AIFS Abroad Avis 

The trip was one of my favorite since it was my first time coming to Europe by myself the staff was super accommodating and when I had a problem (not very often) they fixed it right away

It was absolutely the best experience I could ask for. Everywhere we stayed was beautiful! AIFs made sure that where we stayed was in the most PERFECt locations throughout the three cities we went to. The travel between countries was such a fun experience too! Getting to experience the Eurostar, and going on trains and planes with the group was such a fun time too I never minded the travel days! The tour manager and staff were all so very kind and helpful- our tour manager was the BEST. He was so helpful, funny, and always so welcoming- truly MADE the experience what it was. The people I met on the trip were amazing and having 3 weeks to bond with each other was great. Lifelong friendships were definitely made on this trip. I could not recommend going with AIFs more. I had the best time and would absolutely go again if I could.

I love all of the events that have been planned for us! They have been really fun and a great way to get out and explore more of Italy. Amanda and Antonella are super fun and I have loved getting to do these different activities with them. I wish I enjoyed my internship more but this has nothing to do with Amanda and Antonella but nonetheless they have been really helpful in trying to give all of us advice to make it better and advocate for ourselves. I wish whoever was in charge of placing intern and company together had tried to have a conversation with me to figure out what I wanted to do, somewhat get to know me to find the best placement. I also felt like I had little control over my internship because I was told that I could not say no if I was offered the job even if it was not exactly what I wanted (which is not what other students experienced so I am not sure why there was a difference). Nonetheless I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Italy, I just wish I enjoyed my internship.

When going to Lake Como. It had to be the best experience ever!! Amanda and Antonella made sure we had the best experience. It was about making sure you got the best view of the town. The boat ride was insane, the houses one could see were just mesmerizing. Truly a great experience.

I had a great time during the trip to Como. I loved the boat ride as I feel I got a real look at the whole area. Antonella and Amanda were great in so many ways. You could tell they really wanted us to have a great time. They created such a beautiful experience as we had the boat ride and lunch together. In addition we also got the rest of the day to be independent from the program and explore the town. I appreciated their support at the first half of the day and they trust in us for the majority of it. It is great to be part of an experience that really understands we are adults. It was a lovely day!

My study abroad experience in Sevilla, Spain with AIFS was wholeheartedly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure and I couldn't have gotten luckier with the location I chose. Not only was the city itself absolutely marvelous, but each and every person I met while I was there made the experience that much better. However, the part of the journey that allowed me to have the memories that I did was the structure provided to us by AIFS and the on-site team in Sevilla. Without their help assimilating into the city, succeeding in our classes, and facilitating our excursions, my experience would've been much more difficult and certainly less memorable. My choice of Sevilla was made because of the excursions AIFS provided and the different classes they offered on their website, and I can only imagine how it would've turned out otherwise. I am forever grateful to AIFS for giving me this opportunity and the directors in Sevilla for making it as fun as possible, and for anyone considering studying abroad in Spain, I highly recommend Sevilla.

AIFS offered many travel exclusions within their program that were very fun and reduced the stress of planning traveling within our host country of Ireland! The program director was not only a very good resource but also someone to help guide us and make us feel safe throughout entire study abroad experience! Overall, would highly recommend this program!

Amanda and Antonella were very welcoming even before arriving to Milan and made sure that we had everything we needed at all times, no matter if it was regarding our internship or living accommodations. They were very responsive and answered all questions I had, even if they didn’t know the answer in the moment, they would get back to me when they did have one.

When I first moved to Milan, I had already had experiences with moving abroad but this was my first time dealing with many things back home and abroad. I went through so many external challenges in the city but Amanda and Antonella were really there to help! They actually care about your well being and as long as you show you care and are hard working they’re willing to do anything for you!

I would recommend this to everyone. GE truly paired me with the best roommates and employer. I learned so much from Anja while being support by Amanda and Antonella. This was a safe and encouraging space to grow and learn this summer.

This was an amazing program I wish I could experience all over again. I am so grateful for how accommodating Amanda and Antonella were before and during our arrival. I could not have asked for a better experience, internship, and community that was created through this program. I would recommend it to anyone!

Life changing! Learned so much about myself and different cultures

Meeting new people, having the freedom to do what I wanted to to. The people that helped us (Antonella and Amanda).

Everything was great no complaints besides maybe the heat !

The events were well organized and very fun. Everything was set up very well.

I had a really great time overall! I liked all the activities we were able to do, the included meal plan, the housing and the way that the program was structured. The restaurants part of the meal plan were all really great and I enjoyed all of them, really great authentic Italian food. The day trips/excursions and other tours and activities through the program were all well planned and I found were really good for having some basis on the history of Italy. While this trip was completely different than what I am used to, it was really great to learn about a different way of living and experience another culture.

Overall I had a great experience with the study abroad I enjoyed all the trips and experiences that were given to me along with the housing was impeccable and I couldn’t of asked for a better temporary home as well as I felt safe and that I was getting my moneys worth through the entire program

This was a truly amazing experience! From the get-go the staff is very attentive and works with you to ensure you get placed in an internship in the destination of your choice. I personally wanted an internship in the psychology field in Florence, Italy and although it was a bit tricky because of the language barrier, the team at AIFS Global worked hard to ensure I secured a position in my field. They also provided us with two weeks of language classes prior to the start of our internships to allow us to feel better prepared for the immersion. They also offered us several excursions within Florence such as a tour of Palazzo Vecchio and a boat ride along the Arno River, as well as in nearby cities such as a wine tour in Chianti, for no additional cost. The housing was great and was situated in a clean and safe area close to the main area of the city. The housing coordinator was also very attentive and made sure any and all issues were resolved in a very timely manner. All in all, I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who is looking for a safe way to travel while building a resume and make friends along the way.
