Ordered the dentalbeam following their claims of how amazing the product was and how dentist were in awe of how good it was.
However, the only thing it did was vibrate in my mouth, it did not clean my teeth, in fact my teeth were cleaner before I put the dentalbeam in.
I emailed for a refund and to send the product back - however due to hygiene reasons they declined. I suggested that if their product was “this” good then they should have a money back guarantee.

DO NOT waste your money!!!

Drop ship store, terrible customer service, promised a refund that never arrived and blocked my email so I couldn't query why.

I will start from great ad on Facebook where "mum" claimed how fantastic toothbrush is. I believed and I paid a price for it. Do Not Buy this toothbrush!!! So I ordered a kid toothbrush and thought we are good. Until I did research and found out that company selling them is 2 month old at that time!and no UK address or phone number to contact. First red flag. Then I realized that there are no reviews at all. Even trustpilot didn't have any. Second red flag. I became very suspicious and checked where thing comes from and no surprise in it from China. I tried to cancel my order but they refuse to do that. When I received toothbrush I already was prepared to send it back. And I checked that exactly I mean identical toothbrush you can buy on Amazon 3 times cheaper! So now I need to send it back to China. And one month later I still don't have my money back. I started to loose hope to get anything back. Please, do your research before you buy from them because they have nothing to do with dental hygiene

I purchased u-shaped toothbrushes (3 for the price of 2 bundle) from BeamSmile which did not match the expectations created by the sponsored ad on FaceBook. I’d go as far as saying it’s misrepresentation from a dropshipping operation. When I contacted the company by email ( there is no telephone number or UK address to write to) to report the product quality, the poor instructions riddled with spelling mistakes and no British quality standards; and to request a refund for the unopened boxes, I was told the only way to receive a full refund was to return the items to their China warehouse at my own cost, despite the product being marketed to UK customers. This is unreasonable, so I asked to return instead to their warehouse address in Norton Cranes but that was denied.

The company did offer a partial refund, but refused to address the concerns about the product itself, the lack of UK services and instead responded with very defensive and extremely emotional emails with bizarre accusations and “ we have your details” and “we will fight this” and we “always win”, then reported my email as spam so I can no longer reach them.

Overall, the process felt unnecessarily difficult and not in line with what I would expect from a reputable company selling to UK consumers.

I have escalated the issue through my card provider and will report the matter to Citizens Advice and Trading Standards, particularly regarding potential misleading claims about the origin of the product.

Great product, fast delivery and good customer service. Does take a bit of getting used to but once you get the hang of it you will not go back to a regular toothbrush.

I got it for myself and my family, and tbh, we all really enjoyed and loved it!

DO NOT BUY!! Do not touch these products with a barge pole. If you’ve already bought them, DO NOT OPEN. Send them straight back and get a refund. Once you’ve opened your shiny new “toothbrush”, you will not get a refund.

Your product will arrive and it will look legit (until you read the packaging properly and see the Chinglish), and you will open it and use it. You will discover, like the brave explorer of dental hygiene that you are, that you have been conned. And there is no recourse.

It’s not unreasonable to say “no returns” on an opened toothbrush, you might think. It’s also not unreasonable to expect a product to do the job it’s sold for. A product, apparently, that 3.5k people think is amazing. I am not sure what those (human?) reviewers are doing with their shiny U-shaped brushes. These do not brush your teeth. They do not clean your teeth. They are probably more effective as a sex toy.

Take heed. Don’t make the mistake I did. It won’t be the most cash you’ve ever wasted (or spent getting wasted), but it will hurt your pride when you realise you’ve been had.

P.S. if you need some actual evidence, read a 2020 public health paper “Efficacy of a U-Shaped Automatic Electric Toothbrush in Dental Plaque Removal: A Cross-Over Randomized Controlled Trial”. Yes, I know I should have done my due diligence before I shelled out. I was led on in hope, and forgot my critical faculties.

P.P.S. UPDATE - In a weeks-long email conversation with Beamsmile customer service, I was offered 3 different 'final' offers of a partial refund, or to return the goods to China for a full refund, a modus operandi cited in other reviews. I opted to return the goods (more out of curiosity than expectation of success) and today received an email from the owner of Beamsmile telling me that the promise of a refund had been made in error, I woud not receive a refund and my review had caused the decision to close the BeamSmile shop.

The shop is now closed and the Beamsmile email address is bouncing back emails as spam. This 3-month-old operation has now ceased, but doubtless they will be set up elsewhere by dinner-time. I have reported them to Trading Standards here in the UK and begun the charge-back process with my bank, who will retreive the payment from Beamsmile.

If you have had contact with Beamsmile since your purchase, or have attempted to contact them, you may also be eligible for a refund.

Terrible cheap, ineffective product and nonexistent customer service, argumentative and do not respect UK consumer rights. Wont allow returns.

The product does not work and is completely ineffective. It’s laughable that they are selling this as a toothbrush as there’s no way it could possibly be effective given its design. It’s just some vibrating silicone. There are numerous reviews from dental professionals explaining that these 360 degree toothbrushes do not work.

Other companies would have taken the feedback on board and committed to changing the design so it can function as a toothbrush. They’ve taken…a different approach (!) as they clearly aren’t interested in selling a functional device. They aren’t cheap either! I paid almost £60 including a spare mouthpiece, delivery and warranty.

Their website has reviews but no process to provide reviews anywhere which leads me to question whether they are genuine. They also claim to offer a 60 day money back guarantee if you’re not happy with the product - they do not honour this guarantee unless unopened. How can you judge the effectiveness of a product without opening it? I feel very foolish for falling for this as I think it’s very misleading.

They offered me a very small partial refund (which I did not agree to, they sent it anyway) and refused to allow me to send the product back to them, even though they can resell the majority of the device as the mouthpiece is fully detachable and is the only piece that would have to be discarded for hygiene reasons. I also bought an additional mouthpiece for £9.99 which they won’t let me send back, though the partial refund does cover this part.

They are very unpleasant to deal with - making baseless accusations against me and threatening me with legal action for seeking support from PayPal with this matter. They accused me of “fraud” for accepting the partial refund and keeping the product - even though this was at their insistence and I did not accept the partial refund amount but they sent it anyway. In their threatening email they pointed out they have my address, which left me feeling very unsafe and has caused a lot of distress. I have withdrawn my PayPal dispute following these threats as I don’t want the situation to escalate. I will pursue the refund by other legal means.
