A good watch is about far more than simply telling time - it’s about integrity, authenticity and design that lasts. These are the pillars on which Aera was founded. Aera crafts purposeful and functional instruments that are designed to be used everyday and built to last a lifetime. We call them Tools for Life. Good product design depends on rigorous functionality, elevated engineering and great style. With this in mind, close friends and watch industry veterans Jas Minhas and Olof Larsson, co-founded Aera in 2018. The duo decided it would focus its efforts on creating a new range of Swiss made mechanical watches that were enduringly useful, contemporary in appearance and price, with a quality level to ensure they would stand the test of time. Launched in July 2022, the design, quality and pricing of our instruments has convinced both watch collectors, style and design enthusiasts to invest and make an Aera their everyday watch of choice.

Ordering was straight forward and they kept me updated on schedules, with a couple of personally sent emails.
Really happy to own and wear something extremely well made, rare and unique in today’s global wristwatch market.

Not limited edition of 25 beware marketing scam
To be fair the watch is ok but feel cheated i purchased 1 of 25 limited edition watch now being sold as limited on the mr porter site so not limited at all just a play on words that is scamming in my opinion and Ted Snyder should not attach his name to such collabs

Firstly thank you for purchasing one of our Aera x Todd Snyder Whiteout Special Edition watches. Our Todd Snyder D-1 Whiteout and D-1 Blackout special editions were only made in editions of 25 units each. You will be able to see the serial number of your watch on the case-back and rear left lug which clearly states it is an edition of 25. Mr Porter ordered a few units of the Blackout and Whiteout which they only launched last week with a number of other Aera watches and they decided not to show the serial numbers of the watches they photographed. As you purchased a watch from us directly we would have appreciated you contacting us so that we could have explained this to you and would have saved you from coming to an incorrect conclusion.

We wanted to provide you with an update. As of 11.03.26 Mr Porter have now updated the Whiteout and Blackout case-back images to showcase the serial number to avoid any further confusion. If you are not happy with your watch we offer a 30 day money back guarantee (Please note the watch will need to be returned in the same condition it arrived in)

High quality and something different
From the first moment I saw the Aera D-1 whiteout I knew I had to have one.
Unfortunately, i missed the initial release and lost the opportunity after they sold out immediately.
After I sent an e mail explaining my lapse on failing to secure one of the very limited 25 made, I received a reply to explain that a client hadn't completed their purchase!
Jas (the boss) took the time to get involved and ask customer services to arrange for me to finalise my purchase.
A few days later and it arrived, a day ahead of schedule!
WOW, an absolutely stunning piece that is robust and beautifully made.
I'm so glad I managed to get one on my wrist.
The whole Aera range is exquisite, something stylish, distinctive and a breath of fresh air from the myriad of mainstream watches available, just so individual.
If you want a high quality, well designed and very competitive watch, look no further!

Poor Service
Similar to others, I ordered a watch and have an issue; rather than return it outright (guaranteed by the policy with no questions offered), I asked to exchange it. Despite emails to their support and founders, I have had no response a week later.
The watch itself is wonderfully designed but for an up and coming microbrand recommended by Monocle (among others), this is not the service expected. I wouldn't buy another watch like this online.

I recently received the M-1 Dune and was blown away by the attention to detail that went into making it (raised numbering, dish dial, indented small seconds, great lume, and the dynamic dune color). Very happy with the purchase!
