Extremely disappointed

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Bauer Canada. I purchased a custom stick, expecting the quality and durability that comes with a premium product and brand reputation. Unfortunately, the stick broke just 10 days after the warranty period expired.

What’s most frustrating is not just the breakage itself, but Bauer’s complete unwillingness to make a reasonable, good-faith exception. As a long-time customer who has spent thousands of dollars on their equipment over the years, I expected at least some level of flexibility or customer care in this situation.

Instead, I was met with a rigid “policy is policy” response, with no consideration of customer loyalty or the circumstances. A product failing so shortly after warranty should raise questions about durability, and standing behind your product, especially for loyal customers,should matter.

This experience has seriously impacted my trust in the brand. When you invest heavily in a company, you expect them to stand behind both their products and their customers. Sadly, that wasn’t the case here.

My 10 year old daughter bought a…

My 10 year old daughter bought a special metallic stick online Nov 16th for a Christmas present. It waited un opened till Christmas. When unwrapped, it was the wrong curve. We bought right but needed left. We texted the hotline number multiple times and called and left messages over the holidays. when I tried to return, it would not recognize the order number. I emailed only for a Natalia:
Senior Warranty Ecommerce Consumer Direct Coordinator to be cold, and bluntly say they refuse to exchange it. It was an honest mistake, my daughter is devasted. This is horrible customer service !!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought the Mini Stick Mystery batons

I bought the Mini Stick Mystery batons; they are very flimsy and break far too easily. They shouldn't be on the market. I requested a refund with photographic evidence of three broken batons in the same spot. Clearly poor quality. Despite my request, they refused a refund and won't accept returns. I do not recommend Bauer as they do not comply with the law.

Still no shipment after promised delivery window — no replies

I placed an order on December 3rd for a pair of skates, with an estimated delivery window of December 8–13. As of today, my order still hasn’t shipped, and I have not received any updates or tracking information.

I contacted Bauer support several times and only received one generic answer. Since then, my follow-up emails have not been acknowledged. This is disappointing, especially during the holiday season when timely delivery matters.

I understand it’s a busy period, but customers should not be left without any information. I would simply like to know if my order will ship soon or if I should cancel and buy elsewhere before Christmas.

I’ve always trusted Bauer products, but this online shopping experience has been frustrating. I hope the company improves communication and transparency with customers.

Terrible Customer Service

Customer Service needs some improvement. The lack of communication is horrible. I had emailed them immediately after an order describing that there was an error on my part. They got back to me a week later and offered a solution, i asked them to proceed with their solution. Never got another response, the issue was never resolved.

I will avoid this make next time

I have been very disappointed with Bauer’s handling of a warranty claim for my son’s skates. I first contacted them back in January with a legitimate issue, and despite providing email evidence, I received no timely response. Later, I was told I had contacted the wrong email, even though those were the details I found online.

Because of the lack of guidance, my son continued using the skates, which led to further wear. Bauer has now refused the warranty claim, citing the condition of the skates, even though the original problem was present from the start.

Overall, the communication and support were poor, and I feel the situation was handled unfairly. Based on this experience, I will be avoiding Bauer products in the future, and I would caution others who expect prompt and reliable customer service

Stick breakage

Good morning. We would appreciate connecting with someone who can assist us with an ongoing issue. Over the past month, we’ve purchased four sticks that have unfortunately broken within or just shy of the 30-day policy period. We’ve been loyal customers for 18 years and have always trusted your products, but over the past year we’ve experienced a noticeable decline in durability. It’s been frustrating to have to replace sticks almost weekly, which has resulted in significant time and money lost.
Could you please direct us to someone who can help us with a refund or replacement toward a stick that will better withstand regular use? We’d love help.

Poor E-commerce User Experience

Order: CA145171 for verification.
Love the products. But the e-commerce experience was harsh. My friend was trying to buy $2,200 worth of products on his international credit card which was declined since it's an international card. I went ahead and paid for the order using my Canadian credit card and it was flagged as fraud. I was asked for my ID which I provided right away, had to confirm my credit card, speak to them over the phone to authenticate and they also called the receiver for the shipment to authenticate everything. After doing all of this, they cancelled the order and said to make a new account, try again. If this wasn't for my friend I will avoid the e-commerce side and just go in store to save yourself the trouble. Do better.

Dangerously lousy products! AVOID AT ALL COST!

Absolutely horrific company! Ignores every email I've sent them. Unfortunately they obviously do not have any problems with selling dangerously lousy products.
Last autumn my (admittedly old!) 2-by-2 roller skates literally exploded under me. The hockey boots are seemingly made from a non-stable plastic. I find it pure evil that Bauer does not label them "DO NOT USE AFTER xxx" or recall them when they know they are dangerous... Now I'm in Denmark and survived - but multiple weeks of intense headaces was not funny. So I sincerely hope that /when/ i.e. an American customer is hurt, Bauer will be sued into bankruptcy, so their products won't kill anyone! >:-(
