When I first went on to their website…

When I first went on to their website to order a framing hammer I was told that it would be sent immediately, however the moment that they took my funds for my account I was immediately informed that my hammer was now on backorder and I would not receive it until a month later. Here I am two and a half months after date of purchase I still have not received my framing hammer from Acme Tools every time that I talk to somebody in customer service they inform me that it will be sent out immediately within the next couple days two weeks later or 3 weeks later I receive an email telling me that they are unable to acquire my hammer therefore I order is being delayed. Customer service is not helpful, Acme Tools is not willing to ship customers the product they purchase in a timely fashion. If and when I do receive this hammer I will leave another review letting customers know exactly what the quality and content of the hammer is that they send. I ordered a boss Beast 28 Oz framing hammer, supposed to be top of the line in fiberglass handles framing hammers.. I guess we will see. I think customers should definitely think twice about ordering from a company that is unwilling to ship their product immediately.

Not good quality Air hoses

I made two purchases at this online store and spent alot of money on Goodyear air hoses that ended up being poor quality. I use this hose regularly at my customers shops and have always purchased them from another vendor but I saw Acme Tools was selling them significantly cheaper so I figured id give them a try and now I know why they were cheaper then normally priced! The goodyear air hoses I purchased here started bubbling at my customers reels within 1-2 weeks of installation and I had to go out to every customer who received this hose and replace them for free so hundreds of dollars & time was wasted. If the price seems too good to be true don't fall for it. It always ends up costing you more in the end.

Doesn’t send invoice showing you paid. So you have to hunt for order number and information on order. Then they lie in subscription saying it will be sooner then you finally find the information you need on the day your supposed to get the item and it had not even shipped yet. In short poor service and communication I’ll definitely go else where next time

Acme tools support fraudulent orders

Acme tools support fraudulent orders. Even after contacting them to signal the fraud a few times and cancel the order before it would get shipped customer service did not follow and shipped it to the fraudulent customer. Stay away from these guys! Makes me wonder if they are not accomplices??? Or if their policies are such that they don’t care And they favor fraudulent customers

Another dissatisfied customer

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with a recent order from Acme Tools. I placed an order on Monday, and after several days, the tracking information had still not updated.

I called on Thursday to inquire about the status of my order and was assured that someone would look into it. The following day, I received an email apologizing and stating that a new order had to be created. Confused, I called again, only to be told that my order would not be shipping until the following Monday.

Frankly, this is unacceptable. I have received items from overseas in less time than it has taken for my order to even leave their warehouse. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I am very disappointed to say the least about the significant delay in getting my order shipped.

They have lost another customer for life.

The Acme store in Des Moines Ia is always helpful. Always go above and beyond to try to get what I am looking for at the best possible price. Always good at returning phone calls when they say they will. I can’t say we have ever had a bad experience with this store.

Acme Tools is a scam. Buyer beware.

Against my better judgement I placed a (too good to be true order) for Milwaukee Tools from Acme Tool. I placed the order on 1/7/26 and received an email confirming the order on 1/8/26 with the tracking information. According to the tracking information, on February 6th, the order finally cleared customs. According to the tracking company, on February 8th the item arrived in my city and on February 11th the item was delivered. In fact, the item was never delivered. Bear in mind that this was an order for several large tools and tool cases. There should have been at least 3 medium to large boxes in the delivery.
I contacted the company via email, and received 2 replies 1 MINUTE APART via email as follows. Message 1: Thanks for reaching out to us.
We have relayed your request to the logistics company. However, the delivery person did not provide any photos.
Thank you for your understanding and support.

Message 2: Thanks for contacting us.
We have checked and found that the logistics status of your order is "Delivered Successfully".
Due to the fact that international logistics delivery sometimes may be affected by local delivery practices, packages may be temporarily placed at the door, in the property, with neighbors or with family members. We suggest that you:
1.Check the areas around your residence where packages might be placed.
2.Ask your family members or roommates if they have collected it on your behalf.
3.Confirm with your neighbor whether they have temporarily stored your package.

Please note that our local delivery companies (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.,) almost always take photos of their deliveries and any large items are left with a doorbell ring. We are retired were both at home on February 11th.

This is a scam company and I paid the price for assuming otherwise.

I purchased over $1500 dollars worth of…

I purchased over $1500 dollars worth of tools in one order. In that order was a master impact socket set. Upon opening them I found 16 sockets missing. I double checked the order. The missing sockets should have came in the set. I advised ACME of the situation. They told me there was nothing they could do. I even asked to buy the missing sockets and they refused to sell them individually. Stear clear of these fools what a joke. They offered to send me a $100 rebate which I told them to just keep. It was an insult and sounds like they need the money to improve their s//tty customer service.

Comedy of errors in latest order.

I've had a couple of orders with acme that were totally fine. On my most recent order, it was significantly delayed, which they did not tell me until I contacted support to ask why I didn't have a shipping notification yet after 10 days. At that point they said it was backordered with an ETA of about 2.5-3 months, so I asked to cancel the order. They said they could not and I would have to wait for it to arrive and could then return it. I could not wait that long (birthday gift) so I ordered it from someone else. In about 2 days I got a notification that it had shipped, and it arrived a few days after that. How did they get the timeline so wrong? Then, I had to pay the shipping to return it! When I asked about reimbursement, I was informed, that the bad information was not their responsibility. To add insult to injury, they have also referred to me by an incorrect name in every support response.

I just recently had a problem with Acme…

I just recently had a problem with Acme I’ve placed other orders back in September and again in October for Milwaukee tools from Acme and the orders went great I got the product and no issues.
We then come to an order that I placed in the first half of December for several items one of them was a Milwaukee heated hooded jacket as a Christmas present to myself , the jacket I had was falling apart as soon as I got my new one I thankfully trashed my current one then I had several other items another item was a screw driver type pick set , and then there was a packout regular screw driver and prybar set. I received my jacket actually the day after Christmas and some of the other stuff in my order all except the screw driver pick set and the screwdriver prybar set I just had to wait on that a few more days. We had a really warm Christmas here where I live so I hadn’t used my jacket yet and when I opened the package and took it out and put the battery in and turned it on with a fully charged battery it died after like 5 minutes I took that battery off and put another battery on and nothing it no longer worked I could occasionally get it to come on for a minute or so then right back off so I contacted Acme and she gave me a couple of solutions we could do I could send this one back and they could get me another one but it was going to be a good while it is on back order keep in mind I already trashed my original jacket for this wonderful jacket which the jacket was fine just the heated part didn’t work, my next option was to just send it back and they would give me a refund , and my third and final option was to keep the jacket and they would give me a discount which I would prefer have a working heated jacket that’s why I ordered it but if it was going to be worth it I’d just keep it then I got their offer which the customer service person said I wouldn’t like is to just give me $20 back on the purchase price, so now I am without coat because I sent it back thanks for that by the way Acme, then keep in mind I had two more items that was still to be delivered the first the pick set I got several days late the second get this conveniently went on to the back order list imagine that, so it would take some kind miracle to get me to do business with them again which is a shame because they had some good deals and until this was always very good company. Sorry so long of a review I’m just venting.

They do not price match, they say they do

I bought two items and after payment, I saw a Google price notification that said it was lower somewhere else. So I contacted them like 2 minutes after I ordered. They did not respond and I reached out again. They said they don't match Amazon because it is a 3rd party seller. I said OK I will refuse the package. They said they will charge me shipping even though it was free shipping. I will contact my credit card company. Customer service sucks, like big time attitude. Just match the price already. I will never do business with these clowns, and neither should you.

Deceptive.

They use high-speed automated logistics to create shipping labels almost instantly, which allows them toclaim the order is "in process" and uncancelable-even if the box sits in their warehouse for DAYS.

I ordered something on a holiday, was given ZERO opportunity to cancel, and its magicly shipped the next day within an hour of opening? Seems fishy. They won't cancel the order and are making me PAY for return shipping. They label lock so they can refuse to cancel your order.

I ordered a Christmas gift (tools) for…

I ordered a Christmas gift (tools) for a family member. I made the order on December 3rd. When I placed the order the delivery date was December 18th. I called today to confirm delivery with the order number and I was told the items were on backorder and the estimated delivery was mid January. This is a horrible situation for a Christmas gift. I ended up cancelling the order and got a full refund. I will now be scrambling to get the tools by Christmas - if I can. I will never do business with this company again. I am just sorry I didn't see the horrendous reviews the company has on all public review sites.

They sold me a product they said was in…

They sold me a product they said was in stock. After waiting a week for a tracking number for shipment, the product never shipped. When I went back to the website it said the product was (available to order). When I called they said the product would not ship for another two months. Liars!

My recent experience with ACME Tools…

My recent experience with ACME Tools has been nothing short of exasperating, and I feel compelled to warn prospective customers before they consider doing business with this company. From the outset, the level of customer service I encountered was profoundly disappointing. Representatives were consistently unhelpful, curt, and in several instances outright rude when asked the simplest questions about my order. At no point did I feel that my concerns were taken seriously or that anyone was genuinely interested in resolving the issues I raised.

The company’s return policy only added to the frustration. Navigating it was a tedious exercise in obstruction, marked by unclear instructions, dismissive responses, and a general unwillingness to provide meaningful solutions. Rather than standing behind the products they sell, ACME Tools seemed more focused on avoiding responsibility and deflecting accountability, leaving customers to absorb the inconvenience.

To make matters considerably worse, the delivery process was appallingly slow. I waited two full months for an item that was advertised with a much shorter fulfillment time. When the package finally arrived, the product was visibly damaged, rendering it unusable. After such a prolonged wait, receiving a compromised item was both infuriating and unacceptable.

In my view, ACME Tools has demonstrated a troubling disregard for customer satisfaction at every stage—from communication to shipping to after-purchase support. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before purchasing from this company and to consider alternative retailers who value professionalism, responsiveness, and basic respect for their customers.
