Build quality was overall great.. BUT there are issues I want to address.

Build quality was overall great, though there are some parts that I feel like were issues that could be improved upon..

For example the cable management was pretty bad as it was just bundled up with zip ties, hanging in the middle of the back compartment, and the rest was shoved into the sata drive compartment.

For context, I ordered and purchased the Pentagon White which uses the NZXT H6 Flow case, and this case has build-in cable management trails and zones.
To see them not utilized felt like a bit of an insult and a missed opportunity.

Some cables from the motherboard have come loose likely during shipping, which needed me to go back in and redo the cable management to allow a more complete connection to the motherboard.

To Aftershock staff: I'd recommend not keeping the cables too tight during cable management, just so you can allow the wires and cables a little bit of wiggle room so they don't come undone during shipping.

I also included in the order, their GPU bracket just for ease of mind so the brick of a RTX 5080 can be supported during shipping and saves me time to go buy a GPU support bracket myself but... When I got the PC, the bracket was loose and not even supporting the GPU and I'm pretty sure it's missing a piece as the bracket was quite literally 2cm long, almost like it's missing an extension piece...
I had to go out and purchase a cheap $10 GPU bracket and install it myself.

I am overall happy with the build, but my order was over $4000 so I kind of expected a little more care to be put into the build :(

Regarding the GPU Bracket add-on, if the bracket really is this tiny 2cm bracket, then I really don't recommend purchasing this add-on at all. Not only does it cost $20, it isn't even really supporting the GPU that well... I would recommend, just go on Amazon and buy a $10 GPU holder with magnetic bottom and use that. Especially since Aftershock already packages your PC with a lot of Foam to prevent the components from moving during shipping.

Pc delivered a day early

Pc delivered a day early. Couldn’t really find a manual.. had to YouTube on what to do for installation. Gave me a mild panic attack because with all the spare wires and screws and the protection material in the pc itself. After I watched YouTube it was pretty easy to do, even for an idiot like myself 🙂. Took me 2 minutes and it was ready to plug and play.

BAD!!

my aftershock pc spoiled during warranty. i went to purchase a new PC from aftershock and send in my old PC for repair.
when new PC arrive, there was a cold start problem and it required a reboot for the PC to load.
after old PC came back from repair (they changed the motherboard), PC turned on with no display.
it seems like they do not even test before shipping the PC out

Nimbus Lvl 8

Bought a Nimbus Lvl 8, have had it for 1 week now and it continues to blow me away, the craftsmanship, the performance, incredible pc. Extremely easy to order and shipping was lightning fast. Thanks again Aftershock! Appreciate you! 10/10

My initial order experience was…

My initial order experience was extremely disappointing. I was surprised to learn after placing the order that a custom build would take 15–20 days to complete. This kind of information should be clearly disclosed upfront before the order process begins.

When I attempted to cancel, I felt pressured by the sales team to continue. They offered me an alternative system with similar specifications, and I reluctantly agreed.

Although the order arrived faster than expected, that positive impression was short-lived. Upon setup, I discovered the GPU had no power. After considerable effort resetting and troubleshooting, I found signs of physical damage to both the graphics card and the motherboard socket. While I managed to get the system temporarily working, the GPU continues to lose power intermittently.

Further inspection revealed deep gouges on the tempered glass side panel.

Overall, the entire experience has been extremely disappointing — from the lack of transparency and pressure to proceed with the order, to the damaged and unreliable product I ultimately received.

I bought a custom PC from Aftershock…

I bought a custom PC from Aftershock and unfortunately the experience has been very disappointing.

Specs & Transparency

I was sold a system with a PCIe Gen 5 GPU paired with a Gen 4 motherboard slot. Only later did I learn that this mismatch means the GPU runs at Gen 4 speeds. It doesn’t affect today’s gaming performance much, but the marketing around “Gen 5” felt misleading.

Build & Delivery

I paid for “express” service, but my build (finished Thursday morning) sat until Monday night before being shipped. The courier didn’t deliver on weekends, which wasn’t disclosed.

Customer Service

When I reached out with concerns, staff were dismissive and unwilling to help.

Missing Items

I asked them to include the boxes for my GPU/CPU for warranty and resale purposes, plus the stock Wraith cooler I had upgraded from. They promised they would, but these items were not in the box.

Overall, I feel misled and let down. The PC itself runs fine, but the lack of transparency, poor service, and broken promises leave me unable to recommend Aftershock. I wouldn’t want others especially less tech-savvy buyers to go through the same experience

Aftershock nailed my custom build

Aftershock nailed my custom build — flawless performance and tidy finish. The free upgrade to the DeepCool AK400 Digital – Aftershock Edition with a temp display was the icing on the cake. Great value, great service and no hesitation in recommending these guys if you’re looking at a custom built machine!

I’ve had a very frustrating experience…

I’ve had a very frustrating experience with my new PC (14th-gen Intel CPU).

From the start, it has been plagued with crashes when running Black Myth: Wukong and other UE5 games. This is a known instability issue with Intel’s 13th/14th gen CPUs, but I expected the vendor to deliver a stable system and proper support. Instead, I’ve now sent my PC for repair three times:

First repair: Only a BIOS update was done. The issue persisted.

Second repair: The CPU was replaced. It worked for a short while, but the crashes returned.

Third repair (current): Sent in again. It’s now been over 2 weeks with no ETA. Customer service says they’re still waiting for a response from their technical team.

For a high-end machine, I expected both reliability and decent after-sales support. Instead, I’ve had weeks without a working PC, repeated trips for repair, and no clear communication about what’s being done to fix it.

If you’re considering a build with Intel’s latest CPUs, be warned: instability in Black Myth and other UE5 titles is a real problem, and the repair process can leave you stuck without a system for weeks.

Pros and Cons

The company had great customer service… after I messaged a tonne. The pre built PC took 3 weeks to get to me, this was on the shipping company and was handled eventually which was nice.

Have had my Pc now for maybe 2-3 months. I constantly have issues with it unfortunately. My wifi doesn’t connect properly even with ethernet, and we have insane WIFI. I thought there was an issue with my headphones not connecting to it but it could pair with everyone else’s PC, phones etc just fine and will decide when and when not to work.

When it is working it’s great. On paper it should be better than my partners PC, but just always having small - extremely frustrating inconveniences with it.

Australian store is useless customer service

I ordered a new pc and it was running great for a month and then randomly stopped working. I dropped it in to a local repair place to diagnose the issue while I tried to get in contact with aftershock. I grabbed the email from their website and sent in what happened. 2 days later got a replay saying it was the wrong email and I should contact the Australia branch?! Didn’t even forward it on or anything just wrong, try again. So I emailed the right email address. 3 days to get a response which asked for the exact same information that I’d included in the original email. Meanwhile I got the diagnosis back from my local repair place and both ram sticks had failed and would need replacing (should be WELL within warranty). I included this in my reply to the latest email. Unsurprisingly absolutely no response 2 days later.
Absolutely horrible, I’ve been too busy to call them during hours as I’m in a seperate state.
From what I can tell the AU store is absolutely useless and just used the good name of the Singapore store and are absolutely ruining it. The Singapore store appears to be actually good but I don’t have much experience with them
