We’ve had the pleasure of arranging some dog grooming sessions with Janine from Awesome Pawz for our anxious cockapoo.
Janine is always brilliantly carrying out her job all the way through, with a deep understanding of a behaviour of alert, worrying and restless doggies, which can become dangerous if handled by the wrong hands. With a niche knowledge and her desire to learn even more, Janine provides a broad spectrum of services for a dog’s owners, and always is happy to help and advise on any issue or question about your pooch.
Janine is always polite, and in time. Sometimes, it’s not easy to book a slot due to a high demand for Janine, but that’s understandable! Wishing all the best to this small business from your returning customers❤️

Absolutely amazing with my toy poodles. Pet sitting is 5 star. Cates so much for them.
Best groom they have both ever had and we have been to a few(as I’m a fussy dog mama).
She even cleans their teeth, even the vet commented on how good they were cleaned.

Janine is great! She takes her time with your pooch and is very careful and cautious. My dog is a bit of a nightmare when it comes to being groomed and it’s amazing to know there are people like Janine out there. When it comes to her, I know my dog is in safe hands. 10/10 would recommend.

Janine at Awesome Pawz is an amazing person and dog groomer. She takes time to get to know you and your fur babies and has wonderful interaction throughout. Very professional and full of advice. Highly recommend.

I got in contact with Janine after my Labrador had a bad experience at a groomers. Jess was very nervous when Janine came to our home for the first time. It took over an hour and a half for Jess to allow her to brush her. Janine was very patient with her. Can't recommend Janine enough, she's amazing at her job and is now a much loved and respected lady. Jess adores her.

Janine is the only groomer that has took the time to come to my home to groom my dog which has high anxiety… Janine spent nearly 4hrs gaining Izzys trust & we did get her groomed 👏👏Highly recommend Janine 🐾

I am very very wary about who I trust with my babies. They’ve never had their claws cut for this exact reason because you see all the horror stories, and I was just too anxious. But the time come where the dogs nails needed a cut, it was hurting them so I bit the bullet and I searched the internet for someone who deals with nervous/anxious rescues & someone recommended Janine. I was drawn to her instantly when she wasn’t dismissive about my condition and even said she knows a little bit of sign to communicate with me, she just did that little bit extra that she doesn’t have to do, but which made me respect her a lot more. I struggle a lot with people talking to the person with me rather than me, even though I can completely understand what your saying. Janine didn’t do this, she spoke directly to me, and waited for me to respond on my app. Any questions/queries I had about my dogs she happily would answer. She stayed for hours with the dogs gaining theirs and my trust, being really understanding and patient with them but not just them, me. I am wheelchair bound and mute and she took the time to allow me to say what I was saying through my app, without being judgmental, without looking at the clock, without rushing me. She was gentle, and amazing with my pooches, she spent time & effort grooming the dogs properly but also making sure they didn’t fear her. She was truly magical. I was so scared of how my dogs would react because they don’t trust easy, and one dog absolutely hates water and they both hate the hair dryer, and although we had our hurdles she reassured the dogs the whole way, and we got through it all. Janine is like magic. I’m so glad I chose to trust her with my babies. And I have to add, after sadly losing a loved one recently, Janine STILL came out and pampered my pooches, she’s honestly incredible! They are all clean, had their nails cut, and been deshedded (I honestly couldn’t believe how much hair came off them🙈) but they are now ready to go camping after being pampered. They are gleaming and have shiny coats, and most of all, happy. I’m glad we’ve found a groomer for my babies! Thank you so so much Janine🐶❤️
