The engineer Jason Goldberg and his assistant installed my new car charger this morning. They explained the whole process to my wife and I before commencing and we were most impressed with the results. Very professional and helpful service.

Really nice guy and did everything that we wanted and more. Put the cable as low as possible round the outside, so it can be covered and not noticeable.
Also cut in around my gate, that I wasn't expecting.

New EV charger fitted today by Dan.He was very professional and courteous and took time to explain the installation process.He fully explained the features of the Ohme app prior to departing.

Really disappointing. You have to supply endless photos, floor plans and details around your set-up, after which they send you an invoice which you need to pay upfront before you get an installation date. There’s no consultation around the installation, i.e. where the cables run to and from, whether underground or overground etc. You just get the invoice.

So you pay the invoice, and they then give you an installation date. The first one they had was in about 3 weeks time. My wife arranged to have the day off work for that day, as they have that really unhelpful procedure of ‘the installer will be with you between 8am and 4pm’ arrangement, so it’s very difficult to plan your day around it. Someone just had to be in.

Come the day itself I got a call late morning with a generic and insincere ‘family emergency’ excuse on behalf of the installer, and an offer to re-arrange for the next earliest slot on May 5, so another 2.5 weeks wait. That’s just not good enough, and doesn’t really acknowledge the inconvenience of wasting someone’s day. Nothing that could be mistaken for a sense of urgency or a need to adhere to timescales that they and the customer have already agreed to and paid in advance for.

If you’re going to ask customers to pay reasonable sums upfront then it needs to be better. A lot better.

Excellent service from start to finish. Great communication, professional service. Dan was amazing, really polite and friendly, incredibly professional, communicated clearly and worked well, leaving the place tidy when he was done. Would definitely recommend Dan and Ascent Energy Services.

Ryan, with Owen shadowing him, did a great job. Efficient, quick, tidy and friendly giving good information along the way. We are very new to EVs, so the technology involved is mind-blowing for a couple of oldies.
Ascent kept us up to date with timings, along with ohme.
Unfortunately a problem with the power coming into the property, Ryan contacted DNO, north west electric, so awaiting action from them. Obviously we don't understand the tech involved, so this was excellent as Ryan could explain to them the issue.

The 2 engineers were very professional and polite. Workmanship was at the highest standard. Thank you Jason Goldberg.

Jason and his colleague came to install my EV charger and the whole process was excellent. Neat cables and he listened to where I wanted the EV charger to be installed. His electrical knowledge is first class and he explained everything really clearly to me. Wouldn’t hesitate to use Jason again thank you so much ☺️

Excellent service. Dan messaged the night before the install to inform me of his expected arrival time. On the day of the install he arrived punctually and double checked my house’s electrical setup and the desired location for the Cord EV charger to be installed and explained about the additional fuse board he would be installing (as the one in the house was insufficient for the power requirements of the charger). He explained what he needed to do and basically just got on with it. Once the installation was complete Dan talked me though the app and explained how the EV charger, RFID tags and its safety features work and left me to it. Really friendly chap and overall a tidy and professional installation. Very pleased! Cheers!

Came out in two weeks from application. A truly great experience from the electrician Dan, who made sure I understood everything made sure I was happy with where the charger was going to be placed, a fuse blown whilst testing so he replaced free of charge and tidied up everywhere better than it was. Then he explained the app perfectly, would highly recommend them for your work.
