan previously. Very excited about this and waiting for it to come only for the order to be cancelled with no warning as the site didn’t switch to out of stock. No option to wait until this was back in stock or change to a different colour that was in stock (would’ve been happy to do either as it’s not needed for a few months yet).

Managed to get this jacket today though with Cotswolds in town, missed out on the sale and had to pay €60 more for it but it was actually in stock - very impressed with their service too so they’ll be my first choice going forward.

I ordered a €200 pair of waterproof Salomon hiking boots for an upcoming trip. Two days after placing that order, I rang 53 Degrees North to check the status of my order. Their customer support rep told me then and only then that they didn't have my boots in stock and that a refund would be issued. He didn't apologise, nor did the company issue me an email saying I would be refunded or that my item wasn't available. Basically, if I didn't call to check I would have been waiting another week on these boots without hearing anything. Poor form from a shop I once liked. I had planned to buy a lot of cold-weather gear from them, but definitely won't be shopping there ever again.

Staff said you can always bring items back!!
Appalling customer services.
Getting in and out of the car park is a nightmare.
I won’t be supporting this shop anymore, irish or not.

Twice this year I've ordered items online, 3 days later I got a refund saying items not In stock so I said I'd never use again, stupidly I tried again Monday ordering a pair of north face hiking boots, rang customer care who told me they were in stock so ordered, rang back yesterday to double check order went through to be told it did and boots were being processed, guess what?? Just received an email saying refund as item out of stock!!! more fool me for giving them another chance, never again

Having dealt with a pleasant girl on the first floor I went to pay for my goods at the till. The individual at the till obviously did not want to be there. Zero communication, zero interaction despite attempts by me to engage. The shopping experience through Covid is not easy but encountering staff who are rude and do not appreciate the business they are given means that I will not be entering 53 degrees North again.

Very good service. I got my order within two days.

After receiving a present of a northface jacket for christmas, it was very uncomfortable on arms and the cuffs started to ball after 1 short use. They are now saying the jacket is with out fault and nothing will be done to help me out. I am very disappointed in service provided. Beware of this shop

I ordered 2 jackets 1 was the right one the 2nd was a dark grey hoodie what I got was a light grey cheaper hoodie I will have to return to shop to change not asking for much for the 2 items to be correct

Bought 2 items. Unfortunately had to return one. The postage back cost 9 euro which you have to pay for yourself. But the refund came back 3 days later onto my credit card. Very pleased with hassle free transaction. Love the shop.

1 Item of 2 was on website as in stock but not available after order. That was frustrating.
