I bought a set of Aramith stone pool…
I bought a set of Aramith stone pool balls in June of 2022 and It wasn’t until I started using them that I noticed what looked like floors in the detailing of the balls
So I contacted the supplier to be told that I had passed the 30 day money back guarantee the sales guy looked at similar sets and sent me images of them they were all like that
So I contacted the manufacturer in Belgium the customer service had an arrogance about them that made it clear that there balls were the best and that was that. Unfortunately not all Aramith balls are the same quality
The balls I had purchased were the add on range this I think is another way of saying budget range using printed (technology) that was not possible to make a seamless covering
I looked at the Aramith website and had this been made clear to me I would have had the option of saving up and purchasing the top of the range set
There is no argument that the stone balls play as you would expect from a renown company of repute
The customer service was none existent as at first they would not answer my emails and when I advised them that I would be making a claim against them through the courts did I get a response
I was put in touch with the uk rep for Aramith he immediately arrange to have a phone call with me
We discussed the the circumstances and he agreed to send a set of the super Aramith pro balls
At this point I should have asked for the conversation to be finalised in the shape of an email
I month later a set was sent from Belgium, a set not the agreed set I contacted the customer service and got no response
When I spoke to the uk rep he told me that they thought they had done enough and would not consider anything else
They stopped responding to my emails so I made a claim against them through the uk courts
It took several months for the papers to come to me
When I received them I copied the top pages of the forms that I would eventually have to send by post and sent them to Aramith I soon got a response from one of the top guys
He was very clear that Aramith would dispute the claim in court I told him that all I wanted was the agreed set of ball exchanged for the balls they sent
Being profit centric he soon agreed to send the agreed set once I had returned the balls wrongly sent
I Paid the postage and sent the balls and enclosed the court documents when the management new I had sent the balls and they were at customs in Belgium the boss tried the (possession is nine tenths of the law trick ) he told me that if the court order was activated they would not send the ball so breaking the agreement
They said that I had broken the agreement, but in fact the court order was already in motion
They pleaded ignorance asking me for advice not knowing what the court process was in the uk and wanted assurances that the court order could be withdrawn they said I could not withdraw a court order
So basically every trick attempted
I told them the order stands until I received the balls that were agreed
Couple of days later they turned up and I then sent the discontinuance form to the courts
A couple more points to make
I understand the warrantee which in my opinion means if you roll the ball along the cloth the warrantee is fine , if however the ball leaves the table and hits a solid floor and chips, its deemed as not normal use , I also see that to a point
if Aramith would sell spares which they don’t
So one ball leaves the table and gets damaged then you are out of luck
Going forward Aramith could have described there add on products in more detail like the top of the range balls
they could also uphold the uk rep requested,
and sell spares
Over a year to come to a conclusion and 60 emails
So if you have an issue with a prestige company that are to arrogant deal with your complaint fairly
a small claims is the way to go as they won’t take it seriously until then
