Shady solicitation practices
Shady solicitation practices. I made one post on my own social media account asking for recommendations on e-commerce hosting and AI agents for building websites. Within hours I started receiving unsolicited text messages from this company. I never signed up or agreed to this - I’d never even heard of this company until their name was revealed when I responded “stop” and the auto reply was “You are unsubscribed to texts from American Web Pioneers. No more messages will be sent.” And yet I continued to receive text messages from this company from several different phone numbers over the course of several days, each time replying STOP and getting the same auto response stating the company name. I do not have my personal phone number posted on my social media, and I did not consent to receiving messages outside of the social platform that I posted on. Because of this, I will never use this company’s services.
