Call Center Mass Production
One thing to consider when calling lenders is what the atmosphere is. If it's noisy and you can hear other reps speaking loudly, it's likely a call center with an automated script. That is what Baker Street is. The rep didn't even ask me if I knew how much liabiltiy insurance the at fault driver had. That's a red flag. I told them I'd only been approved for $2,000. He asked what I needed, I said, $5000 on the low end, he said, "Yeah that's not going to happen without surgery."
I have called about 6 lenders thus far and only 2 have asked pertinent questions. This is a commercial vehicle collision that made the news by the way and the driver is at fault 100%. It's on the police report with WSP and there is a clear video of the accident on a state camera.
