Awful Experience!
I’m sharing my experience so that others can make an informed decision before booking with this clinic.
I returned to the clinic to see Dr Ahmed for a corrective procedure relating to a complication from treatment I had previously received there. I had previously attended for a correction and had not been charged for the procedure, so I believed I was returning for further correction of the same issue.
Before my appointment, I paid a £100 prepayment. I specifically asked the clinic about this beforehand and was told in writing that the £100 would be deducted from treatment or carried over to my next appointment.
What upset me most was that neither Dr Ahmed nor any member of the clinic team informed me before the procedure that I would be charged an additional £295. At no point before or during my appointment was I made aware that this additional amount would be payable.
The procedure was carried out, and it was only afterwards, when I went to the desk, that I was asked to pay another £295. I was shocked. Had Dr Ahmed or the clinic staff clearly informed me of this cost beforehand, I would not have gone ahead with the procedure.
I also found the appointment extremely rushed and the procedure very painful. No numbing cream was used, which made the experience particularly uncomfortable. I felt that Dr Ahmed was in a hurry to move on to his next customer and that I was being rushed out of the way. From my personal experience, it left me feeling as though the priority was getting through appointments and taking payment rather than giving me the time, care and attention I expected as a patient.
I contacted the clinic immediately afterwards explaining that I had not been informed of the £295 charge beforehand and requested a refund. Unfortunately, I have been unable to resolve the matter with them.
This was an extremely disappointing experience. I believe patients should be clearly informed of the full cost of any treatment before a procedure is carried out, giving them the opportunity to decide whether they wish to proceed.
Based on my personal experience, I would advise anyone considering treatment with Dr Ahmed or this clinic to ask for the full treatment price and any additional charges in writing before allowing any procedure to be carried out.
