[Completion Date] May 2012 (Global MBA)
Although it was a challenge to pursue this degree while working, it was overall a highly rewarding experience. I have summarized the pros and cons below in the hope that it will be helpful to those considering enrollment.
# Pros
1. Studying in English while working: Being able to study for an MBA entirely in English while continuing your professional career is a massive advantage.
2. Outstanding cost performance: Compared to traditional on-campus schools, the tuition is significantly more affordable.
3. A clearer understanding of an MBA: Naturally, the vague question of "What exactly is an MBA?" was completely resolved through this systematic learning process.
4. Gaining confidence: It was by no means an easy journey, but the hard work required to graduate has translated into a solid sense of self-confidence.
# Cons
1. Demanding schedule: The curriculum has almost no breaks. Studying continuously for 60 weeks was much harder than I had imagined.
2. Balancing work and making time: My weekends were entirely consumed by writing reports. Consequently, time for socializing and seeing friends inevitably had to be sacrificed.
# Conclusion
Between juggling my job and the packed schedule, there were many times when I felt like giving up. The reason I was able to make it to the very end was thanks to the support and mutual encouragement from my fellow cohort members. If you have the resolve to push through the hardships, this is a fantastic program that yields substantial returns and personal growth well worth the effort.
