Backtobases Avis

I highly recommend using Back To Bases! I found them by asking ChatGPT for the best companies to lay a concrete base for a shed I purchased in my area. This came up as the recommended one based on it's own analysis. I called a few places and got quotes alongside calling Back to Bases. In the end, they were the most competitive but what made me choose them was the customer service, i.e. answering my many questions, the professionalism and skill of the team, the speed and quality of the installation of the concrete base and the fact they specialise in doing this. Again, I highly recommend using them.

The BacktoBases team arrived on time and de-constructed & removed my old shed, then had several "challenges" that they addressed quickly and efficiently. Watching the team work was as if it was choreographed: every move was slick, efficient with everyone knowing what was needed and when.
And things were better than I expected: they laid plastic sheet down on the drive to protect it and put sheet down the path to the back garden - keeping it all clear of mud and cement. And the paving slabs were cut to leave a hole where the shed base was cast - I thought I'd have to trim and re-lay slabs where they'd just been taken out - wonderful. Plus a good sweep and hose down at the end. A great job all round!
Very pleased I chose BacktoBases.
(And the office staff were really good too, top marks!)

Very attentive, competitive price, great standard of work

Tony and his team built my grey composite decking and pergola in June 2022 to my specifications. They did a fantastic job. If I need anything doing to my house Tony always gets his team round and they do a great job. His team recently put up some fence posts and an extra drain pipe for my pergola. Nothing is too much trouble. The company is very professional, trustworthy, listen and get the work done to a very high standard. Plus they clean up afterwards. I continue to use the services of Tony and his team and highly recommend the company. Angela - Hornchurch

The company was easy to deal with, quotes were clear, straightforward and supplied quickly. The office team communicated well and kept us up to date with delivery and install dates. The installation team arrived on time and knew exactly what they were doing, they set up quickly and covered all of the access areas. The installation work was completed very professionally and the team checked everything through with us before leaving. Overall a very good job and experience, we would recommend BackToBases and would use them again ourselves.

Fantastic company from initial quote through to the quality of work completed highly recommend this company very pleased with work completed

The team worked really hard and did an excellent job. Darren advised me very well about how to make the base most effective. The firm was veey attentive and careful about my wishes. Highly recommended.

Back to Bases were very easy tod deal with, from the comprehensive quotes provided by Darren, all based on photos, videos and conversations we had, to the actual install carried out by Graeme and Alfie, both of who were professional, punctual, efficient and friendly. The finished job looks great, and I have no doubt that we will be asking for quotes on future projects we have in the garden

Reliable and thorough

The guys were great , got on with it , very clean and tidy. very fast service. Would easily recommend.

Initially, Darren from Back to Bases visited me on 1st October 2025, so could see my requirements. These were, the removal of 2 small trees, replace 2 fence posts and fit 3 new fence panels. Then finally to prepare an area at the end of the garden to lay a 4M x 3M reinforced concrete base.
All this was organised at very short notice. Darren managed to rearrange other bookings to fit us in on 6th & 7th October. The trees were cut down on 6th. This was done very professionally and did not affect any other areas of the garden.
At 8.00am on 7th a man arrived to replace the fence posts and fit new fence panels. Then two more men arrived to cleared away all the wood from the previous day. They then prepared the whole area for the base to be laid. The chap doing the fencing then assisted the other two in preparation for the concrete pour. The whole thing was completed by 5.30pm. I was impressed with their care to detail and attention, as they had to access my garden via a neighbours side entrance and with the removal of a fence panel. My neighbour was full of praise for the way they carefully brought everything through and also tidied up at the end of the day. I am very pleased with the base, which now has an Art Room/Studio under construction sitting on it.
I would highly recommend Back to Bases, to anyone else who has similar or more advanced requirements for their garden.

A friendly company who built my greenhouse concrete base. They were efficient, tidy, and communicated really well. I will definitely use them again. Thank you.

Really happy with the work carried out - very professional and friendly team - cleared everything up - would recommend this company to anyone

Back to bases were recommended to us by the company building a cabin in the garden of my Fathers property for them to lay the base. The recommendation from another company shows they are trusted and respected and we found out why. The booking was easily made and once we'd chosen what we wanted a date set. Access through to the garden was a bit restricted but this didn't cause the team any problems. After negotiating the access it was another 110 feet across the garden to where the base was required, no problem there either. The grass was covered with boards for protection showing respect for the property.
Great care was taken over the position of the base and checked and double checked for squareness and leveled.
Upon completion, apart from one drying, reenforced slab of concrete you would never know the team had been there. I'm one very happy customer, fast , efficient, respectful. Wouldn't hesitate to use again and recommend to others. You won't be disappointed.

We used Back to Bases for a decking replacement and a base installation for a log cabin. From the initial enquiry to the completion of the job, their communication was consistently excellent.

The work was carried out by a polite and hardworking team who arrived as scheduled and used top-quality materials. The decking, in particular, was finished to perfection.

We cannot recommend Back to Bases highly enough and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or share their details with family and friends

I was looking for a base to be laid for a home office and was recommended Back to Bases.

From the first contact to the completion of the job everything was very professional.

The team that undertook the work were punctual, courteous and professional.
They delivered exactly what I asked for and were keen to ensure that I was happy with the job before leaving.

I would happily recommend them to other potential customers.

We needed a patio for our garden area at Barking Fire Station training centre. We had a very tight budget, I spoke to Anthony at Back to Bases for some advice as he had previously done some work at my home. He offered to build us a patio, accepting our tight budget. The patio is beautiful and completed to a high standard, it would have cost a lot more than what we had, very generous, Thank you Anthony.

I’ll keep it simple - they were fantastic from the moment they arrived to the moment they left and everything in between.
