AH! Quiz Time Avis 

Adam and Helen simply make the best quiz hosts. They clearly can read their patrons as the difficulty level is spot on. Some you know, some you should know and some, well, hopefully someone else in the team does!
Love too how friendly they are with everyone. I can’t recommend highly enough for a fun evening.

We attended the huge Charity Quiz at the Old Bell in Sawbridgeworth last night. 140 quizzers, everybody looked like they enjoyed themselves. Loads of money raised, great raffle prizes. Very well organised by Helen and Adam

Came with a few friends for our first time and was not only impressed with the hosts but also filled with humour by the quiz leader. If you want a quiz with jokes and a memorable time then these are your people !

Absolutely brilliant quiz night every Wednesday! The quiz team work incredibly hard to put together one of the best general knowledge quizzes around, with great questions, a fantastic atmosphere, a cash prize and a bonus question each week.

They also regularly support and donate to charities, which is a great touch. As well as the weekly general knowledge quiz, they run themed quizzes throughout the year including Music, Friends, Football, Star Wars and plenty more to come.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun and competitive night out!

Such a fun quiz with a great range of questions to keep everyone on their toes! Adam and Helen are always super welcoming and make sure everyone has a good time. The specialist rounds are brilliant too — the music quiz is always a hoot and something to look forward to.

Questions always seem to hit the sweet spot between too hard and too easy and Adam and Helen have a great raport with all newbies and regulars alike .

Another great evening! Last night's Disney quiz was the usual combination of fun and challenging questions with it's mixture of picture, music and question rounds. Adam and Helen spared no effort in ensuring everyone had a great time even providing Mickey Mouse ears for people to wear and little gifts on each table. A great time was had by all, as always.

Great quiz. Adam and Helen did really well. It wasn’t overly difficult which made it more fun and was great having the music round to sing along to too. Good atmosphere, fabulous that each team had a table that was decorated with Disney bits and bobs and ears to wear and it’s a great idea to have the choice of pizza with it aswell. Overall great fun, a good laugh and a well put together quiz.

I do love a quiz and AH Quiz time host my absolute faves! I often attend their weekly general knowledge quizzes at the white lion, Sawbridgeworth on a Wednesday (you have to book early to grab a table- that speaks volumes as to how popular it is). A clipboard is passed round a you get to opportunity to choose a song for the makeshift “jukebox” which makes for great listening between rounds! Then you receive a set of sheets including a music round, table round and quiz sheet and sometimes even a bonus round like recently we had a bonus oompah music round inspired by Oktoberfest- the questions are always a real mixture and there’s always something for everyone (even I can get the odd answer 🤣) If you win the quiz you win a prize of a £20 gift voucher for Greene King (I think- I’ll let you know if I win sometime) and all the teams are added onto a league table which runs for a season & points get added each week!
You also get given a raffle ticket and after the quiz a ticket is drawn. Whoever is the lucky person with the winning ticket will get to opportunity to either take £50 or take on the challenge of answering a mystery question with the chance of winning a jackpot amount which goes up after every wrong question- it has been as high as £1000 in the past! Very exciting! But be warned the questions are HARD! (Always worth a punt tho)
I know they often host a music quiz monthly on a Monday at the Old Bell, Sawbridgeworth- I am yet to attend one of these but I definitely aspire too!

Last night I attended one of their specialty quizzes held from time to time at the Sawbridgeworth Memorial Hall, which is what inspired me to write this review- It was a Disney quiz and it was just so much fun! 2 music rounds which had everyone singing along to some of Disney’s best numbers (I am not sure that my rendition of let it go was great but after a couple of glasses of Prosecco from the bar- it felt great 🤣) 2 tables rounds one of pictures and one of questions were fab and all 5 of us on the table had something to answer! Then there were 3 rounds of questions- varying in difficulty! There was also the option of pre ordering Pizza 🍕 from pizza Inferno, an events catering van who provided 3 different types of pizza all with great themed names- a had mickeys margarita, it was delicious!
The previous speciality quiz was Harry Potter themed and my personal fave topic! Both quizzes were beautifully set out with tables laid out as to the themes (ie house table names for hp) little treats laid across the table- stickers colouring little toys! Just absolutely going the extra mile! My kids came with me to the HP quiz and they absolutely loved it!!
Adam and Helen have been an absolute game changer to quizzing in Sawbridgeworth making it fun for the most serious quizzers to those who are just in it for a laugh and an excuse to be a bit social- everyone is made feel welcome and it really is an all round experience!

Makes for a very entertaining evening, it's also an education. The format works well, atmosphere is great, everyone's gets into the spirit of things. Adam and Helen do a fantastic job, have been attending regularly now for over a year and I still find myself looking forward to it each week. There is also a monthly music quiz as an added bonus. Word of warning, the place is usually full, so booking a table in advance is a must. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

What a fun evening. Thank you so much for such an engaging quiz. The quiz had 4 rounds, also a music round and a photo sheet to complete as you went along. There was something for everyone and all abilities. I would definitely attend again.

Superb Quizz sessions. Attend every week and have to book one in advance for a table. We love the raffle question at the end too.
