Academic English Now Avis

In December 2023, I was on the verge of quitting research due to overwhelming stress and anxiety. However, during my first meeting with Marek, I was inspired to give it one more try. I initially joined the platform for three months, thinking it would be my last attempt before walking away from research. I must mention that Hayden, through his coaching sessions and his ability to encourage researchers like me, truly inspired me to stay and extend my membership for a year. I remained an active member of this amazing community.

Another valuable thing I discovered on this platform is that I’m not alone in facing challenges in research; everyone is struggling in some way. What sets this community apart is the great support that members offer one another. The positive vibe, friendly atmosphere, and culture of collaboration made all the difference. Over time, my stress and anxiety began to subside as I connected with like-minded researchers who shared their knowledge and offered help without hesitation. The sense of accountability, combined with the warmth and openness of the community, gave me the motivation and confidence to continue.
I have improved my academic writing and presentation skills, learned new research methodologies, and, most importantly, overcome procrastination. I also developed effective time management strategies, which have transformed the way I approach my work. As a result, I published a policy briefing, submitted a paper to one of the top journals in my field, and about to submit my third paper to another journal. Beyond these achievements, I have gained a lot of confidence and have even inspired others in the community.

Now, I truly feel part of a global family of scholars, researchers, and academics. We are connected 24/7, forming friendships and collaborations with amazing people from around the world, each engaged in different research fields. This platform has renewed my passion for research and given me the tools and connections to thrive in this challenging journey.

It has been a transformative journey for me to be part of this community of wise people

I am incredibly grateful to have been a part of the Published Researcher Community! The community is filled with inspiring individuals, some diligently working to complete their first research projects, while others are already on their second or third published paper. Being surrounded by such dedication and passion has motivated me to keep moving forward in my own journey.

The platform itself is an invaluable resource, offering clear lessons that break down the steps to completing a successful dissertation or research project. Among the many supports, my absolute favorite experience has been working with my coach, Margarita. Her guidance was thoughtful, honest, and empowering. I also had the privilege of joining sessions with other coaches like Hayden and Lilah, who are incredibly skilled and experienced, and I am truly grateful to have also learned from them.

I just started using this platform last night, and I already find it super helpful! I wish I had known about it earlier—it would’ve made my first few months at university so much easier. I’ll definitely keep using it throughout my studies. Thank you!

Academic English is a powerful platform to learn scientific writing with the guidance and feedback of your mentors. Each learner has the opportunity to have feedback from a handful of experienced writers. It is up to the student if staying with one mentor. I really value the constant feedback I receive from my mentor. I learned a lot values like being consistent and dedicated in writing. Achieving measurable small wind daily will achieve your goal.

I highly recommend the Published Researcher Program to anyone doing research or pursuing a PhD. Why?
Because I learned three key lessons from it:
-How to take responsibility and effectively address common challenges during a PhD, such as becoming an effective time-and goal-oriented manager.
-How to significantly improve my scientific writing and communication skills by following a clear and structured approach.
-How to use tools—such as AI and other software—based on sound principles and apply them purposefully to my work.

By the end of the program, I had learned more in six months about writing and publishing than I had in 3.5 years of my PhD and many other courses.
For anyone looking to become more effective and independent in research, I strongly recommend this program.
I consider this type of training should become part of every PhD program and Academia should acknowledge that.

These guys were awesome. Hayden was my coach - and my writing has totally transformed. The guidance and the templates are so powerful.

Probably a bit on the expensive side, but have wasted a decade on my life trying to figure out on my own. I would say money well spent

I learned about AEN while searching for help on YouTube, as I am in the process of completing my PhD. After viewing and using some helpful videos and free resources, I decided to jump on a free exploration call to see if the program was a fit. It definitely is!

There is a wealth of information to get you from 0 to submitted, e.g., deciding on your research topic, writing papers of different kinds (quantitative and qualitative), A-Z for finishing your PhD, and achieving the quality to publish in high-impact journals. There is guidance on using AI ethically and, importantly, managing your energy and mind - caring for yourself as you research/study/write.

There are plenty of coaching calls in different time zones and an interactive supportive community where you can ask questions, help others, have some fun, and gain access to some perks and prices. The coaches are helpful and attentive, and feedback is extensive and supportive to help you move forward. I have learned a lot even after having previously published many papers; there is always an opportunity to improve.

You can choose from different coaching options for excellent support. I enrolled in the Mastermind with Dr Marek Kiczkowiak and highly recommend it!

As a PhD student aiming to publish in top journals, I often struggled with structuring my thoughts, maintaining motivation, and meeting high academic standards. I joined this program hoping to gain guidance and structure.
Before the program, I often felt overwhelmed by the expectations of academic writing. I doubted my ability to write in English (my third language) at a publishable level and lacked the confidence to even get started.
The weekly feedback helped me identify patterns in my writing and clarify my ideas. Now, I feel much more independent. While I know I still have much to learn, and sometimes I still feel overwhelmed. Now, I feel more confident. I recently received just a few comments from my PhD supervisors on my first review paper, which made me feel proud of the progress I've made.
Being surrounded by people who love writing or are committed to writing and sharing their knowledge is deeply motivating.
This was just my experience writing my review paper—one paper I didn’t even want to start, and I finally finished it in three months with this program and the support of my coach!

My experience with Published Researcher (formerly Academic English Now) has been excellent. It really saved my life. My coach was amazing. She provided invaluable and constructive feedback on my dissertation. She reviewed each section of my dissertation and I was able to submit it a few months ago. I couldn't have done it without her.

There is also an incredibly supportive and motivating community of fellow researchers and coaches. This was much more helpful than just giving another presentation in my department.

Looking back, I wish I had started the programme earlier. Nevertheless, the programme helped me through the most difficult period of my doctorate, which was the completion of the monograph.

Academic English Now has been incredibly helpful in improving my approach to writing journal manuscripts. I now feel much more confident in my writing. One of the biggest advantages is having a coach who pays close attention to every sentence I write, offering thoughtful suggestions on how to improve. Thank you, Hayden and Marek.

Right now, I’m in a PR program that is very goal-oriented, which has helped me set clear writing and career goals and stay on track. Could I have done this on my own? Possibly—but it would have been much harder, and I would’ve needed a lot of self-motivation to keep pushing forward. Having a coach makes a real difference.

Marek truly cares about his clients. His support is not just about writing—it’s about helping you grow as a scholar and a writer.

Thank you for the guidance and encouragement!

The academic writing coaching has been a gamechanger for me. I joined in my final year of PhD, and as I work through the modules and attend the coaching sessions, I can see how to correct my writing and improve each time. I started with tutorials on structuring a thesis, writing sentences using academic language, and designing paragraphs. My coach, Hayden, is knowledgeable and supportive, and it’s been great having the other coaches and Marek on hand. I highly recommend this service.

The interaction with my mentor/coach was great. He gave me useful feedback with overall impression of my paper and detailed feedback to each sentence.

The community of other students and coaches are supportive and encouraging. We share wins and struggles. The community gave me good tips and advises when I was struggling with continuing writing.

I wish I chose better timing of starting the program. I started toward the end of 1st year in PhD program. My PhD program was too busy to attend any of coaching calls and online meetings. I wish I started during 3rd year when I am on my own to carry out the dissertation writing.

Great team! Everyone is very knowledgeable, kind, professional and patient. They guide you through the writing process and give you very insightful feedback. I've been working with Hayden and his expertise in guiding you through the writing process is invaluable. He goes above and beyond and genuinely cares about his clients and their success. The tutorials on the platform are also wonderful to guide you whether it is writing journal papers, PhD thesis writing and defense, grant writing, managing time and overcoming hurdles or research and academic life, and much more. Highly recommend this platform and this community for anyone wanting to take their research career to the next steps.

I had a fantastic experience with Academic English Now. Their tutorials and support were truly outstanding. The instructors provided clear, structured lessons that helped improve my academic writing and communication skills significantly. The personalized feedback and guidance made a real difference in my learning journey. I highly recommend Academic English Now to anyone looking to enhance their academic English skills!

Marek provides an invaluable service for PhD students and researchers. The resources, guidance, and expertise offered through Published Researcher significantly simplify the academic journey, helping students overcome complex challenges with clarity and confidence. The materials are well-structured, relevant, and genuinely helpful, reducing stress and improving productivity.

However, it is essential to be self-sufficient when working with the available materials. The resources are extensive and comprehensive, but they require personal commitment to make the most of them.

I highly recommend Published Researcher to anyone seeking reliable academic support. Marek’s dedication and expertise make this platform a valuable asset for PhD candidates striving for success.

I am delighted to offer my second and final feedback statement regarding my academic tutor, Hayden Godfrey. I am in the final stages of my PhD, and his feedback has been invaluable, particularly on my literature review and methodology, helping me to provide a deeper understanding of how they integrate with my research findings chapters. Whilst our academic interactions were very engaging, one notable exchange for me was how Hayden challenged my thinking and perception of where I was heading with my thesis, helping me rethink my epistemological and ontological stance.

I have no hesitation in recommending Hayden for any research project that calls for the highest level of academic structure, creativity, integrity and rigour. His exemplars and insights were always on-point and in sync with the learning modules of the Academic English Now program. Thank you, Hayden, for regularly sharing your expertise and experience with me on a timely basis.

I am a postgraduate student, and I joined AEN to improve my academic writing skills over the last couple of years. It has been an excellent experience as there is a community of academics to share ideas and support you. I have been assigned a personal coach to suit my topic. She has been brilliant in addressing my needs and her comments are very relevant to clarify the text for a non-expert reader. Highly recommended.

I am a postgraduate researcher working on qualitative research with communities. Recognising the importance of strong academic writing both in research and as a lifelong skill, I wanted to dedicate time to refining and improving my writing. I signed up for AEN in January 2025, partly as a New Year's resolution to work on my writing, which I have not paid too much attention to previously due to the consistently pressing demands of research and academia.

Through the weekly feedback and guidance, along with much-needed accountability and encouragement from my coach, Lynn, I was able to refine and improve two articles within three weeks!

In research, writing can be neglected and support structures such as AEN can definitely offer valuable improvement to one's writing. It is worth highlighting that signing up for academic writing support does not magically improve one's work. I would recommend AEN to those who are ready and prepared to invest—both in effort and financially in improving their writing.

I am zubayer Islam , I have started my journey as a business data analyst. I plan to do something different with my dream and I want to publish a paper in a Journal I met one of the advisers from Academic English now, Lynn Nicks-McCaleb who is a wonderful lady. I got lots of support from her and I boosted my confidence to write something every day. Truly this is one of the best experiences I have had with my supervisor also the AEN community. Everybody was very supportive to me.

AEN was a present I gave to myself, and it was worth every penny (dollar ;) ). No kidding. I am not an academic, but I took on the task of submitting a Paper for a conference among academics - playing with the big boys. I needed guidance, and I received it. My work is not done—it proved to be more tedious than expected, but I am confident I will be able to tie the final loose ends. Thanks to the coaches ( I had two), I am pressing on with confidence. I will bookmark the URL, to come back and post the conference experience and how my Paper impacted the current understanding of the highly intricate Bible Chapter 17 of The Revelation.
For now, many, many thanks!
