Absolutely appalling service – avoid at all costs! They Cancel your insurance and dont tell you!
We cancelled our policy with Angelic Insurance after selling our house, expecting a refund on our prepaid premiums — over $1,000. That was months ago, and we’re still waiting.
Since then, we’ve been stuck in a frustrating loop:
Every call goes to a call centre where a representative promises someone will get back to us — no one ever does.
We’ve sent numerous emails and received no response. The total lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable.
This is not just poor service — it feels like we’re being ignored and denied money we’re rightfully owed. We've now escalated the matter to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).
Angelic Insurance has demonstrated zero integrity or customer care. If you value your time and money — go elsewhere.
UPDATE - It got worse!! finally i was contacted to be told, they cancelled our insurance months ago!! We paid an annual premium and have all the paperwork, certificate, bank receipts, emails and corrospondence as proof. We thought we were fully insured, we had to be for the banks. This was the first we had heard. There wasn’t one letter, email or call EVER to inform us they cancelled our cover. If anything had happened we would have been over $1m in the hole and ruined our lives.
Just dont do it, their communication, processes and documentation is abhorrent, luckily we got away with nothing happening, never ever ever again... always pay monthly and go with a well known insurer.
