Barney's Delicatessen Avis 22

TLDR: Bought a nice hamper from here October 21st for Christmas week delivery with extra for guaranteed dpd. Bought well in advance of rush orders. Christmas day find out hamper never arrived to my folks and the website has been shut down with Google saying temporarily closed. Have no recourse to get my money they ran off with:(

Great food and range, and will come back. Be helpful to know that gift vouchers need to be spent all in one go, I would have bought two if I had known.
Probably says in small print but who gets that far, or can find it?

An excellent range of delicious cheeses beautifully wrapped. We liked them all but the goats cheese was probably the most popular.

Great selection of vegan cheeses. Packaged well (minimal packaging but kept cool) and delivered efficiently.

Ordering was easy and their collection of hampers offered a nice range. The kind chap doing the deliveries persevered when he wasn't able to deliver it in the evening, returning the next day and keeping me posted on progress. Lovely service.

Lovely cheese and well packed for delivery. Unfortunately the box did not contain my daughters favourite cheese, especially ordered for Xmas which has led to more calls to rectify

Ordered online and cheeses delivered on date requested. As always, quality of cheeses is superb - I wouldn't order my cheese from anywhere else.

A gem of a deli in the North Laine. Fabulous cheeses. Would not hesitate to order again.

Cheese was great. I would give 5 stars except the delivery was 2 days late. Not the shops fault but DPD the delivery fault.

Ordered a new cheese seen on TV which is made from buffalo milk and is a hardish cheese. Barney's supplied it quickly and efficiently and was in a chilled package so was perfect on arrival

Barneys have been a great support to us during the pandemic and they continue to do so since. Nothing is ever much trouble to them and they always deliver delicious product with a smile and a kind word.

The website was really easy to order from, and when collecting my order next day was a pleasure. Ready and waiting my Chutneys were also delicious when accompanied with a few select sausages. The vast selection of cold meats on offer was too tempting to resist, and although slightly dearer than supermarket fare the quality of my pastrami was appreciated by my tea-time guests insisted on where I was able to source such delicious treats. I gladly referred them to Barney's and so the 'Good Word' begins. The staff are always congenial and pleased to see you too. Thus revealing that my first visit was not my last!

I ordered a cheese selection to be sent to my brother as a thank you for hosting our holiday in Brighton. He was absolutely thrilled to receive it and was very impressed with the range of cheeses.
