Material covered and the methodology were great. The human reviewers of the essay questions were hit and miss. Most were great, giving detailed comments on what I did well and where to be improved, but the reviewer for Contracts essays gave no comments, just said “try harder.” A waste of a submission.

This was my second time preparing for the bar with Barbri: the first was in 1990, when I took the NY exam. After a career in international affairs of more than three decades, I wanted to return to the practice of law in a new jurisdiction, so needed to take the bar exam again this past July.
In both instances, both in NY and now in WA, I passed on my first attempt. Simply stated, Barbri’s methodology is foolproof. I would go as far as saying that if one follows the curriculum and completes all assignments, it is virtually impossible to not pass.

I enjoyed using BARBRI to study for the July 2025 exam. The videos were helpful, particularly those that involved material that was difficult to grasp (Evidence, Crim Pro). I liked the foundational exam to begin with, however, I wish we did not have to watch the foundational videos. There was inadequate time to really review course material independently -- scheduling 1 hour for a review that takes longer than 1 hour seems inefficent.

Generally, I find Barbri useful. Early access should open earlier. Customer service is also slow to answer questions via email. Answers to questions in a live format is actually preferred. Most of all, navigation is difficult. It's hard to find information. By the time information is available via email about navigation, I lost my train of thought and focus was broken. Additionally, some of the explanations are incomplete. I would write a more thorough explanation of incomplete explanations, but I cannot remember all of them. There are many.

Cara D'Agastino who is our BarBri rep at Touro was absolutely amazing, and she helped me out a lot. She was making sure we were all following along with the course, and if we were confused on something, she went out of her way, even on a saturday or sunday, to help us and answer questions.

Instructors were not only knowledgeable about their topics, but some were inspirational and motivational. Thank you for acknowledging the bar prep journey law students go through and for sharing your knowledge. I felt I learned more about the law through BARBRI’s instruction than I did in many of my 14 week law school courses.

Barbri was very easy to access. But Barbri did not provide substantial assistance for issues. For example, Barbri would sent an efficient email acknowledging the request for assistance and then not provide the assistance.

Barbri classes are outstanding and I believe the instructors, overall, know what to teach. But the Barbri question designers follow their own path and the teaching goals and Barbri question testing goals are not aligned. For example, you can attend and understand the class and then fail the Barbri questions. When the questions are carefully reviewed, those questions were often never covered in class.

In the past, I used Barbri to successfully pass three Bar examinations in California, Nevada, and Alaska. But the course has changed since then because there is no effective assistance for questions or issues and the people developing questions follow a different track than the instructors. Unfortunately and particularly for Florida, the Barbri question designers failed to properly prepare us for the actual test. The classes teaching objectives and the Barbri question testing objectives should be the same and directly aligned. Greg Heritage

Content did not adequately cover the bulk of what appeared on the test. Further, the form of practice questions was very different from the form of the test questions, leaving me severely unprepared for the exam as a whole.

Great user interface! I liked the instructors. The Barbri questions seem to be same difficulty of actual bar questions but they still are different. I found Adaptibar to be more similar style.

The foundation videos were not helpful because they just spat out information and even said it would be talked about later. The lecture videos were great and the lecturers were great as well! The barbri calendar was not very user friendly, I couldn’t edit it properly without messing up my hours. I wish we could go back on the calendar and edit as well

I appreciated the thorough coverage of topics across multiple bar exam subjects. The lecturers emphasized the most heavily tested areas while also pointing out other topics. The ISAAC/personal study plan and daily task suggestions helped me stay focused and manage my time effectively. However, I was disappointed that I couldn't log the hours I studied on my own, and I often felt behind and stressed about completing tasks and meeting the daily hour requirements to achieve the 85% completion mark for Barbri.

The videos, manuels and essay practice were incredible. The multiple choice could be improved. The questions sometimes are just not applicable to what the bar experience was actually like.

I highly recommend the SQE1&2 prep courses with Barbri. The personal study plan is really helpful and takes the additional stress away of having to create and manage a study timetable. The lecturers are really good and there are very helpful workshops in addition to the course content. The assignments keep you on track with feedback throughout the course and the mock exams are well structured.

I passed both SQE1 and SQE2 on my first attempt with Barbri.

The SQE1 prep course was really good. Barbri's "bare minimum" approach works perfectly, as it is impossible to cover everything in the limited time available for preparation. I was also never feeling that I was alone in this, which I truly appreciate.

For SQE2, I think they can do better. I passed well, but they need to give more consideration to the content - law. Their assessors for mock exams are very helpful and feedback was very good for my improvement.

But their "ask substantive questions" team could have done better, as they gave me an incorrect answer on occasion. (This is why I am not giving 5 stars; otherwise, it would be 5 stars).

After completing the Barbri program, I went into the bar exam feeling prepared and came out of it feeling confident. I personally didn't use any outside supplements, and I still felt extremely ready for the exam. I highly recommend the program!

I enjoyed (loved) the way my PSP catered to the three main learning styles: visual (the animated videos), auditory (the professorial lectures), and kinesthetic (the practice MCs, essays, MPTs, and exams). I also really enjoyed Barbri's focus on positivity and motivation, as well as its inclusion of motivational speeches and phrases. I would have preferred the professor lectures to include more pivots to animated scenes or visual depictions while the professors were speaking: some of those lectures could become painfully boring without any visual stimulus other than occasional words. Generation Z does not quite have the attention span needed to sit and listen to professors drone on and on anymore.

If I had the chance to choose again, I probably would not choose Barbri. The MBE questions did not correlate to the actual questions on the bar. They were too specific and too nuanced. When I took actual questions from the bar, I found myself overthinking out of the practice questions taken from Barbri. The essay questions were great practice questions and I found those to be the most helpful.

It was a lifesaver for a pathetic retaker like me.

It changed my bar exam preparation and my progress in a lot more efficient way. Thus, I will be happy to recommend barbri to my fellow bar exam takers!

the animated foundation videos were the best part, I wish they were incorporated more into the deep dive.

One thing I always say is, “you get in what you put in,” and that really sums up my experience with Barbri. The program had great professors who were enthusiastic about teaching and made even the most difficult subjects feel approachable. Their energy really carried me through.

What stood out the most for me was the grading. The way Barbri graders broke things down on the MEEs and MPTs was wonderful. Their feedback helped me see exactly where I needed to improve and how to sharpen my skills. That kind of personalized guidance made a huge difference in my preparation.

Barbri was definitely worth it for me, and I would recommend it to anyone preparing for the bar.
