American Book Publisher

The truth American Book Publisher is a piece of S%^&. I published four books and it took two years to publish. I purchased a web site and they did a crappy job at that. The third audio was not complete and I canceled the fourth audio and asked them to credit my credit card. They e-mailed me they would but they dissapeared. I hate this company for taking advantage of me, since I was a rookie publishing books. The project manager I had two they lied. Even the CEO even promised and he lied. Don't go here do not publish with this company. Trust me.

I strongly caution anyone against using this company. I was SCAMMED OUT OF $1,000 by this site — they posed as a legitimate book publisher, took my payment, and never delivered any services. After reporting them, their site was removed for fraudulent activity. TRUST PILOT IS ALLOWING THIS SCAM AND OTHER FAKE PUBLSIHERS TO USE THIS AS A TRUSTED SOURCE BUT ITS NOT

They fabricated documents to my bank stating the work was finished but they soon figured out they altered the emails. Stay far away — do not trust them with your money or personal information.

"To explain, how the events in my book are used by me as an Author, I can explain that crime doesn't pay, and at this publisher, you won't find crime, that is not used by a 5 star publisher." "That is what this means, to understand what a publisher is and hope, anchors the soul, of the Author, you will find this at American Books Publisher."

I wanted to write a review about a company in New York and Chicago. I contacted them in 2023. So many issues it was ridiculous! Terrible Terrible!!! It’s now 2025 and FINALLY they published my book. But the first copy was FULL OF ERRORS!!! And they put it on Amazon before I even saw my book. No one answers the phone and when they finally do, they say hello and never the name of the company. You can email and leave messages until you are blue in the face. No one calls back 🙄they finally fixed the book after 2 years and I was promised copies of my book and 2 months later…I’m STILL waiting!!! Please don’t deal with this place. You’ll end up with false promises just to keep you keep your mind at ease but they don’t deliver. I’m still stressed over this company!!!!

I'm publishing four books with American Book Publisher. Two are complete, and they are working on my two last. When you work with American Book Publisher, you have to be patient and trust them. I found their communication, particularly in terms of project updates and timelines, was not up to par since this was the first time for me. When the two books were finally finished, they were amazing. Just be careful. They will try to sell you everything they have to offer, and it's expensive.

Don't fall for the good reviews, they are really misleading. It leads you to believe they provide good service, which they don't.

I really wanted it to work, but after over 6 months I gave up. They selected an account manager to work with me and he didn't even read my novel. Most of the material provide had 0 resemblance to my plot or my characters, so I had to do most of the work on my own. I complained several times, and nothing changed. On the other hand, they keep on trying to sell me other services even without delivering what was first agreed with. For example, they said they would like to submit my work for the Pulitzer prize and I would have to invest 500 dollars for that. However, the Pulitzer Prize only charges 75 dollars for entries.

Now I'm waiting for a refund, but they have stopped answering me.

Jan, 2025 - They are not replying to emails, phone calls or texts. When a company does that, it's a clear sign you should not hire their services.

American publishers promised quick turn around on editing and publishing my book. More than once a was told they dropped the ball. When the book finally made it on the shelf it was completely unedited. We had to have the book pulled and do the editing ourselves. Now we have learned
That the isbn number on the book is incorrect

After giving my initial review regarding being blocked from American Book Publisher's site, I was informed that the problem was a technical one. I apologize for any harm this caused. The rest of my review stands. I will say that Mike Bellingham did try to help late in the game. I do appreciate that.

If there was a -1, I would have given this experience that rating. DO NOT ENGAGE THESE PEOPLE. They did nothing they said they would, refused to send me books, tried to charge me repeatedly for things they originally said "were included" and when I protested and hired an outside promo company, they blocked me from all communications. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. RUN AWAY!

My wife's dream was to publish a book of her poems dating back from her childhood to present. Allen and his team made that dream come true. They made the whole process, from editing, formatting, correcting grammar and punctuation incredibly easy. Even publishing to Amazon and other book venders effortless for us. They were always there to answer our questions and kept us updated of the process. I highly recommend their service. They were fabulous and deserve more than 5 Stars! Can't thank them enough for making my wife's dream come true.

Gavin and his team have been wonderful! This was my first novel and I could not have asked for a better experience. From the first conversation about my book to the publishing, they have been dedicated to answering all my questions and concerns! I would highly recommend them and plan to use them again very soon!!

Update… They contacted me and I should receive my refund next week. Everyone is very friendly there and they try their best to help you with your book. They did redo it and I received a message from them that I’ll receive my refund:)

All I needed was to get my manuscript formatted and out for the beach crowd. My publisher was too busy, and wouldn't make a summer release. I read good things about ABP, I called Gavin. Not only did he format my manuscript, they did a line by line edit and made my deadline! Amazing group. I will have them edit and format my Independent publishers books!

Publishing, editing, cover design is excellent.
My editor went out oh his way to publish the book I want.
Mike Bellingham is a superstar who went out of his way to make my dream a reality.
Marketing costs are another matter. Excessive. But they are willing to work w a retired teacher. Cost is hefty.

In addition to their exceptional writing skills American Book Publisher also provided invaluable guidance throughout the publishing process. From formatting the manuscript to navigating the intricacies of self publishing their team was there every step of the way offering expert advice and support. Their wealth of knowledge and experience made what could have been a daunting process feel manageable and even enjoyable.

Hello there! I chose American Publishers due to their reasonable prices and their reputation for fast processes. The experience was fantastic and must say that I am beyond impressed with the book cover… they took everything I said and incorporated it beautifully into the cover… I am beyond satisfied and thank you all so very much!

Made my first time experience smooth and less stressful as it will have likely been for me to do alone. Thank you for all the helpful tips and everything you provided to help me with this new part of my journey

After a terrible experience with another publisher, American Book Publisher quickly proved to me that they are the company I want to continue my future book projects with! They quickly addressed my situation and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy every step of the way! Their level of customer service is that which is hard to come by these days. They were extremely attentive and personalized my entire experience! I am looking forward to working on future projects with them!

They helped me translate my book in English and French from Arabic and get it published on 250+ platforms 👍
