My daughter has studied the Level 2 Art and Design course and enjoyed the quality of the course as well as the professionalism of the teaching she has received. It is second to none and she’s so grateful (we both are) for the service, care and attention she has received (particularly in relation to her neurodiverse requirements and how the course has been considerate of these), Jemma Graham has been a magnificent support in this and many other regards. My daughter is also now studying the Level 3 Interior Design course and has experienced the same quality! Thank you so much OCAD for being such an important part of my daughter’s education; highly recommended!

My daughter has just started her diploma in interior design with OCAD, and she is loving it. The guidance is clear, projects are invigorating, and tutor support is good. She can choose how she approaches assignments, which is really refreshing.

The tutor is absolutely not helpful at all. My daughter was very excited to do a particular skill builder. She asked multiple times how she was doing and uploading it. Every time she was met with the same infuriating response, have you watched the videos? Have you watched the videos? Have you watched the videos? She had! She just needed specific feedback back on what she had done and what she needed to improve. Maybe something positive about It too. It has absolutely knocked her confidence and she now says she is terrible at art (she is not)and is so behind because I can't get her to have any enthusiasm about it at all. I am very concerned we won't get finished in time and I will have wasted all that money

My daughter the art level 3 foundation course costing £3k, completed last year but still have not received a physical certificate of evidence. Have tried contacting them over the past year but keep getting fobbed off. Looking to report them to trading standards.

I studied Photography level 2, and then followed on with level 3, so GCSE & A-Level equivalents at OCAD during the years 2025/26 after finding myself out of work and semi-retired. I had no experience of using a camera other than point-and-shoot mobile phone but had an 18 year old DSLR camera in my possession which I never knew how to use, so decided I would learn how to use it by enrolling at OCAD. The course was so much more than I expected. I learnt how to use every feature of my DSLR camera to full effect which was my expectation, but further to this, I learnt about the industry of photography, how photography is an art form, studied historical and contemporary photographers and learnt how to create art by painting light with my camera through a series of lessons with creative projects that would push my knowledge of photography from zero to I would say semi-professional. The online, remote, and flexible way of learning suited my lifestyle, and nearly all the projects allow you to be creative in your own way, producing results that not only satisfy the technical criteria of passing the course but provide a real sense of you becoming an artist and finding your own style. The tutor was always there for me via online chats providing constructive criticism and recommendations for improving my work. I leave OCAD with a great sense of achievement and fully recommend the course to others. One tip I would give is you certainly need a DSLR camera to make the most of this course, but it can be a really cheap second-hand one and then this leaves you with additional money to buy extra equipment like lenses, filters, tripod, cable releases etc. that will really help you be creative, learn and deliver some nice results. I’m a happy customer.

I am about to finish my Level 2 Photography course and it's been excellent. I had the opportunity to learn a lot about how to use the camera in manual mode through a lot of creative projects. I also learnt a lot about lighting and composition. The tutor is super knowledgeable and provides really helpful feedback. An excellent course :)

My daughter did the design foundation course part time over two years. School was horrendous for her so the chance to study design at home and gain qualifications was brilliant. The course gave her a purpose and allowed her to explore her creativity freely without the harshness of school. She did the course instead of A levels , and having had another daughter who did creative A levels the foundation course was more enjoyable but still earned UCAS points.
My daughter is off to uni now to study fashion , something we never thought possible after the failings of traditional education. OCAD gave her the confidence and opportunity to believe in herself again. The course opened up a wider experience than she would have had with traditional A levels. She does not have to do a foundation year after a levels as she already has one.
The tutor was amazing very supportive and very knowledeable. There is admin to do but the tutor helped with any questions.

I’m enrolled in the OCAD Level 2 Photography course and I’m really enjoying it. The lessons are well structured and inspiring and I learn something new every week. The teacher is professional, knowledgeable and truly cares about each student’s progress.

Whenever we submit work, we receive feedback and he answers questions quickly. This constant feedback is very helpful and keeps me motivated to improve my photography skills.

Overall, it’s been a great experience and I’m looking forward to completing the course.

I recently completed the course and was thoroughly impressed by the diverse range of art mediums we delved into. The teachers and mentors were exceptionally encouraging and warmly inviting. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone interested in pursuing an online art class!

My experience of this course has truly been amazing so far. As someone who has never really got on well with school, this course and my teacher Jemma have really helped me fall in love with education again. If you are someone who wants the opportunity to be authentic to yourself and learn so many incredible things, then I definitely recommend this course!

During my Level 2 Photography course, I was fortunate to have an excellent tutor who was both encouraging and insightful. As a home-educated student preparing for GCSEs, I struggled to find many opportunities to explore creative arts. Fortunately, OCAD offered a diverse selection, allowing me to pick a path that perfectly matched my interests. I'm eager to continue my educational journey with OCAD moving forward.

The OCAD Level 2 course in Art and Design has worked out very well for my homeschooled son. The assignments are clear and consistent and feedback is given very quickly. My son is now in the second year of the course and has found it easy to carry over skills learnt in the first year whilst pursuing his independent study.
