Average almost 1hr wait times to get in…

Average almost 1hr wait times to get in contact with anyone over the phone . Called each day and always same message of high volume of calls, average wait times 50mins. Very unreliable insurance, can't get a hold of anyone and no one has time to wait 50mins during a workday. Buying a new car and getting a hold of a representative to add it took more than 4 days of calls stuck in a long wait time. Allstate went downhill, their rates are not cheap either. Did Allstate get rid of all their staff for AI or something? If you can't even get a hold of a customer representative, I can't imagine how it is when you have an accident. Everyone better steer clear of this insurance.

BAIT AND SWITCH-

Jake Wang gave me a quote for car insurance, and I decided to take it. When I called back and was going to pay for the insurance, they said the price had increased 100 percent, saying the quote had expired in the space of less than a month???? -sounds like a total SCAM

Certainly the worst insurance company ever

Certainly the worst insurance company. We had allstate in the US for almost 40 years and no problem. They wrote a policy underarms that we were purchasing a home February 4. Had a problem with billing that we were notified about February 3. They said no problem, gave a list of reasons not to worry. Then informed us we did not have a policy on february 5th and we're canceling the plc and charging us $50. No negotiation no explanation. Yikes.

Very Poor Service with AllState

My name is Ioan Parvu, and I reside in Hamilton, Ontario. I currently have my home and two vehicles insured with Allstate Insurance.

On October 24, 2025, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident that resulted in my vehicle being declared a total loss. The claims process took approximately four weeks to complete, during which time I was without transportation. The delay in processing and issuing payment caused significant inconvenience.

Throughout the claims process, I experienced repeated communication issues. I was required to speak with multiple representatives and was frequently transferred between departments without clear guidance or resolution. This resulted in unnecessary delays and demonstrated a lack of coordination and efficiency in handling my claim.

I am dissatisfied with the overall timeliness, communication, and quality of service I received. As a long-standing customer with multiple policies, I expected a significantly higher standard of professionalism and customer care.

Based on my experience, I would caution other consumers to carefully consider alternative insurance providers. I would not recommend Allstate Insurance to others due to the delays and service issues I encountered. Current policyholders may also wish to review their options at renewal.

I am submitting this complaint to formally document my concerns and to request a review of the handling of my claim. I hope appropriate steps are taken to improve service standards and prevent similar experiences for other customers.

this company is full of liars and…

this company is full of liars and double talk, DO NOT use them, they do not acknowledge their mistake, and place the burden of proof on the client, to prove what you requested was ever done. This company is not worth doing business with, my parents were clients for over 30 years, and they were treated like absolute garbage, and told, that they did not submit proper documents, when the document and email, clearly has the dates on it. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company.

Allstate ITSELF, is Mayhem

Ignored emails, voicemails, to my agent, claims adjuster, the manager, a so-called 'escalation' process as well as the ombudsmen tells me that the toxic customer service is widespread and common practice at Allstate. All my communications with them have been cordial. I've even asked A.I. to change the tones of my email . BUYER BEWARE! RUN to the next insurance company even if you pay more.

Thank you for holding.

Have been with Allstate insurance now for the past 5 years. The customer service has gradually decreased over this time, while rates consistently rise, with each renewal.

The customer service line is always receiving higher than normal call volumes, with over an hour long wait or more, every time.

I have had agents who need to do whatever and say they will call back when they hear back from whoever they have submitted a request to... and they never do. So, the process starts over with new agents, until you find one who is able to solve the issue. And the issue here was just that we bought a new home and the closing dates had a 60-day gap between the two. It was like the first time this had happened ever. Bizarre.

Agents who email you documents and respond with "your welcome. I'm here to help anytime.", when you say thank you, then don't respond to follow up emails.

It's a truly strange company to deal with.

I am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my experience applying to Allstate Canada. Despite applying to a select few positions for which I was more than qualified based on the job descriptions, I was not even granted an interview. This was particularly frustrating as I took the time to tailor my applications, highlighting my relevant experience and skills.

What’s even more disheartening is that I received no valid reason or constructive feedback regarding why my application was overlooked. As a company that claims to value talent and diversity, this lack of transparency and fairness in the hiring process is very discouraging. It left me questioning whether applications are genuinely reviewed thoroughly or if the recruitment process is as inclusive and merit-based as it should be.

I hope Allstate Canada takes feedback like this seriously and improves its recruitment practices to be more transparent and respectful of candidates’ time and effort.

worst insurance company from my experience

At first, everything looked ok. But for many reasons, the company reviewed my profile and was not satisfied with the risk they took when accepting me as a a client for a house insurance. In 45 days, the sent me 2 billing modifications doubling my monthly fees. They told me it's because I have an old house. They knew the date beforehand so It is just a way of getting rid of troublesome customers or risky cases. If you a have an out of the ordinary profile, don't go for AllState you will regret it.

I have asked Peter to cancel my tenant…

I have asked Peter to cancel my tenant insurance in Feb but he hasn’t processed it and didn’t even try to contact me in a month. I was waiting as they always say it takes time and finally I called the office back after a month. Agent who talked to me over phone said she cannot process it back date unless I have to go through more steps which I denied. I would recommend not to buy any policies from this company. My one year experience is so bad. No customer service. No timely response. Expensive insurance.
