Always a delight insuring with Alpha Travel Insurance. Very detailed and an easy read on policies with outlined protection on any unexpected situations including medical cover, lost and stolen baggage, cancellations, reimbursements and the likes. They offer a full cover or cover to suit your pockets and needs. I've used them for a number of years and satisfied with their services (ie if a claim is ever required). My latest full cover was for a trip to stunning West Afric-exotic Cabo Verde🇨🇻🏖️💙🏕️🏜️ and taking a travel insurance policy with Alpha Travel Insurance was as uncomplicated as always. Always read through your policies and ensure it covers all you want in an emergency or unforeseen circumstances. To that end, I highly recommend ALPHA TRAVEL INSURANCE. Best wishes all! 🧡🥰Xx

Warning to motorcyclists, Alpha will not cover motorcyclists riding bikes over 125cc.
Dozens and dozens of pages, it’s buried in there somewhere.
This was confirmed by email in January 2026.
So don’t ride into Europe from the UK on your motorcycle unless you’re on a moped!

Dates mixup
I inadvertently quoted the previous week on my quote application so had to pay again while on holiday to cover me while I was there. On my return I contacted Alpha and they kindly refunded me the additional monies paid.

The website and application process has changed and in my opinion is not as customer friendly as previous time. I found the whole process slightly confusing and left unsure if I had the appropriate insurance.

Money Down the Drain.They Refused My Hurricane Claim
I will never give this company a penny of my money again — even if the insurance only cost one pence. I tried to make a claim after Hurricane Melissa hit while I was in Jamaica. My flight was rescheduled and I had to return home early due to the storm. Despite this, they refused my claim simply because I was staying with family instead of at a hotel.
This is absolutely unacceptable. When you buy travel insurance, you expect to be protected in an emergency — not denied on technicalities. Very disappointed. I will not be using them again.
