Samiul, our Barbour account manager took the time to run through a 30 minute training refresher session with me. He has a very friendly, easy manner and constructed the session to ensure that myself and colleagues will get the best service from Barbour by confirming that we all have continual user knowledge when accessing the Barbour site. The presentation by Leah Hyde on Barbour's services for environmental and health and safety legislation data and updates was excellent. It is a good product and Leah's explanation and run through the mechanics of the service superbly demonstrated its ease of access and use.

I like Barbour. They actually are a company who actively listens to feedback from their customers, and is proactive in providing the resources and opportunities to gauge that feedback, rather than just waiting for it to be sent to them. Great relationship with an account manager who is always quick to respond and able to provide answers.

A platform s only as good as the end users capability.
I have had a meeting with Sam today and was blown away with what the platform is capable of.
Sam went through various sections and trained me on how to utilise the information provided and make the platform bespoke to our needs. Simply brilliant.

Really good refresher training experience online with Barbour's Samiul Gafur. Sam was very knowledgeable about the platform and showed me through various areas which included Technical Guides, Legal Registers, Director's Briefings, factsheets, toolbox talks and various other parts -all at a good pace. I've used the platform with various companies in the past and it is always good to refresh. I find Barbour an exceptional tool to use and cannot recommend it enough. Thanks Sam.

I have been using Barbour (Consolidated & comprehensive) services for the last 5 years and find it very beneficial for both me and the businesses I have work for.
I have recently set up a new account and the service, I have received from the team (business consultants - Charlotte &Susanne) has been great. They have supported our business very well.

I was given a virtual tour of the Barbour platform by Samiul Gafur who took the time and trouble to show me how it was constructed and how to access the various resources available. The other day I attended a really thought-provoking webinar hosted by Barbour EHS. It was all about Psychological Safety and it really gave me pause to think. It was a term I hadn't come across previously, but something that I have been actively implementing and applying.
So what is it? Simply put, it is about creating a truly 'safe to say' environment. This stretches way beyond accident, incident, near miss & hazard reporting; this extends into the whole workplace where we are empowering our colleagues to speak freely and without consequence when they feel something is not right. This can be a safety concern, behavioural, or literally anything else that falls within the realms of 'what happens at work.'
At BRE we have a 'no blame' approach to accident reporting and see everything reported as an opportunity to learn and improve our safety standards. We recognise that there is always more than 1 root cause when something happens and it's about identifying all of the root causes and looking at what we could have done better. This is a team effort for both the investigation and sharing the learnings.
We can only learn from the past if we know about it - chasing the zero and under-reporting is not an environment where Psychological Safety is being applied.
My learning has been twofold - firstly, what I do every day has a name - Psychological Safety! Secondly, that we should be considering this in all aspects of our work environment and not just limiting it to Health & Safety.

Was given a thorough overview and tour of the various services and resources available within Barbour by Eloise. As a new user with no prior experience of Barbour, Eloise did a great job of explaining what is available and how to use it. A great service and I can foresee lots of potential uses for it in future.
