My family ordered a quarter beef. Surprised us, delivered the NEXT DAY. Wow. Impressive quality. We come from the Dakotas and have high expectations being used to grass-raised beef. This beef exceeds expectations. Will be coming back for more.

I love these guys and am really excited…
I love these guys and am really excited for the shop to open. I first starting buying from them a while back at the Farmer’s Market. Mostly bison, but sometimes other meat. I started ordering online during the pandemic and their service is great. Sometimes I’d get the delivery the same day. The meat is good quality and very tasty. We’re committed to buying local, humanely raised meat. And Beck & Bulow is our go-to.

Elk Medallions Best Meat I've Ever Tasted
I ordered a pound of grassfed beef, wild caught salmon, boar bacon and elk medallions. I was able to chat with customer service about the source of the salmon and its safety for my 2 year old daughter. Received the products quickly. The bacon is delicious. The elk medallions were the best meat I've ever tasted. It was clean, flavorful and tender. I expected it to be gamey and it wasn't at all. I'm very happy and will be ordering again.

Beware the description may be deceptive
I was sold Bison Strip steaks that had no description stating that they were "bone in." (which changes Quantity of meat and pricing). Bone is tied to Tendons or Gristle making it a B____ to cut and harder to eat. The description is deceptive and unprofessional, and If I could ship it back I would. There are plenty of honest Bison dealers on the web. I suggest you search them out before buying here.

Our understanding is that you placed an order for 8 Bison New York Steaks on New Years Eve Thursday Dec, 31st. Your order was then shipped the following Monday Jan, 4th and arrived on time on Jan, 8th. Your order was fine until you cooked one and found it was a bone-in steak instead of the boneless steak you thought you would be enjoying. What seems to be the point of miscommunication is: at the time that your order was placed, our website did not specify whether the New York Steaks are boneless or bone-in.
Our product inventory does at times contain both boneless and bone-in Bison New York Steaks. When your order was prepared, our inventory contained steaks that are only bone-in. To avoid confusion on this matter going forward, our team has updated Bison New York Steak description to reflect our current inventory.
We hope you're able to enjoy the rest of the steaks you've ordered from us. Our team loves the bone-in cuts! There is evidence that suggests bones add nutritional content and they also add flavor in the grilling process. Should you decide to order again, we would be more than happy to elaborate on any product description, answer any questions you have, and provide a coupon code that is exclusive to you.

Subscription Customer
We are now subscribers to a once every two months box of assorted products, which is perfect for our family of two. Our last box contained wild boar bacon. I am a hunter's daughter and wild boar has never appealed to me as they are pretty mangy. The wild boar bacon was absolutely delicious. I used it for boeuf bourguignon, with breakfast and to flavor soup. With the ground bison, I have been making meatballs for spaghetti or using it for a ragu. We are very pleased with the quality of the products. We are also grateful for the convenience of the subscription that reduces our time shopping during covid.

I ORDERED 2 BISON BONLESS RIBEYE STEAKS, (ORDER # 10280) IT WAS DELIVERED ONLY 1, AFTER A FEW DAYS I CALLED TO COMPLAIN. THE OTHER STEAK WAS SENT RIGHT AWAY, WHICH IS GOOD; BUT THAT MAKE ME REALIZED THAT YOUR HEAD QUARTERS ARE IN THE SAME CITY; SANTA FE, AND I PAID $20.00 SHIPPING, SO I SENT A MESSAGE; THEIR ANSWER WAS THAT THEY HAVE TO DELIVERY TWICE, IT IS LIKE IT WAS MY FOULT THAT THEY DID NOT SEND THE CORRECT ORDER.

Hi Flor, thank you for letting us know about your experience with Beck & Bulow and also for placing an order with us.
Just to recap: We typically only deliver to La Cienaga on Tuesdays and Fridays. However, since you called us yesterday to let us know a steak was missing, we wanted to justify the order right away. We made an exception and sent a delivery driver outside of normal delivery times. I'm glad we are able to get the missing ribeye out to your kids in a timely manner.
I hope this information on delivery fees is helpful -- All local deliveries that are under $200 have two options for receiving the meat. These options are available to choose from at the checkout page. I have attached a screenshot to this email showing where the shipping options are located. On your order #10280 the "$20.00 Paid Delivery" was selected. You were only charged the $20 once, correct? No charges should have been applied for yesterday's delivery.
