Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful - would give zero stars if possible. Customer services are impossible to get hold of, complaints process terrible, poor customer service on the ground, will book you on as hand luggage and remove your small travel bag at the gate and put it in the hold with no apology. Used to be good, has gone so badly downhill.

Booked flights and hotel holiday to New…

Booked flights and hotel holiday to New York. With hotel booked a skyline room but made mistake of booking with bathtub. Rang next day and amended booking to walk in shower skyline room. No charge as writhing cooling off period.
Whe arrived at hotel told skyline rooms don’t have walk in shower so in order to have was downgraded to city room. Circa 20$ a night cheaper so $100 in total.
Upon contact BA holiday customer services and waiting 10 days for a reply( you can’t ring them as nobody answers). Am told that I didn’t book a room with walk in shower….. so I must have imagined my conversation with their Newcastle office and the amended booking sent to me.

Was looking to make so further bookings but will stay well clear as they make it up as they go along and alike the airline currently not fit for purpose and a sad company compared to past years would avoid both them and airline where viable.

I booked a holiday for my wife and…

I booked a holiday for my wife and child to Cape Town (ref, JW9714). I booked all the ground transport with BA, which was supposed to be a lovely hotel.
It's like a bad comedy: they got there OK, but the BA Chauffeur failed to turn up, and no one at BA would speak with them; in short, they missed their flight home.
No BA staff at the airport would assist. It then took 15 phone calls and 3 hours to get through to someone who was unable to assist even then.
We managed to get them home and duly complained to BA Holidays, who continually sent us around the houses, with every person you spoke to denying responsibility for dealing with these events. The story is much longer than this, but BA Holidays offer no simple way to communicate it all, and it's impossible to speak with someone. We are now one month after these events, and they still have no communication despite multiple calls and emails.
As a company, BA Holidays is super quick at taking your money but untrustworthy. They have no respect for their customers and no pride in their services. In short, BA Holidays are dire in every department, from their services to non-existent customer service teams.
We are left massively out of pocket and with a bad taste in our mouths.
Do yourself a favour, avoid BA holidays, and book with a company with some ethics and responsibility. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

Avoid this company at all costs.

Biggest crooks out there

Biggest crooks out there, they have asked me for a medical note from my doctor and twice they have rejected it, as they have an inability to read. I have never seen such a scammy company, doing whatever they can to weasel out of helping out a customer. I have an operation and they have EVERY step of the way done whatever possible to make it super difficult. WILL not ever consider flying with BA again. Place is run by a bunch of incompetent people, stay far away.

Disgraceful airline with no morals or customer care!!

My daughter had an accident whilst travelling and had to have surgery. Whilst waiting on travel insurance I called customer care to ask if they would hold the ticket as it was being booked less than 24hrs in advance - they refused and said there were 4 seats left at that price so I could wait. An hour later after having the flight in my basket I tried to purchase and it wouldn’t go through. I called customer care and it was because that price was no longer available and it had more than doubled. I was extremely upset as I was trying to get my daughter home after a traumatic few days
The call assistant refused to put me through to a manager and insisted they could do nothing to secure the previously advertised price. The ridiculousness is that the insurance had agreed to upgrade her due to medical reasons and they would have then sold a flight more than triple the cost of the original flight.
Absolutely appalled by the “service”. I believe BA to be falsely advertising themselves (especially given their most recent tv campaign!). My experience has shown them to be a company lacking in empathy, understanding and without morals. “Better world” absolute and utter nonsense. Shame on you British Airways.

Terrible experience with BA Holidays.

Terrible experience with BA Holidays on a recent trip to NYC.
The hotel was basically a youth hostel, with booming music until 2am. There was no mention of this on the booking.
I complained to BA and they offered a nominal goodwill gesture which was a joke. But more worryingly, they just fobbed me off as if I was just exaggerating or complaining about nothing. Which means they won't look into the issue for future guests. To not remove, or at least review, a terrible hotel from their listings is the biggest issue in my opinion. They do not take complaints onboard.

BA are the worst airline I've ever…

BA are the worst airline I've ever flown on, if you decide to travel with them you must just expect everything to be half-arsed at best. No tissue or paper towels in the toilet (they'd run out, about 2 hours into an 11 hour flight). The floors of the toilets were wet and sticky and stayed that way. People broke glasses during some turbulence and despite them telling the crew, no one picked it up so it just got more and more tramped into the carpets and you could feel it in your shoes. Every surface felt sticky. The touchscreens on the TVs didn't work for most people around me although you could use the remote for some (which probably hasn't had a wipe since the 90s). My TV never worked so I watched saved videos on my phone instead. The staff were smiley and seemed nice but you could see they knew the company they work for is spiraling into the drain in their cold tired eyes.

British Airways customer services is almost non-existent

British Airways customer services is appalling. For weeks now I have been trying to book a flight using e vouchers. They are not recognised, and when I try to get some help from BA I am directed to a phone number that’s almost impossible to get through on. When I did finally get through the operator hung up after a minute or two, using the cliche of ‘the line is breaking up’.
Primary school behaviour.
Really, British Airways, do you care so little about your reputation that you can’t even be bothered dealing with customer problems you’ve created in the first place?
Shame on you. You don’t deserve even one star.

We have flown BA most times

We have flown BA most times, and pretty much will not look elsewhere now! Service has always been good, even where we have experienced a delay, information has been good. If we have ever had any issues, these have been resolved without extra charges. Sure they may be dearer, but you really do get what you pay for. If you want to fly for pennies with another carrier, there is usually a trade off, and if your lucky and it all goes well, then great, but its the times when things don't go to plan, that you tend to come unstuck!! I am the sort of person that things don't to to plan with!!

BA cancelled the flight

BA cancelled the flight, then put everyone on a flight the following day, and then charged me again for the booking. Get through to someone on the phone, put you on hold for 15min then cut you off. Useless, will never ever fly with BA again. 3rd rate airline...

If I could give minus stars I would! Disgraceful customer service. As our national airline they should be ashamed of themselves. I have so many examples of poor service and they keep on happening. Running out of drink on a 9 hour flight after 3 hours when I was in premium economy. Asking us what we would like from the menu in the second row of premium and when I gave them my choice to be told they had run out! That happened on the outgoing and incoming flight. Goodness know what the passengers in the last row of premium got to eat!! I actual feel sorry for their cabin crew. One of them told me that they had been to NY a couple of weeks before we flew and they had gone with Virgin who were fantastic!! What does that tell you. As for using any Avios you might have collected - forget it!! You can’t get through on the phone they take ages to reply to any complaints if you email them and their response if you are lucky enough to hear back is a joke. My advice would be DO NOT FLY WITH BRITISH AIRWAYS especially long hall. Other airlines like EasyJet and TUI are miles ahead of them.

The worst customer service

Impossible to speak to anyone to sort a problem with my Avios account. Chat doesn’t answer the question. Phone lines are busy & cut you off. The worst customer service I have ever experienced

Helpful cabin crew

My husband was taken ill during the flight the staff were quick to help, they gave him oxygen and did their up most to help him, and offer reassurance to my daughter and myself. They were all trying their best, and being mid flight to America their calm approach was reassuring.

Claiming Avios points

I have been trying to claim Avios points not credited since October. I have spoken to BA 3-4 times with little or no success. I have also emailed them several times still not resolved. I have had the same problem trying to get my wife's points credited but still the same result. I have never experienced such incompetence and poor service

STAY AWAY FROM BRITISH AIRWAYS

Don't make the same.mistake I made by thinking a big company will have decent service. Quite the opposite, absolutely awful treatment from British Airways holidays. Like most companies these days, they take your money and couldn't give a damn after that. If you're not happy you can cancel and lose 60% of the cost!!!! Really?? No more flying with BA and with a bit of luck they'll lose so many customers they might actually do something.

My 20 year old daughter left stranded by BA

My 20 year old daughter booked 2 flights through British Airways (BA) on the 23rd October. The flights were from Heathrow to Chicago and then Chicago to Buffalo. The 1st flight from Heathrow to Chicago was diverted to Iceland due to a medical emergency. This meant by daughter missed her connecting at Chicago to Buffalo. Both flights were operated by American Airlines (AA). On landing in Chicago the AA crew told the passengers that someone from AA would help them to get on new connecting flights. They refused to help my daughter as she had booked through BA. My daughter had to book a new flight to Bufflao at a cost of $330 . We assumed it would be a simple process to get a refund from BA. BA were nowhere to be seen at Chicago airport so my daughter had no help from them either. Both AA and BA left her. Now BA are refusing to refund the missed flight saying its AA fault. AA are refusing to refund the missed flight saying its BA fault as she booked and paid for the flights through them. Its appalling service and customer care.
