99 Bikes - Stanmore Avis 153

I visited 99 bikes at Stanmore yesterday while out on a ride. I didn't have a service booking at the workshop but a bicycle mechanic named Allan was available to see me straight away. I had gear changing issues while during my ride. What I thought the problem was, Allan clearly explained the root causes to me. He educated me of the issues and solutions. Allan also explained the complete rectification process and professionally answered all of my questions. Overall, my experience at the 99 bikes, Stanmore, workshop with Allan's assistance was very positive. Allan was professional, informative and reassuring. This is a perfect example of 100% CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you Allan 🙂

The bike shop is soo busy. I booked a service on 3 January for the earliest appointment which was the 19th of January. I got a reminder on the 18th. I went in at 0900 on the 19th and waited about an hour and 99 bikes never opened. There were 3 other people waiting too. It seems that they must have the technology to notify people scheduled for service when they choose not to open. This is stupefying bad customer service. I think Trustpilot should add the ability to give a "0" rating.

I have purchased 3 Bikes from 99.
They have Great Pricing, Great Service and go out if their way to help you with almost anything. Last Bikes I picked up I had to attach them to a Bike Carrier I borrowed of a mate. One of the guys from 99 helped me out with a stretch strap and a couple of old tubes to help tie them together so they wouldn't move. Bikes got home 100% without scratches and still attached to the carrier 😁 very happy.
Also they have great after sales service. Thank you guys, always a pleasure to come and see you.

Click and collect available after only three days.Impressive turnaround on an ordered item and it fit the ravemen light perfectly.

99 Bikes website was very easy to use compared to others. I couldn’t get to the shop but the scooter I wanted was in stock online and the steps to buy it were easy. When the scooter arrived after only a couple of days it was exactly what I had ordered. Thank you 99 Bikes.

Sent an email with a technical question - got a prompt, accurate reply. Ordered some accessories - arrived quickly- and do the job perfectly.

Recently purchased a new MTB bottom bracket - 99 bikes were cheapest for this part. On picking up the order, I enquired about which tools I'd need to install this and the assistant provided me the exact tools I'd need and again prices were very competitive.

Got a helmet for a good deal on sale, white ones are popular and often sold out elsewhere. click and collect was easy as. Friendly when I picked up in store. All good thanks

I ordered Pearl Izumi bib nicks for click & collect and they were ready to collect very quickly. I was greeted by a very friendly sales assistant as soon as I walked into the store who then went and retrieved my order. The product was as advertised and the quality and price are excellent. It's always a pleasure to shop at 99 Bikes.

I recently bought a wonderful bike from 99 Bikes. I also bought some accessories which included a basket. I’m very happy with the purchase but the back light doesn’t really fit onto my bike so I have to use plastic ties to keep in place. Not sure if the set recommended to me was correct. Also I purchased some online clothing but the sizes were extremely small even though I selected large womens. Not comparable to my other clothes sizes. I know they are meant to be right but these were definitely not the correct size. Apart from that the person who looked after us for the bike purchase was great and installed most of the equipment apart from the heavy bike lock I bought that I still have not installed as don’t know how. I would definitely buy bike equipment from them again but would only buy clothes in the shop not online because of sizing issue.

Rush job during pickup. No adjustment. The guy told me I would get a call/email for a free tune up. Never did.

Also there was some manufacuter defect on the frame and they didnt do anything about

I bought a set of brake pads from 99 Bikes for my Sons Otto E Bike which he purchased online, his rear brakes were wearing quickly. They cost $25 and the mechanic said if they didn't help, then to bring the bike in for a service.
They didn't help,so took the bike in for a service. After pushing said heavy bike up the flights of steep stairs, a now different mechanic, without even looking at the fault, stated
"We don't work on those bikes, company policy."
I thought the company policy would be more like that on the website,
"At 99 Bikes we are the experts in Electric Bikes and E-Bike Serving. We have all the tools and technology to service your Electric bike to the manufacturer’s standards."
Never going back.

Picked up a bike for my 3-year-old. We got the bike that was on special (member price) which was probably cheaper than buying it online.
We started looking quite late (3 days before the birthday). The staff at Stanmore went all out to ensure that the bike was ready before the birthday.
Highly recommended.

Nice to be able to walk into a shop again..

Even though a lot of items these days are commodity, having the chance to touch and see, to check for quality and expectations helps.

As well the store location was close by, pick-up is also the best option in terms of convenience.

This place is fantastic: 1. I arrive with an issue, 2. left solved.
My only nagging spanner is this actually domino into some other problem (they installed a stand but this now hold the wheel forced to break - I have break pad, hopefully I can resolve this myself)...

Otherwise, 99Bike might seem me again. Would also love to know how they spot me: I did not leave details :)

They know and breath bikes, helpful and fast (and for my problem - without cost), best service I could ask.

After ordering click & collect online, I received a notification within 30mins to advise my package was ready to be collected. When I arrived late that day, they had it on the counter ready for me to pick it up. Probably the quickest service I've received.

The product is great.My only issue is i was not contacted when it arrived.which was within a one to three day timeframe. I had to contact the store about 10 days after I ordered the product to see if it was there to pick up.No one notified me that it was ready.
