We heard about American Financing on the Glenn Beck show and my husband and I wanted to try to lower our interest rate. We had such a great experience with American Financing and John Hazel. They helped us lower our interest rate and our monthly mortgage and completed the process in just a few weeks.

Craig Gardner and team was excellent. Answered all my questions and worked hard to get over any hurdles encountered throughout the process.

We were fortunate to refinance our home with mortgage consultant Andrew Paulsen. He helped us through this process letting us know when and what should be expecting. His communications to us were timely and professional. I have never experienced such a smooth refinance and look forward to working with American Financing again if the need arises due to Andrew's customer service skills. This has been a nightmare from start and it is still not done. I had used this company several years ago and had great service NOT ANYMORE. I started this refi back in October. Told them right up front the appraisal had to be cleared and approved by land trust officer, no one listened. After 30 days I asked what was wrong but was told it was fine. Around 45 days got a message loan approved for closing ONLY on said day it was pushed back. This happened 3 times. I mean what does a processor do? The processor is supposed to make sure EVERYTHING is in order. Sorry doesn't cut it when you are constantly expecting loan to be completed. By the way my credit score was fine as was my income and accrued equity. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Craig Gardner is amazing great experience

My re-fi with American Financing went quite well despite some minor hiccups because of self induced financial parameters. In addition, one other thing must be mentioned: the associate I dealt with (Craig Gardner) was exceedingly helpful in aiding me in resolving those hiccups with the least complications & his efforts need to be mentioned.

Andrew was outstanding. The shining star in what is otherwise a not-so-fun process. I got a great interest rate and some grand advice.

He made it so easy on the website, and he and his staff are extremely prompt in responding to any questions. They are very honest and reasonable. My experience with John Hazel was wonderful. With each interaction from the initial conversation to the final paperwork he kept me informed and feeling at ease that I was in great hands that I could trust with one of my most expensive and near racking transactions. When he handled the transactions it was seamless, it was when others were involved things went sideways that John had to correct (Nicole T. & Mariah E. asking for documents I had already sent, and were in my file which they could not be bothered to look at).

I just wanted to brag on how seamless our refinancing experience was at American Financing, and more specifically Katie Byler. Me and my wife had a very complex financial situation which resulted in a disastrous situation with a former local lender that nearly kept us out of our beautiful house to begin with. Katie was laser focused, and truly has a servants heart. She was compassionate, and eased all of our concerns and near PTSD from our former situation. Even when we hit a hitch in the middle of our process, she quickly rectified it, and we closed on time. Everything she said as far as percentages and monies headed our way were exactly as promised. The craziest part, which we didn't know until later in our process, is that she had a terrible case of Covid on a day we needed her most, and she engaged in a lengthy call with us and her Supervisor (I'm sure bedside), and was so classy we had no idea the pain she later admitted to on that given day. You will be very lucky if you get to work with Katie!
