Abyss Aquatic Warehouse Avis 

I ordered 30 packs of small live LPbloodworms from abyss aquatics and I must say I have never been more disgusted and disappointed with a product as I was with these. The bloodworms were black and half dead when they arrived, the water had small hard bits of something in it and absolutely stunk to high heavens and because of the smell of them my fridge now stinks of the water as well even though the packets haven’t burst. I am absolutely disgusted by the product and the fact it took so long to receive the bloodworms as well. I would recommend to NEVER order bloodworms form ever again. If I could give less than one star then I would have.

I ordered livestock and other products from Abyss on Sunday. I changed my order several times using their “Add to order” function. All products arrived together and in perfect condition, as did the livestock. I followed the instructions provided by Abyss and the livestock have taken well to my tank. They are beautiful fish, exactly as described. The shipping was easy and fast. I’ll shop here again.

I received 5 fish from Abbys. I followed the instruction as provided. 4 fish survived. One fish died within an hour of releasing it into the tank. Abyss would not provide a credit or a refund. have bought fish online and at high street stores over the past 10 years. This is the worst customer service I have received thus far. I would not reccomend buying tropical fish from this store

I've ordered 6 fish from Abyss now and all have been way better quality than my LFS. Even so called difficult fish like leopard wrasses have been great and eating frozen food within 24 hours. I've also called the team on a couple of occasions and always had great advice.

Went in today, could get in the shop door way cause there was a massive fridge blocking the way in anyway got in to try and get a refund on fish food the was recommended on the 27th july costing £11.57. however, the fish did not like the food, and it does not look like the proper fish food for the fish i had.

When i first got these fish on said date above, i was waiting for ages a good 30 mins before i could get someone, the lady who served and helped was great, but she did smell like alcohol when she spoke.

Today, however i went in to try and get my £11.57 i had the receipt for proof. So i asked for a refund the girl took it off me, then she forcefully open the fish food aggressively for it to then go all over the tills and counters, i was embarrassed. She split a good 1/3 of the fish food everywhere then hands it me back? So now you have just wasted a good £3/£4 of my fish food i have to keep? All because the girl was to aggressive with the product and says sorry but i cant refund it, even tho i had a receipt and it had been opened to try n see if the fish liked it after it was recommended, making me spend £11.57 on a tube of fish food with 1/3 missing because she spills it everywhere. They will be lucky if i go back in there again.

I have just received my first order from Abyss.
My order was received, picked, packed, and dispatched very rapidly on the day of order. Now, the following day, the courier has delivered a very well packaged item (£100!) to my waiting hands. Overall, perhaps 24hrs, keyboard to cardboard.
From a business without the resources of Amazon, I think this is just fantastic service.
Prices are fair, packaging etc. thorough, speed really impressive.
I RECOMMEND Abyss - I think they're fantastic!

Spent a fair bit of money with abyss aquatics over last few months and have to say the quality of what I received has been amazing,all my marine livestock has been exceptionally good quality and I have had no losses with fish,coral,or critters,also my address is really hard to find I informed abyss about this and they have gone above and beyond to ensure the courier gets my delivery perfectly,to be honest their couriers are the only courier that do get it right

Ordered a Nero 5 dc pump as an upgrade for Echotech MP10. Nero 5 is superior in my opinion with better programmability/functionality. Fewer wave type options but better functionality. The price point is better too. The courier managed to misdirect the order, causing a delivery delay. These things happen. Abyss Aquatics were quick to respond. Will happily buy from them in the future.

I've ordered from most tropical-fish online shops that will deliver in the uk and this is definitely the best service I have received without a shadow of a doubt! I will be using this company again! Nothing to moan or complain about everything was 10/10!

Brilliant service coral beauty arrived today absolutely spot on fish very healthy the lass rang me two days before to tell me the fish had a slight nip on its fin and that's all it is very slight so rather than just send out the fish they rang me and sent videos of the fish to see if I still wanted it and I did because the nip on fin was hardly noticeable great shop and service this is now my go to shop for my marine life A+++++

I bought my wonderful 3 Pea pufferfish from Abyss aquatics and my beautiful Colombian Pleco. All 4 fish arrived extremely well packaged and in a good timescale. They very quickly settled down in their new home and seem very happy and healthy indeed.The parcel arrived with very well written,easy to follow guidelines on how to unbox the fish in a manner to best negate any stress to them. I needed to get myself a new light for my marine aquarium.
Went to Abyss and spoke to someone who I thought was being very nice..but really it seems all he wanted was my money...and showed me the light that would work 'really well' with my softies coral tank. I think I asked him three times if the light was powerful enough and each time he said yes.
Well...it doesn't. The corals are shrinking and some have died and now..Abyss refuse to take the unit back and allow me a refund or credit. The unit was NOT cheap and its less than 2mn old.
It's taken time to realise that rather than help grow my corals the light unit is actually killing them off.
Moral of the story..don't believe a word you are told by any of the staff there...money first with customer service trailing a long way back.
So now I am stuck with a light unit that isn't fit for purpose and I have to go buy another unit.

This was my first purchase from.abyss , but will definitely not be my last , great quick service , couldn't fault them at all ordered on a Saturday evening product arrived early Tuesday , kept up to date from when I placed order to delivery of product

On my first visit to Abyss approximately 2 months ago to purchase live food it became immediately apparent that the owner decided to take umbrage to my whole being on this earth . He berated me in front of his staff and customers which consisted of him telling me that I know nothing whilst he unprofessionally sat on the counter at the till area .
I didn’t react because that type of toxic masculinity isn’t worth denting my aura for .
Against my better judgment and for convenient logical reasons I continued to frequent Abyss for live food once per week .
Today yet again , the owner clearly questioned my own existence and decided to take a step back as he was walking away to tell me how wrong I was again , I should stop researching because he knows better and he’s been in the aquatic game for thirty years , something he likes to mention quite often like vegans telling you they’re vegan and I’m vegan !
He yet again berated me in front of his staff , whose reactions I have never quite gauged . Again of course I’m wrong , I don’t know what I’m doing and he even can tell you the PH level of your tap water from the town you live in you know , isn’t he clever ?
The distain this man feels for me is disturbing and I’m so glad I didn’t let him push me to reaction today .
I have however sourced another supplier moving forward as I no longer wish to invade my space with his brutish attitude toward me or maybe women in general .

The staff however have always been courteous, professional and helpful , it’s just when you get to the till and the owner spots me in particular it seems , the attacks begins .

Just incase he hasn’t told you or you didn’t know , he’s been in the aquatic game for thirty years , he has unfortunately not been in the customer service game for thirty years .

He won’t miss my £80 per month spend and I won’t miss his berating vitriol .

I have used abyss aquatics a lot and I have to say they are so helpful and approachable and the shop itself is well stocked and clean

I had never bought fish online before so was apprehensive but had no need to be, from phoning in my order being answered by a very helpful woman to my dwarf chain loaches arriving the following day all went well. Unfortunately one had died in transit but was sorted out and money refunded the same day. Amazing company to deal with and would highly recommend Abyss Aquatics.

What a fantastic trip out to abyss, i went here years ago when it first started, i was very surprised by how much they have improved over the years, the place is fantastic, clean tanks, knowledgable and helpful staff, their displays and aquarium accessories also excellent. Bought some fish online from them as it is far from me, beautiful panda garra's, came boxed in polystyrene with heat pack, each fish individually bagged inside for 24 hour delivery, courier service excellent, kept in touch all the way. What can I say I have actually found a online seller that send what you ordered and when they say it will be delivered mega packing all I can say is thank you, you have gained a new customer
