1. You have something against A/C and love to suction cup to your seat from all the sweat.
2. If you like being told things that never happen, aka (work orders). Almost like that Christmas gift you wanted as a kid and never got.
3. If you like to park so far away from your apartment that you have to call an Uber just to get home. Kind of like when you go to the bar and have to leave your car because you're so out of it.
4. Maybe you're one of those people that just like to fight the world on a daily basis. Well, here is your chance to be home and meet with the same energy.
5. If you like living where you can smell the fresh garbage in the morning, it's overflowing with greatness.
6. Loud music, people that don't know how to talk normal and have to hear themselves yelling, and animal feces everywhere you walk.
My story: Since I have moved in, I have had no AC. After complaining so much, they got tired of it. Maintenance came with a window unit small enough to fit in my car's glove box. I won't speak on it ALMOST blowing out cold air, but it has a little more ambient temperature than the atmosphere, so I guess that's a plus. I was told I would get a garage but still have yet to receive one. Then overcharged on rent, like a lot. I can't get management to commit to a time to do anything, but when they want access to my unit when I am in a meeting since I work from home, I ask them what happened to when it was scheduled (2 days ago) and tell them I am in a meeting and they can come back. I get fined $100 plus then told that it will be a violation on my lease. What happened to accountability when someone is representing a company and says something and never delivers (like my garage i still dont have 4months later)? Then wants you to do as they say when they say it. Like, WTF have you done for me in the last several months? Now I dont even get a call back from there corporate office because they to say whatever they have to to not do anything.

apartments.com worse platform ever for Landlords
Zero Stars – An Absolute Joke of a Platform in 2026. Stay Far Away.As a landlord, I have wasted far too much time and money on Apartments.com's laughably backwards and outdated rental advertising platform. Quite frankly, their service is an absolute joke. This system is stuck in the Stone Age. Instead of allowing modern, instant communication like every competent platform in 2026, they force landlords to send pathetic “remail” inquiries that take days to get any response — if you even get one at all. On top of that, their confusing, convoluted, and deliberately opaque pricing models seem designed specifically to mislead and frustrate everyone involved. It’s pure amateur hour.Meanwhile, Zillow actually operates like a professional company in the 21st century. Their platform is fast, clean, efficient, and transparent. Renters can reach landlords quickly, pricing is clear upfront, and qualified tenants don’t vanish into thin air because the system is too slow and stupid to keep up.Because Apartments.com is truly terrible, I would rather let my apartments sit completely vacant — losing thousands of dollars in rent every single month — than continue doing business with such a backwards, incompetent, and outdated company. That fact alone should tell you exactly how bad their service has become.Their team should be deeply embarrassed. While the rest of the industry has moved forward, Apartments.com is still dragging landlords through an inefficient, user-hostile nightmare. It’s obvious they have no clue how the modern rental market actually works.Fix your broken inquiry system immediately. Make your pricing transparent and honest instead of hiding behind convoluted nonsense. Stop wasting everyone’s valuable time with this archaic garbage. Until you finally drag yourselves into the current century, more and more landlords like me will simply walk away and never look back.Never again. Save your money and your sanity — go to Zillow or anywhere else.

I recently experienced a horrible…
From my experience, the information presented on this company’s website does not appear to be accurate. The reviews seem heavily curated and don’t reflect the actual living environment residents may encounter after moving in. Properties are presented as safe and well-maintained, but the reality can be very different.
This lack of transparency is concerning and potentially misleading for prospective renters who rely on these platforms to make informed decisions. Allowing inaccurate or filtered reviews to shape public perception raises serious concerns about fairness and accountability. I believe situations like this deserve closer oversight to protect renters. ⚠️🏠

Apartments.com is a waste of time and money in my experience. They over promised and under delivered. Very few responses and even those few responses were a waste of time. Save your money and use their competitor for far better results.

Dump
Ledford at Hamilton Place, Chattanooga, TN., was recently bought out, and it has steadily gone downhill. The buildings are old, moldy, roach infested, smelly, damp, and noisy. When you don't hear the music blasting from cars in the parking lot at 2 a.m., you hear the never ending LOUD noise of semi trucks roaring past on the expressway, which is right next to the apartments. The smell of weed is constant, pouring through the vents. When management is informed, they could care less. The ceilings are deteriorating, the bathroom lights are rusty, the inside of the kitchen cabinets are literally rotting away. The windows are constantly wet and mildewy. The exterior hallways are cluttered with junk and trash bags. Many of the back patios look like dumpsters. Did I mention that homeless people sleep in the laundry room at night, and leave in the morning before the new manager arrives? The glossy photos you see on their website are fake. Drive by this DUMP and see for yourself how it really looks!

If you get owners that are slum, this company won't help you.
Don't ever rent from the Hollis s. They will not fix the already rigged things in the house that were like that when you moved in. And then charge YOU to fix it. Including if the plumbing flooded the house and damaged your property. Currently in the process of getting back almost 4500 dollars from them . With a lawyer.
They just straight up stole the 2175 of last months rent they were overpaid and then sent me a bill for 7k. Paying for everything that was already wrong with the house. I'm safe bc I have a killer layer and all my documents. ..but. I did t want another family to go into business with them thinking they aren't "tricky" people. When Indeed they are.
This sight drafted 4500 dollars from my account AFTER handing the owners 7600 cash to move in . Their answer was we can't undo it. So I had to report it unauthorized by my bank which caused me not to be able to pay thru the app. So it cost me an extra 30$ to wire them money on top of it.
All while living in a broken, flooded mold infected house. I reccomend doing your research. On this app specifically. The hollis situation thing? Ide chose a different landlord. I could upload all 167 pages of documentation and pictures here. But I don't think there is space.
God speed fellow renters. It's rough out here

Looking for an apartment
Looking for an apartment. Made me click through a dozen pages and then said will show me one at a time for me to vote yes or no. Like it's a dating site. Problem was I couldn't actually see any of the places they showed me cause there is some bug or it's designed for a specific phone maybe and I'm on a laptop.
The falls dump
The office area is nice, but open the door and walk down the hall. Holes in walls, smells of garbage. Mice in walls and ceiling. Noise is terrible.. I can tell if my neighbor is a man or a woman going to the bathroom. The pm is worthless, this is the wrong occupation for her, she does not like people.
Good luck if you decide to use Apartments.com!
I primarily used this management portal to manage my property and to ensure that my tenants and I could handle monthly rent payments and related documents smoothly. Overall, the platform worked reasonably well, but it suffers from recurring and serious technical glitches.
On several occasions, my property disappeared entirely from the system, making it impossible to view current or past rent payments. When this happens, customer support is extremely slow to respond. Even when they do reply, they typically promise that the issue will be resolved shortly, but it often is not. Support is also unavailable during weekends and holidays, which is particularly problematic when issues are time-sensitive.
I gave the platform multiple opportunities to demonstrate reliability, but these problems persisted. As a result, I decided to move to another rental management platform with a proven track record.
Good luck if you decide to use Apartments.com.
A scam operation
Apartments.com is a reincarnation of Westside Rentals. The latter was free to landlords. Now, apartments.com charges you $349 to list a vacancy. Their customer support is a total joke, and they are desperate for business, with staff that use pressure tactics for you to pay this ridiculous amount to list a single vacancy, and only for 30 days! I suspect they will be out of business at this rate. Do yourself a favor and list with Zilllow or better yet, Craigslist. Both of these are free and Craigslist is very user friendly and you can write anything you want.

employee "quay" more interested in soothing his ego than helping customers
it's an okay service for collecting rent. it doesn't always function as it should. i added a bill for a tenant and the tenant couldn't see it. "quay" in customer support said tenant should be sure she knows what her email address is. what a ludicrous thing to say. when i wrote back and told him that wasn't helpful, he thought he should scold me, a paying customer. fire "quay" and hire people who understand the role of, and relationship between, business representatives and customers. i may find a different way to collect rent because "quay" has demonstrated what kind of company this is and what they think of their customers and it isn't good.
