Pleasant surprise
Was kind of leery about dealing completely online with a travel planner. Had some anxiety about how well transfers and excursions would be coordinated and satisfying. Everything turned just as or even better than I’d hoped. All transfers were in nice vehicles, on time and right where we needed them. Each hotel was exceptional. Every excursion, but one, was interesting and well paced. All of the tour guides were professional, knowledgeable and extremely personable.
Enjoyed the experience so much that I will likely use the company again to plan a trip to Poland.

Flawless experience in Croatia.
This is the first time we have ever used a company to help us plan a trip. We feel fortunate that our search to us to Baboo. The entire trip was based upon a short interview asking our preferences, interests, etc. As a result, the trip was flawless and perfectly suited for our style of travel. Communications with the company and local hosts was impeccable. All of the accommodations were clean, comfortable and in perfect locations. The breakfasts provided were excellent too. We had asked for some adventures like biking, sea kayaking, local tastings... All went as planned and were mainly local, family run businesses which was more intimate and helps the local economy. Croatia is an amazing place with a rich history. This trip was a great value. Pricing was very reasonable and there were no surprises. We will go back and because of this trip, we know where in the country we'd like to spend more time. It was a flawless experience start to finish. Nothing negative to say about these folks.

Living local is the way to go...
It was completely at the suggestion of the Baboo Travel team that we went to the Ragusa region in Sicily and we could not be more grateful for that. We were able to experience Italy it a way we would never have dreamed of thanks to all of their efforts. In the beginning, the documentation and suggestions seemed very overwhelming, but once we arrived, everything fell into place quite nicely.

Not sure I'd use this service again
The travel experts communicated very well, but they didn't provide me with itineraries that matched well to my interests or requested destinations. It seemed as if they provided popular travel options with average local tour companies but didn't have actual local knowledge nor expertise that would have made for an excellent or customized experience. I ended up researching and booking all my own lodging and finding much better tour companies and some additional interesting options than those provided. In contrast, all the transportation services arrangements and drivers were excellent.

It has been a struggle so far
I have been arranging a trip in the Netherlands for about 6 months now and trip is upcoming in 3 weeks. It has been a struggle right from the start and I have had two conversations with a senior Baboo representative with regards to inaccuracies in the documentation provided by the local Netherlands travel outlet. Nothing comes easily and I need to continually review and edit all the information. Often information does not come and I have to ask for it several times. For example, we want to plan our free time but we can’t yet because we don’t have the dates and times for our tours and excursions booked through Baboo. We don’t have train times or anything except hotels at this point. I’m not sure if it is a cultural barrier, but the Netherlands people don’t seem to care. The Baboo representatives do seem to care, but it seems they don’t have much control over their local reps. I will review again once the trip is completed and hopefully it will have a good outcome.
