Ba gave me vouchers with which I booked…

Ba gave me vouchers with which I booked flights then cancelled the rebooked flights now only offering me vouchers I’ve waited patiently on phone for ages passed from one extension to the next told to put in a written complaint,unable to rebook because of the constantly changing travel restrictions leaves me totally frustrated with this company who refuse to offer me a cash refund for monies I paid in good faith for flights in 2019/20

No refund when cancelling within 24 hours as stated on website

I was uncertain of booking, but noticed on the website that within 24 hours a refund was possible.
I cancelled 9 hours later, but could only get a voucher, I could find nowhere to ask for a refund.
They do not answere on the phone.
Numerous letters later I find I must resort to the small claims court.

Can it get any worse

This must be the worst airline ever! Of the 4 flights I have booked in the last 6 months, all have been canceled completely or the times altered. Although they say you can change online that is not true. It takes literally hours to get through at all, and then they transfer you and there is another long wait. All the time you have to listen to drivel aimed at getting you to spend more money with them. Someone needs to tell them that they need to improve their system or they will soon have no customers left. It is so customer-unfriendly. Fells like one is punished for daring to do business with them.

Avoid at all costs

Literally impossible to speak to anybody about your holiday. The "Manage my booking" option online does not work and says you have to call. The phone lines go dead as they have "much higher calls than normal" which is untrue as I have been trying for weeks and I get the same message. The chatbot is completely useless and there is no way to chat to an actual person. I am at a genuine loss as to what to do. Avoid BA at all costs.

Unsatisfactory Service

My honest advice would be to steer clear from BA unless you like to become disappointed and frustrated. Today, I spent numerous hours trying to contact their customer services and in the middle of several conversations the line kept dropping off wasting my valuable time. I had to speak with someone as I was advised to in order to use an eVoucher that was issued to me and could not use on the on-line system. As an alternative, I also tried the on-line chat only to keep receiving the response ''Unfortunately, there are no agents available at the moment.... ''. Sadly, this is extremely unsatisfactory stuff for an airline that was once claiming to be the world's greatest.

Impossible to speak to anyone

Impossible to speak to anyone. I am flying to Crete next week and wanted to know if the earthquake would affect my holiday. After 50minutes I spoke to someone in holidays who hadn’t heard about the quake. If their press sept had put out a release on the web site then that would have been good but I fear they are all on a BA holiday along with half the company. When will BA understand that customers are important and do something about communication. The tel number for customer services is answered with a message which says we cannot talk to you at present phone back later and later etc. Rubbish

BA are a disgrace to the UK airline industry

BA seem to have become a dishonest, thieving company with a dysfunctional web site and a customer service disfunction.
We booked flights to Iceland in December using part vouchers and part cash; for some inexplicable reason BA immediately returned the cash element! It was only when they cancelled one of the flights that we discovered that we did not have issued tickets. I spoke to them, after more than one hour of waiting for a reply, and gave my credit card details so that they could take the missing payment. I was told that they would issue the tickets within 5 to 10 working days. Nothing happened! Some 10 calls and several e-mails later we there 2 days away from flying and still no tickets!
I call BA yet again only to be told that they had refunded our tickets - one search with my credit card company revealed no payment! They insisted that the only way we could fly (and by now we had £1000's of non-refundable hotel and car hire bookings) was to buy new tickets. They said it would be at the old price and then went on to charge us about £40 more than the total value of the vouchers and cash element. I could do nothing but pay!
I immediately wrote an e-mail and needless to say some 3 weeks later I am still waiting for a reply.
BA are under staffed, have a dysfunctional web site that does not do the things they claim it will do, they are virtually impossible to reach by telephone and when you do get through they effectively lie to appease you. BA have become the worst airline in the UK and No one should ever use them if you want trouble free flights.
PS they cancel your flights at short notice when they do not have enough people on the plane and offer rubbish alternatives!
All in all they are a disgrace to the UK's airline industry.

Don't accept their vouchers, get cash

I wish I had read trustpilot reviews before I booked my flights to Barcelona last September.
When the flight was cancelled I was only offered a voucher for what I paid, I have since found out that I should have been given an option to receive a refund, so I contacted BA Customer relations, what a misnomer.
They have proved to be most unhelpful, toeing the party line that once a voucher has been accepted a refund is not available, even though they never offered a refund when the flight was cancelled.
I thought that a company with the name British Airways would offer a sterling customer service, but I was wrong, this company does not listen to or help its customers, I was fobbed off every time, as far as I am concerned they have stolen my money as it is most unlikely that I will use their useless vouchers to fly with them as I have totally lost trust in British Airways.

If you book a flight for Spain with BA you stand a good chance of flying with VUELING which is also IAG. VUELING is just about the worst airline in Europe.
At the moment VUELING is destroying the BA brand and reputation. If you use BA have a look at the reviews for VUELING.I had the worst flying experience of my life flying from ALICANTE to GATWICK on 25/08/21 with VUELING.The flight was booked via BA website. IAG should be ashamed.

Unbelievably slack

Unbelievable, as Silver member and flown with them for years, they’ve now become this dreadful unresponsive lot. Call them for some information and all they tell you is how important I am to them but their agents are busy!!! One hour waiting then cut off. BA you now hold bottom position in UK airlines. What a sad exit for a once good and proud company, now part of the UK’s withdrawal from international business

BA customer service issues

I am astounded how BA can still attract any customers given the appalling level of customer service! I have been attempting to contact them for days by phone or live chat and still been unsuccessful. I’m sure the staff are doing the best they can but BA need to get their act together and recruit some more staff. This is not a new problem, it looks like it’s been ongoing for over a year so no excuse.

BA Highlifeshop food missing from order

Eurotraveller class only includes a very small bottle of water and a snack (crisps in our case), so we ordered three food bundles via the BA Highlifeshop for our outward and return journeys. On the return flight, one sandwich was missing. We shared the remaining two. We were only refunded the price of the sandwich. Not being aware that crisps would be supplied, we had six packets of crisps and two sandwiches between us. We thought we would get a standard bottle of water. Would have ordered water instead of juice if we had known. Would not use again. Food outlets were open at Heathrow and were cheaper with much more choice.

Sale does not exist

trying to book flights on the BA sale. as far as i can tell there is no discount at all, and in fact the prices are significantly higher than the same flights last year. presumably trying to make their money back. price gouging dressed up as a discount. despicable.

Don’t waste your money cause the chances of your flight actually taking off are pretty slim...my girlfriend came over from Thailand for 6 months and in that time they canceled her flight at least 5 or 6 times and moved the dates apart from the last cancellation which I had to ring in about and the only available flight was 2 days after her visa runs out but they couldn’t guarantee that the flight would fly...so I had to cancel and rebook with another airline which cost me £675 one way and I’m still waiting for my refund from BA which is only going to be approx £216 considering I paid £553.16 return...considered the flag ship airline of the UK once upon a time, not anymore their a bloody joke 🤡 tried to make a claim for my loses but they just want to pass the buck to another airline to whom they contract work and passengers out too...I wrote to BA twice pointing out the facts that my contract was with them and not the airline that they contract out too but same old reply sorry for the inconvenience but you claim has been rejected but please don’t hesitate to contact us if there’s anything else we can do...YER how about accepting and processing my claim?... sorry for the inconvenience but you claim has been rejected but please don’t hesitate to contact us if there’s anything else we can do.....WOULDN’T RECOMMEND
Update: had to chase BA for my refund and now I’ve received it but not what was expected in fact less £183.26 robbing barstools.....
Had an email from them recently saying “we’re here for you when you need us” why make statements like that when we all know it’s total bull@#@#...BA don’t make promises you can’t keep....🤬

Awful, Pathetic Customer Service

It's not even worth giving 1 star. To start off with they cancelled the flight without informing us and now when I call them half way through they will cut your phone off. Not willing to change my flight dates which is their responsibility. It was my first time with BA and will be last also. Joel one of the colleagues I spoke to also threatened and harassed me. So far waiting for call back but as I know it might never come. I hope this airline gets shut down.

Their treatment of people who had vouchers and wanted to rebook is shocking. Got told we'd used them, balance still says we owe money. Complained, heard nothing, then get sent 1 voucher for one passenger (not even the lead passenger) for half the amount of the original. No response on Twitter, email or "Customer Relations" team. Silence. Brilliant work BA. not.

Criminal behaviour

Criminal behaviour. I know the industry is under pressure but this is actual robbery.
Booked my flights after lots of planning around SPECIFIC dates. They decided to change it without permission a few months later.
I now have 30 minutes to change disembark and flights with 2 young children. That is optimistic at the best of times but with it in mind that no flights are taking off on time and with socially distanced disembarking taking hours, that is not enough time.
They are forcing and guaranteeing me to miss my second flight and be stranded.
They will only give me a voucher to rebook flights but they have already admitted they cannot get me on another flight for my dates.
So they are knowingly keeping my money and ensuring my family is stranded in a stop-over with no options!!! Guaranteed failure.

Disappointed by ba and the way they act

We have used ba for years and really loved them. This year with all what has happened we saved for a really good holiday next year.
We are going to San Francisco flying economy plus on the way out and bussiness on the way home. We booked seats at the from of economy plus months again paired the extra and was looking for to sitting on the plane with my partner and daughter with no one in front that's why we booked as soon as the tickets came out. All was good till Wednesday I got a email saying they had moved us seats for no reason. I sent a email and they said its end of these things and that was that. Email said any problems with that phone a number tried to phone getting no answer. I don't understand how they can do that. Really disappointed I thought ba where better than that
