Aivela Avis 

This is my first smart ring, so I don't have a lot to compare with. I bought it in the kickstarter.
I've been wearing it regularly for several weeks now together with my Garmin Forerunner 255 and compared the results informally. Initially the Aivela ring was not tracking me well, but now it is pretty consistent with the Garmin watch. At least for sleep. It is still lacking behind on steps.
I've not used the touch control yet.
The app and firmware is updated often, and keeps getting better. I would like to see an API for accessing my data similarly to what Garmin has.

This smart ring is a life upgrade.
Since I started monitoring my sleep, I became more aware, and more conscious on my sleep hygiene.
Being subscription free is one of the most important benefits.
The women’s health feature is also a plus.
The smart ring is super fancy and everyone asks me where to buy it! Now is finally available.
Give it a chance.

I backed the AIVELA Ring Pro on Kickstarter in October as Backer #844 — one of the earliest supporters. This review covers the full journey, because I think potential buyers deserve the complete picture.

The difficult part:
The wait was long. From October to May with minimal direct communication about my specific order. When my ring finally arrived, the coating scratched and peeled in two spots within 48 hours — caused simply by putting my hand in a jacket pocket. The initial support responses were generic and dismissive, and at one point I went weeks without a reply after submitting detailed documentation.

Where things changed:
Something shifted. The team — particularly Peter, who took over my case — engaged seriously, professionally, and with genuine empathy. They acknowledged the communication gap, reviewed my full history, and ultimately offered a fair resolution: a Frosted Silver replacement ring without requiring me to return the original. No drama, no further back-and-forth. Just a decision made in good faith.

The product itself:
The hardware is genuinely impressive for a first mass production run. The app has come a long way — Update #14's full rebuild moved health data processing locally, improved sync reliability, and made the whole experience faster and more stable. I have also joined the beta testing program, which tells you something about where my confidence in this project stands today.

The bottom line:
AIVELA is not a perfect company — but they are a learning one. They made mistakes, they acknowledged them, and they course-corrected. That matters more to me than a flawless launch. If you are considering this product, go in with realistic expectations about a first-generation smart ring from a startup — but know that there is a real team behind it that cares about getting it right.

Four stars today. With continued improvements, five is very much on the table.

It took awhile to get the ring which was frustrating but that should be expected for kickstarter projects. The ring just keeps getting better and better with their biweekly app updates and firmware updates. The data is becoming more consistent with my Apple Watch. I bought it for sleep and it working great for that so I don’t need to wear an Apple Watch to sleep in.

Nu drie weken in huis. Verpakking en verzending prima. Installatie was makkelijk en koppeling met Apple health was zo geregeld.
Dat is wel belangrijk, want het interpreteren van de data in de app vind ik lastig. Gelukkig kan je een AI agent vooraf gedefinieerde vragen stellen. Daar komen goede tips uit.
De tweede lader was dead on arrival, maar werd binnen een week vervangen door de producent. Top!
Opladen na 5 a 6 dagen. Prima.
Wat ook erg fijn was, was dat je een setje pasringen kon gebruiken voor de juiste maatgeving.

I've had the ring since June, and the firmware and App keep getting better with the frequent updates. I can compare the ring's data with that of a Scanwatch2, and the differences are now minimal. So the Aivela ring does what it's supposed to, and if the developers keep up this momentum, the next updates will surely iron out the remaining minor issues. Once that's achieved, I'll give it all the stars.

I'm really happy with both the product and Aivela.

The project itself is very interesting and the hardware is great. Like any product early in its journey, it naturally needs updates and fixes, but they are released regularly.

Customer support is responsive and helpful, and they clearly have a solid roadmap for future growth. Definitely recommended!

The ring cannot tell the difference between sleep and being awake. Even in the middle of the day, it claims I took a nap while sitting up and working on my laptop. The sleep quality reported by the app has absolutely nothing to do with how tired I actually feel. Also, a ridiculous number of steps are missing.

Still haven’t received the ring and have since spent a month asking where it is and have received no response. Direct messages and messages on Kickstarter have done nothing to get a response. They have pretty much gone silent on Kickstarter. No responses to anyone for any questions. Keep your money and stay away from this company.

Pessimo prodotto. Dopo 3 aggiornamenti non si sincronizza con l'applicazione. Solo lingua inglese e cinese. Applicazione scarna con pochissime opzioni di visualizzazione. Gesture mediocri ch non funzionano correttamente. L'unico pregio è che è bello esteticamente e non di graffia facilmente dopo 3 mesi di utilizzo. Assolutamente sconsigliato.

It’s been more than half a year and I still haven’t received my ring. Throughout this period, I’ve been given multiple estimated delivery dates, none of which were met.

After requesting a refund, the Aivela team stopped responding to my messages entirely.

AIVELA ring is the biggest waste of money. The sleep, steps and activity tracking is nearly pointless.

Sleep is the worst one, “waking up” at points in the night but never going back to sleep. Steps are almost always 5k less than my Apple Watch tracks. Activity, my heart rate is out by 20-30bpm during any exercise.

Support acknowledge there’s issues with the tracking and uploads, but just say “hold on for further updates” but why ship such a beta product in masses when it can’t do the basic job.

I wanted to share my experience after receiving the ring.

I tested Aivela side-by-side with RingConn and Oura for multiple nights. Unfortunately, Aivela consistently reports very different sleep results, including much higher deep sleep and near-zero awake time compared to both devices.

The Touch & Gesture feature was one of the main reasons I backed the project, but accidental activations happen so frequently that I had to disable it completely.

Battery life in my usage is around 3–4 days, far from the advertised 7 days.

I contacted support and requested a refund. Support acknowledged ongoing heart-rate and sleep algorithm improvements and confirmed that Aivela is still behind more mature products such as RingConn and Oura. However, my refund request was denied.

I appreciate the team's responsiveness and I do not believe this is a scam. However, in its current state, the product feels much more like a beta product than a finished competitor to RingConn or Oura.

Ring came 6 months late service was poor.
Ring loses Bluetooth all the time and charges for only 2 days - completely waste of money…

I purchased an AIVELA RING and somehow managed to mess up with my email address - Jack from AIVELA support managed to correct my error and reinstate my account - thanks to Jack my ring is working perfectly once again. The ring itself is nice and comfortable to wear and I’m happy with the results.

Over promise and under deliver; customer service is a joke; and the measurements are not accurate at all. Avoid buying from them.

I contacted the provider to see if they had a larger size, but all they offer is 14 and below. I explained that the 14 would be too small for my fingers, specifically the index finger where it should be worn in order to use the gesture feature. The provider told me once I received the ring which was months later to try it on and if it didn’t work fit, to simply send them a photo of proof and I would get a refund. Sure enough that did not fit. As instructed I provided them proof with photos and was told that they would take the returns but I would have to pay for return shipping which is gonna cost me over $100. This is absolute nonsense given that I explained to them prior to shipping them to me they would not fit. Also, regardless of fit, the app is rudimentary at best. It does not offer even the basics of other competing health rings. I recommend that you steer clear of this one, as it is a total bust and given the number of alternatives out there, you’d be well served by going with any of them. I do not recommend this product!

Das bezahlte Zubehör fehlt komplett und auf Reklamation wird nicht eingegangen.

Synchronisieren funktioniert nur mit iPhone Geräte und nicht auf Android obwohl beworben.

Funktionen existieren nicht oder sind unbrauchbar.

Support reagiert nicht auf Reklamation.

Rückerstattung wird kategorisch abgelehnt.

Teilweise sind Ringe welche nach kurzer Zeit komplett versagen und Austausch ist eine Glückssache.

Erneut ein Kickstarter Fall.
