ARS/Rescue Rooter - Dallas Avis 

I will never use the plumbing service again. Was charged over $1500 to replace a plain jane toilet and couldn't even get a cover for the tank because they didn't have one that fit under the counter that was over the area where the toilet was. Giant RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deceptive. Well mannered technician sharing some information, but not all, determined that my blower needed to be replaced because there was oil on the outside and my AC was not cooling as quickly as he thought appropriate. He found my compressor was failing and had explanations. 6K repair or system replacement? Makes sense to consider this way. A sales rep showed up same day proposing three costly options with a myriad of financing options. Each representative talked about their Christian relationship with God and commitment to Service. 20K to 15K.
the following day 5Star, a Rowlett, TX local HVAC with great reviews showed up. He found that the MFD capacitor needed to be replaced and did for a reasonable price. He explained that after 18 years there might be some oil on the outside of the blower.He found that my condenser was performing well within tolerances, no risk of imminent system failure. 5 Star asked me why ARS/Home Depot did not replace the capacitor as well as the filter. I had five of them in the wrappers. I wondered. Private Equity/Venture capitalization driving high costs and PROFITS OVER PEOPLE corporate religion. What would Jesus say, Jonathan and Kevin?
Go with 5 Star and stay away from pirates. Thanks for having integrity and telling it straight, Pedro.

Stay away from this place.
I contacted them through Home Depot and made a complaint 8/17 and still haven’t received my diagnostic refund.
This is a horror nightmare.

It isn't the control board which the home
Depo contractor (Ars) was saying and trying to get me to pay 1900.00 ( adding discounts)
My AC person said the problem is the blower total cost for repairs 540.00.
I would like you to forward this email to your manager and tell them I want a full refund on the Homedepo contractor who came out to my house past Saturday.

On time, had proper tools, explained all and was the best plumber we have had in a long time.

After the original call for a clogged drain and the outcome , the expanded inspection process was great. Jonathan, the supervisory tech, showed us the extent of the blockage, pinpointed the location, and gave us the estimate of the remediation. We decided to go ahead with the recommendation and he set everything in motion. The workers were great and the work was great, top notch, completed on time, and performance was outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone given the extent of the job that was needed to correct the problem.

They were friendly and professional and fixed our issues

It is my position that the salesperson demonstrated a clear lack of competence and professionalism throughout the process. Critical information regarding system specifications, installation requirements, and performance expectations was either inaccurately presented or omitted entirely. This resulted in a transaction that did not align with the needs of the homeowner or the representations made at the time of sale.

Furthermore, the salesperson appeared primarily motivated by financial gain rather than the best interests of the client. There was little to no effort made to ensure that the recommended system was appropriate, properly explained, or supported by transparent and accurate documentation. Questions were inadequately addressed, and follow-through on commitments was lacking.

Such conduct raises serious concerns regarding misrepresentation, potential negligence, and failure to meet reasonable industry standards of care and ethical sales practices. Homeowners rely on HVAC professionals for informed guidance, and this level of service falls significantly short of acceptable expectations.

This review is submitted in good faith and reflects my honest assessment of the experience. I strongly advise that corrective action, including additional training, oversight, or review of sales practices, be considered to prevent similar occurrences in the future. I’m still dealing with a resolution. Cost is off the chart.
