I attended an Invisalign consultation at the Lewisham branch. The clinic looks impressive and the price was competitive, but the way finance was sold to me was unacceptable for a healthcare provider.
I was taken through a credit agreement on the practice's computer and told I needed to sign there and then. I asked to take the documents away to read and was refused. The agreement was taken straight to the signature page, and I only saw what I was signing after asking twice. A legally binding credit agreement was completed in a matter of minutes.
A dental practice should be advising patients, not closing a sale. I felt pressured into a financial commitment worth thousands of pounds without the time or information I was entitled to.
I withdrew from the finance the same evening and cancelled the treatment. The practice did cancel my appointment and refund my deposit.
When I complained formally, the practice accepted its own staff member's account without speaking to the witness who was with me, and did not explain the points its version could not account for.
If you go here: do not sign anything on the day. Ask for the treatment plan and finance documents in writing, take them home and read them properly. You have a legal right to withdraw from a finance agreement within 14 days, and you should use it if you feel rushed.
I came away from Banning Dental & Skin Clinique feeling frustrated rather than satisfied. My main concern was not simply the money I spent, but the lack of communication and support I experienced afterward. I expected clearer explanations and a better response when I raised concerns about the service. For the amount paid, I expected a more professional and customer-focused experience. Instead, I felt that my concerns were not given enough attention and that the overall service did not provide the value I was expecting. I hope the clinic reviews how it communicates with customers and handles concerns, because better follow-up could make a significant difference to the overall experience.
I was not satisfied with my experience at Banning Dental & Skin Clinique. After spending money on the service, I expected clearer communication and a better level of customer care. Unfortunately, I felt disappointed with how my concerns were handled and did not feel that I received the level of support I expected. The cost made the experience particularly frustrating because I expected better value for what I paid. I believe customers should receive straightforward information about the service and feel comfortable raising concerns when something does not meet their expectations. In my case, the overall experience left me dissatisfied, and I hope the clinic takes customer feedback seriously and improves its communication and follow-up.
I was somewhat cautious before attending my appointment, as Trustpilot currently displays a warning on Banning Dental Group’s profile stating that its rating is unavailable due to a breach of Trustpilot’s guidelines and that a number of fake reviews have been removed. It was the first time I had ever seen such a warning on Trustpilot; nevertheless, I decided to attend and judge the practice entirely on my own experience.
Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed by both the consultation and the lack of transparency around fees for transferring an existing active Invisalign Comprehensive case.
Before booking, I explained clearly by email that I was not seeking a new Invisalign treatment, but to transfer and continue an existing active Comprehensive case, which I have already paid for in full. I had also contacted Invisalign/Align directly and was told that active cases can be transferred and continued by a receiving clinician. Banning then confirmed in writing that my appointment would be “to continue your Invisalign rather than starting a new course of treatment”. I paid the consultation fee on that basis.
I specifically chose Dr Carlos Díez Acero because of his orthodontic and clear-aligner experience. Concerningly, when I mentioned the transfer during the appointment, he was unaware that I was already undergoing active Invisalign treatment or that this was specifically a transfer/continuation consultation, despite Banning having confirmed this beforehand.
The consultation itself felt extremely and uncomfortably rushed — I was in the room for less than five minutes — and I felt under pressure to explain my concerns and ask questions quickly because I had the distinct impression that the doctor was eager to finish and move on.
My concerns are not cosmetic. I have specific functional and occlusal problems identified during my ongoing treatment and subsequently assessed by two other orthodontists. They do not work with Invisalign, which is precisely why I sought someone with particular Invisalign and orthodontic expertise. Nevertheless, the consultation focused very quickly on my smile looking good and that, if I were his friend, he would advise me to stop treatment. I respect a conservative clinical opinion, but I did not feel my functional concerns received the careful assessment I had expected.
For example, when I demonstrated that biting into food with my front incisors causes uncomfortable contact and friction between my upper left canine and the lower teeth, Dr Díez Acero responded that I should not bite food with my incisors and should instead use my molars. I found this particularly confusing, given that I was demonstrating a functional problem with my bite.
When I asked whether further improvement was nevertheless possible, he confirmed that it was, and we discussed options including creating additional space and using elastics.
I was then told that transferring/continuing my existing Invisalign case would cost £2,000. Nothing remotely approaching this figure had been communicated before I paid for the consultation, despite my having made the purpose of the appointment completely clear. When I questioned the amount and explained that I had encountered substantially lower transfer/continuation fees elsewhere, Dr Díez Acero's response was that I should then go elsewhere and that it is a free market and clinics can charge what they choose.
That is of course true. But a free market also requires customers to have sufficient information to make an informed choice — and they are equally free to share their experience afterwards. Had I known beforehand that continuing my already-paid, active Invisalign Comprehensive case would involve a £2,000 fee, I would not have paid for or attended the consultation.
I have no objection to Banning setting its own professional fees. My objection is to a substantial and apparently firm transfer/continuation charge not being disclosed before taking a consultation fee, combined with an appointment that I personally found extremely rushed and dismissive.
Unfortunately, I left feeling that considerable effort had gone into getting me through the door, but very little into actually assessing the case and functional concerns I had specifically come to discuss.
I am a nervous patient but was put at ease by all of the staff at the Tonbridge practice. The treatment was thoroughly explained to me and all of my questions were answered which has really helped me gain trust and the confidence for attending my future appointments. Thankyou for helping me not dread going to the dentist!
I went to this dental practice a few months ago following a friend’s recommendation (who’s been informed of my very bad experience here). When I booked the appointment I mentioned that I had painful wisdom teeth that probably needed removing, so they booked me in for an x-ray. On the day, I rushed to get there to make sure I would be on time (I had called the practice to ask if we could reschedule to 5:30pm instead and they said it wasn’t possible as they closed at 5:30pm) despite being late with work. When I arrived, at 4:45pm so early for my 5pm appointment, I was greeted by the receptionist and asked to take a seat. I ended up waiting for over half an hour as I eas only seen by the doctor at 5:30. So basically I called the practice, asked if I could get in a little later, they said no, then they ended up making me wait in the lounge for 45 min. The appointment itself was unimpressive. A partial x-ray was performed with a very uncomfortable tool placed in my mouth. After that, the doctor asked me what I wanted to do with my wisdom teeth (did I want to keep them or remove them?) to which I wasn’t sure how to respond: I was there to receive a medical opinion in regards to something I had no experience in. Additionally, she didn’t even know if it was safe for me to have my teeth removed because she only did a small radiography (it was not a panoramic x ray) so she couldn’t fully see the wisdom teeth: what’s the point of me going then?? She said she could refer me to the surgeon who would then perform a comprehensive x ray for the price of £80 and then advise what to do. So for a total of £110 in two different appointments I would get two x rays but only one would be able to tell me if I did need to remove my wisdom teeth?? What was the first one even for?? The doctor that visited me (don’t know the name, it’s not written on my invoice) said it herself that she was not an expert as she wouldn’t be the one removing the teeth, so she couldn’t advise what to do. Based on this poor experience I decided to not go ahead with them as I didn’t trust them at all. I don’t know whose fault it was, if the receptionist’s (for only booking me in for a small xray) or the doctor’s, but that was £30 - and 1.5 hour of my time (between travel, 45min wait in the lounge, and appointment) thrown out the window. I have now luckily found The Meridian Dental practice in Greenwich where I have been greeted by a very knowledgeable and friendly receptionist, and an experienced doctor, and the panoramic x ray was only £55. Definitely do NOT recommend Banning Dental.
Great treatment! Made losing a tooth such a positive experience!👍👏😁
Where do I start, from the moment I walk in I get greeted by a friendly reception team that are super smiley and had a very nice approach to them. They asked me if I wanted a coffee or a tea while I was waiting which I’ve never had before in a dentist.
Seating is comfortable and I realised it’s all on one floor which I thought of my elderly mother who has difficulty getting up the stairs.
I saw Dr Uzma who was so nice when coming in, she introduced herself and her nurse which you don’t see often and did a full examination of my mouth. I felt it was very thorough and she explained what treatment I needed to get done.
As a nervous patient I felt very calm and she kept my mind at ease of the treatment needed doing.
My first experience at banning was 10/10 for me and I can’t wait to come back and start getting my treatment done. Would highly recommend if you haven’t been there already.
Thank you all for making my experience welcoming. See you soon! 🙌🏻
I recently had an implant consultation at the new Tonbridge branch. While the clinic looks amazing and the support staff were incredibly welcoming, I was disappointed by the actual consultation. The specialist felt quite arrogant and off-ish, making me feel uncomfortable. He was also negotiating prices and pushing other services, which felt purely mechanical and money focused. Afterwards, the coordinator pressured me for a substantial upfront payment for the first appointment, and when I asked for time to think, they insisted on calling me the next day. This high-pressure sales approach felt very amateurish for a medical practice, so I decided not to proceed. On a positive note, they were very prompt at returning my deposit after I cancelled, which I appreciated. They may do good work, but the sales-driven presentation completely ruined the experience for me.
I Got Dental Implants and It was done to perfection and I'm healing well I had to go to Banning Dental Group to replace dental implants I done 21st April 2026 after they fell out due the damage/infections caused from an AWFUL Dentist in Antalya Turkey Called (DENTAL HARMONY) !!!!

Maddy and Intisar made my experience at Banning an excellent one. The hospitality, care and support I received made my treatment one I won’t forget and highly recommend to others. Thank you
Banning Dental Group in Greenwich is by far the cleanest, most modern, spacious and luxurious dental clinic I have ever visited. The high ceilings, panoramic views of the Thames, spacious design and sparkling clean environment are all exceptional and of the highest standard. I popped in to ask a few questions and get some information regarding composite bonding and was assisted by Melissa and Ana who were welcoming, supportive and professional. The location right next to the Thames and O2 area is also fantastic. I look forward to returning to this dental clinic in the future to commence my treatment plan and highly recommend it to everyone.
The dentist was really friendly and was happy to answer all my questions about my treatment.
Had a very good experience for my treatment, team is really nice and experienced
